Palestinians are the only people on earth asked to guarantee the security of their occupier, while Israel is the only country to call for defense from it’s victims.
I think both these posts answer your simplictic question about whether Israel has the right to defend it’self. Israel doesn’t want peace, that has been clear for over 20 years now, they are on a path to try and eliminate the Palestinian people by any means neccesary.
The starting point for any negociated settlement must be a return to the 1967 borders, anything else is never going to work. The Zionists in Israel know what will bring a sustainable peace but have chose not to go down that road. While the west supports them militarily and financially they will never deviate from their chosen path of violence towards the Palestinian people.
Isael is an appartheid state that is out of control, to deny that is to deny the truth.
