Juxtaposition of Keane with wannabes elsewhere

Worst Rangers [sic]team in history?
Check.

Worst Rangers [sic]chief executive in history?
Check.

Worst Rangers [sic]fans in history?
Oh, please.  They have played their part to perfection.

Worst Rangers [sic]manager in history?
Who, Ally the Great Enabler?  No way.

Charles Green would not have any authority at Ibrox if Ally McCoist didn’t act as his enabler last year.  While every Celtic fan with a keyboard was typing “Can they really be so stupid again?” Ally was cutting a deal for almost 5% of the share capital of the company [sic].  None of this would be possible without Ally.  If you see him, buy him a pie.

The juxtaposition was pointed out to me:

19 years after John Keane stepped forward with an amount of money very precious to him..

With no guarantee it would solve our problems…

Or that he would see a penny of it again (for the record, he hasn’t, and he is unlikely to)…

A very different history played out across the city.

Today’s Herald told us the group trying to overthrow the Sevco board contains Jim McColl and that, “McColl is one of Scotland’s richest people, but he won’t spend his own money”.

The world is full of rich men who will not spend their own money.  Long may they squabble over the Ibrox debris.

Our honorary chairman, John Keane, waved to the Celtic Park crowd before letting the league flag fly high, a direct consequence of putting his money where his mouth was.

I think Charlie is back as a consultant specifically to respond to the issue that Ibrokes’s condition has become a serious safety consideration. Lots of money is required to “fix” things. Construction contractors are hesitant to work unless the funds are up front because The Ragers don’t have enough of the readies. And the cost will be borne or not borne depending on which end of the directors table you are sitting at. Its going to get ugly.

Charles Green is a consultant at sevco to make as much money as possible for Charles Green between now and December.

  29. Mornin fholks,

I’m working the nightshift as well, but took a break to read that top 10 loyal players (well, 2 of the entries) with a cup of tea and a smoke.

Enjoyed the read (well written actually, which is a rarity these days !), but “worst team” accusation for the Maestro’s team mates was a bit harsh I thought.

Paul and Tommy were cheated out of more than one league title in the 90s. If not that for that, they’d have progressed. It was the cheating that stagnated the Celtic team in the 90s as much as anything else if you ask me. To be fair though, there were a few poor quality players whose names I won’t mention :)
