GOALKEEPER Gunnar Nielsen believes if the Faroe Islands can beat Greece TWICE in the Euro 2016 qualifiers – Stjarnan
can stun Celtic in the
 Champions League .
The former Motherwell No.1 played for the Faroes in the shock wins over their much-fancied opponents.
And he believes Stjarnan can send shock waves around Europe by defeating Ronny Deila’s
men and progressing in Europe’s elite competition.
Ahead of their second qualifying round first leg clash on Wednesday at Parkhead, Nielsen said: “We have to believe we have a chance to go through.
“It’s like when I play for the Faroe Islands.
“We’re a country of just 50,000 people, but we’ve beaten Greece twice, who have a population of around 11 million.
“For us to beat Celtic, it would be similar. With the stadium and fans they have, it would send shock waves around Europe if we won.
“We are going to Glasgow to surprise a few people.”
