Keane asks not to be considered

1184

Reports out of Ireland that Roy Keane is no longer in the running for the Celtic job are correct.  The former Sunderland and Ipswich boss asked not to be considered as Celtic have tightened their shortlist over the past few days.

The overwhelming majority of opinion on the blog and elsewhere is that Celtic would be taking an enormous risk with Roy Keane, feedback which I know has reached the club.  These decision are all risky, and there are no guarantees we will be able to do better than Roy, but I’d be prepared to take that risk.

Let me know if you would like to attend the CQN Question and Answer evening at the Manor Club, Wimbledon, on 21 June, with a confirmed line-up of Lisbon Lion, John Hughes, and our own Brogan Rogan and Auldheid, celticquicknews@gmail.com

Visit the CQN Bookstore to get Tommy Gemmell to sign your personal copy of his tome, All the Best.

Im not in touc with who is good up and coming or available gaffers i europe so a steve clarke/ john collins double would do me.

Seriously concerned about the team we will have available fr the qualifiers.. We seem to punt players alot quicker than we sign them.

    P.s

Saw some facebook article today saying Hooper demans to leave norwich and return to celtic.. Anything about that ?

I know what yer saying fella, I really do.

But, where I would differ from you is, by blaming

thd good old natured Celtic supporters.

Too well meaning – too trusting – too faithful(?)

The trick is – to make the ‘bored’ work for ‘your’ money.

Apperently 40k have handed over their SB money – thats worthy

of respect – in massive doses. imho

Now that the ‘bored’ have the money from the fans, thats it for them,

no pressure of – having to bring in a manager to sell the gig.

The died huns has taken a gun a way from the ‘boreds’ heads in terms

of, competitive pressure or, competing v’s cheats. Was always thus.

Hopefully, the ‘bored’ will pull a ‘rabbit’ oot the hat for yeez.

Every rebel need a tyrant – CSC

    Off oot – bye Tims.

I was told sales were going really well. Once the genie was out the bottle on waiting lists, I think it was always gonna be difficult to maintain 50k plus ST’s. I’d hope every fan who can would continue to buy one but the growing disgrace of food banks in the UK tells the story of economic conditions.

It’s also losing the habit of attending every week. The displays at CP in the SPFL were worth the money last season IMHO.

I think the new club will not see a huge pay at gate next season. Except for their huge games against the embra diddy teams.

Just got a new mobile, an HTC One M8, and when I am the comments section of the blog I cannot see where I can refresh the page. The only way I can do this is to skip back to the previous page then forward again. It’s an Android phone so can anyone suggest how I fix this, please?

Aye, on second glance appears sales going well – couple of lower sections I would have expected to fill a bit quicker(eg. 109) but pleanty time I suppose… a bit of a concern how many will make it to Murrayfield though hopefully Tims in those areas will appear.

The Guardian reports Roy Keane has pulled out as an ITV pundit for the World Cup to focus on coaching. The Republic of Ireland assistant boss has been strongly linked with an assistant’s role at Aston Villa, which it is believed he would be able to undertake in addition to his international job.

    emusanorphan,

Thanks for that. When I did that nothing happened but when I held the screen longer it gave me the option to open in Chrome, so I actually wasn’t on the page using any platform it was just a shortcut that I had made on my home screen.
