It’s only a flesh wound. King goes Full Python

1151

Celtic hammered Newco 5-1 home and away last season, knocked them out both cups, won one other game and conceded a late equaliser, allowing Newco their only moment of (cough) glory last season.

We finished 39 points ahead of Newco (who were 33 points from bottom). As we set off for the summer, glowing after the first invincible treble in history, chairman of Newco, that complete muppet Dave King, told the assembled media, “In footballing terms I don’t think Celtic are as far ahead as they could have been – certainly with our new signings.”

The two 5-1 defeats now look like Python’s Black Knight losing his legs one at a time, but protesting they were little more than flesh wounds. Except Python was a parody, this guy is being serious!

So, Brendan, Peter, Dermot, get the finger out. These people don’t believe 5-1 is a substantial enough winning margin. When we pitch up at Ibrox on the weekend of 23/24 September, ‘go Medieval on their ass’ to borrow from Quentin.

Take five minutes to update yourself on The Road to Lisbon cyclists, who traveled from Celtic Park to Estadio Nacional last month.

This has been a phenomenal and inspiring effort by a group of Celtic fans – and so many donors.  What a great thing to be a part of.

Even the most hungry, impoverished and destitute, can retain personal class that would shame kings, queens, heads of states, and CEO’s of any bank you care to mention.

  2. Ha! Ha! Glibby questioning the legitimacy of titles won by Celtic, while claiming 54, a good number of which should be removed from the records, won by a club that’s now deid, to which Sevco act in tribute.

Wasn’t that long ago that he was spouting pish about taking Rangers(1872-2012) out of liquidation to stop those ‘hater’ fans of other teams tormenting them with the new club truth. Why would you have to do that, Glibby, if your club didnae die?

Creditors lost out on over 100 million pounds by dint of Rangers (1872-2012) ceasing to exist. The debt is gone, so they are too.

Thanks for mentioning the great victory by the West London CSC in London yesterday. Gubbing the Lazio lads 5-3 in a feisty match. After getting revenge on Porto in the semi final, the victory was sweet and the Lhad and his pals celebrated well.

I am not posting just now, but I do pop in and saw your post.

The ads are getting worse in my opinion and even though I turn off Java etc… the links are not open then. It’s all a bit of a drag especially when the politico police are pontificating.

Have a good day everyone, I return to my slumber now. HH

Its strange that theWest London CSC’s last two wins were against Porto and Nazio.

In our 2002/ 2003 Uefa cup run, Porto beat Nazio in the other semi final that season.

We all know they are not legitimate.

    That does not stop them.

In a place where justice is stifled by bigotry, they do what they like.

Its not as if there is anybody to challenge them, sadly.

He must know that to “close the gap” we would have to go massively backwards.

He probably thinks he can rile Celtic into spending loads of money to “show him”, and might end up with a load of Flos. Nice try, Dave – but it ain’t gonna happen – we have our own strategy and an attention-seeking gobshirt isn’t going to change it.

Must really hurt to know that you are so irrelevant that you have to come out with such guff to get some attention.

  15. Whatever anyone says about the lying King he is good for a laugh. You would be hard pushed to find a more deluded individual. Except maybe the 500 million supporters of his club.

King is a laughing stock ,even to a fair number of his own Sevvies. He comes out with these fantastic lies so glibly and shamelessly, that one might think he was a glib and shameless liar.

  18. Parks and Letham want their ‘ Soft loans’ repaid pronto. Lying King needs moolah tout suite ergo his triumphant victory over Ashley. And once again the most stupidest fans in the world pick up the tab by buying the out of date stock.

For what it’s worth — absolutely not my cup of tea . UK trad crap/.middle of the road easy listening tosh .

My old man was ( and still is ) a big fan of New Orleans jazz– King Oliver / Kid Opry / Jelly Roll Morton etc ..UK Trad was little more than an insipid beige imitation of that stuff .My old man wouldn’t let the likes of Acker Bilk / Kenny Ball in the house ..

Bilk made lots of money .. He sold lots of choons and played to big audiences . He also got a lot of session work – eg Van Morrison / Sandy Denny . That suggests that he could play his instrument.

  23. GORDON64 @ 11:02 AM,

Too True, it is unbelievable what Rangers/Sevco fans will believe but this deal won’t solve any issues for anyone… IMO, it was hatched to keep DCK out of Court and indemnify him of all personal responsibility in crashing the Sevco Retail deal.

Looking DCK’s statement I can see nowhere Sevco are going to get money from this deal, outwith token “Net Profit” paid at the end of the Season.

In fact, when Sevco’s UofFs were organising the Boycott, one of their beefs were, that Rangers Retail hadn’t paid over the Cash due to Sevco.

Now MASH as we know controls Rangers Retail and Sevco owed MASH £5M at the time, later Sevco were in a Court Case with Rangers Retail, for breach of contract.

Under those circumstances I’m sure Rangers Retail weren’t minded to pay Sevco the Cash.

Now if King had managed to wrestle it from Rangers Retail’s coffers he’d be announcing it from the highest mountain… or Mr Traynor…

So, I believe Sevco will see No money from the old deal and a pittance from the new deal.

A business Guru, Stephen Covey coined the phrase Win-Win as an approach to Business Dealing.

Parks and Letham will be in the process of finding out what Ashley knows… DCK is the Lose-Lose guy in Business Dealing….

    Hail Hail

  24. weebobbycollins on

Spoke to a journo friend last week. Asked him if Traynor still wielded influence in sports department, he replied in the affirmative.

Doesnt seem that way. They are getting money from somewhere, and they can literally do whatever they like without any comeback whatsoever.
