Congratulations to everyone who participated in the 9-in-a-row CQN Charity Golf Day at Aberdour in Fife, yesterday. The event, auctions and raffles leading up to it raised £6000, the bulk of which will go to the 1254125 appeal, while some will go to Clic Sargent, who help families with children with that dreadful disease.
Lisbon Lion, Willie Wallace, and his wife Olive, were fantastic guests, who enjoyed spending a day with 70 or so friends. It doesn’t matter how far away Lisbon Lions live, you always find them the same way.
My sincere thanks to everyone who came along, bid of the auctions or bought a raffle ticket, all in aid of people you will never know. Thank you from all of us to John, Kevin and John, for their stressful work in pulling the event together, for the ninth year!
125 years ago a handful of people, living in a community devastated by hunger, destitution and TB, but who could make a difference, decided they would make a difference. As a result, Celtic was born. Celtic is not just something to brighten up your weekends, it’s not purely there to build friendships or to create common-interests across the generations, it is a movement you are required participate in.
The clarion call to all Celtic fans this year is to do more than just put your hand in your pocket, the spirit which gave birth to the concept of Celtic will only survive if those who can get involved, inspire a fresh generation by doing so.
Go register for 1254125, and commit to doing something to raise £125. It can be anything. You can walk a 1888 meters, go to the barbers and get a baldy to celebrate the signing of Amido Balde, it doesn’t need to be as ambitious as the 150 brave souls who right this very moment are atop Ben Nevis about to undertake the world’s highest huddle.
If you believe in this club, don’t leave it to someone else to take care of what’s important. The same goes for your season ticket. It has been over a century since we have been as close to the founding spirit of our club, but the sporting dramas which inspire us all are not achieved by new strikers, they are the fruits of tens of thousands fans buying season tickets.
Go stake your claim on Celtic.

Roasted cheese, toasted on both side, salt & pepper and a wee bit of Branston pickle .
Bring out the Branston!
Cue a fanfare of trumpets
The guy on Celticminded who has the info about the Wanyama bid was asked if it was £11.5m…he said it is more.

You toast one side then you turn it over and put cheese on it and toast that side!
You don’t toast it and then put cheese on it that is just wrong wrong wrong, there are so many misguided people in this world, what are they thinking?
Roasted cheese, get’s my goat and don’t start me o goats cheese.
Infrequent poster that I am and being told off by Oldtim on numerous occasions on Friday and Saturday, I’m going to make an effort to post more frequently, shouldn’t be hard…
Just like to echo everyone’s comments on the Aberdour golf day, fantastically well organised, EBTs went down a treat and managing to sort the weather was something else (sun always shines on the righteous). Well done to all involved. A great day/evening.
I’m now in possession of a quantity of alcohol that I’m going to need a hand to drink, so Oldtim, you’d better get yourself up here for that fourball!

Whether its grilled roasted or toasted, sliced or grated cheese is irrelevant, the outstanding question is:
does the bread get buttered?
Never butter the bread but add some pepper and salt. #2

No butter, hate it, food of the devil
I’m convinced a YES vote will mean bigger changes than we’ve been led to believe. For example I’d give Catholic schools five years max in an independent Scotland. It will be dressed up as anti-sectarian and progressive just like the football thing.

Your a man of the world, you have sampled fare in many a fine establishment and also in Ayrshire,
What’s your take on this culinary debate?
I was in Orlando in ’94 at the Ireland v Mexico game.
Got to be one of my worst experiences of sitting through a match witht the Mexican fans.
A horrible lot.
Outside the game afterwards there was a lot of blows traded between the fans.
I hope they get gubbed in every game they play; except when they play Engerrrland or the Northern Huns of course!!
What a goal from Pirlo!!

Pirlo – what can you say
Pirlo scores a cracker.

Roasted cheese, toasted on both side, salt & pepper and a wee bit of Branston pickle .
This is what I am talking about?????
Roasted cheese, toasted on both side, So if you toast it on both sises it becomes ROASTED?? Why?
Do you toast a chicken casserole? NO
Do you toast a leg of lamb? NO
Do you toast a nice lamb stew? NO
When you have toast with butter do you call it ROAST? NNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO?
Goalkeeper looked like he pulled out of that save.
Anyone flew with Ryanair recently, flying out to Spain on Wednesday with them and hearing a few horror stories about the weight and size of the cabin bag. Taking a flexible holdall on board, if the weight is ok should I still worry about it fitting in their wee thingummyjig?
Thanks in advance

A bhoy winner.
Anyone else sent an appeal letter to the ASA, looking around the other sites, I believe only two of the original 78 have done so.

Thanks for your comment. On the one hand we are being urged to persuade PL and the Board to be more “pro-active” vis a vis the SFA and CO yet leave our country’s future to the good offices of the Labour Party. (Yes, whose MPs ask Jack Irvine to “prepare” letters for them.) And they worry about the future of Catholic schools in a post independence Scotland?? I resent the idea that I don’t care about RCs. I well remember the days of “RCs need not apply” for jobs or house tenancies. If I was on the same side in a debate as the most zealous zombies and criticised opponents for being on the same side as Kirsty Wark, ffs, I would take a good look at myself. HH

If you mean Rudnevs would move to Celtic, it is impossible in my opinion . He is best Hamburger striker.

Too late to make a difference – but flying with Ryanair is generally a mistake.
They are a disgraceful company in every way. Be prepared to spend extra money.
penalty for Mexico
scores …1-1

Just had a word with my daughters. Best check Ryanair website for dimensions but if it disnae fit then the fact it isn’t overweight won’t matter.

Think we are singing from the same hymnsheet – but my Granny used to put the cheese on the bread then shove it under the grill- her teeth couldn’t cope with proper toast. Some of her offspring continue thus tradition. Shameful.

Thank you for your kind message. I’ll reply soon.
palacio67,
It really depends on the ground crew -if it’s a sports type holdall you should be ok as long as the weight is ok.
Flew to Milan a couple of weeks ago and saw an Italian woman being stopped – £60 to put her bag in the hold and she was going bonko!!
DavieL
On the airline issue for anyone flying sleazy jet they are reducing cabin bag size as well, best check that before attempting to board or its another £40 to get it put in the hold.
