Legia looming

847

Celtic have played four games against Polish opposition, losing to Legia Warsaw and Wisla Crakow in 2006 friendlies, drawing thanks to a very late Kenny Dalglish goal against Wislaw, before losing the return game. We’re going to need to break new ground if we’re to reach the Champions League play-off round.

As I predicted, you can ignore the 1-1 draw with St Pat’s last week, Legia are a far better team than that result suggested and it now looks like they have thrown off their summer slumber.

Time to hit form, Celtic.

On the issue of strengthening the team I believe we will all be a little surprised by Ronny’s signings.

it has been my opinion since he was appointed that it was much to do with the market we need to work in, we can afford decent Scandinavian players, Ronny knows the market

We don’t build teams…get real ….we sell our best players for profit…sound business planning it may be ….team building it certainly isn’t

FWIW,nearly everyone down here who spoke to me about it was positive.

  8. Just a thought – If Dermot want to use Celtics brand to generate $$ he should consider a partnership with a franchise in USA East Coast. Football interest has dramatically increased and with the additions of New York City , Miami and others to follow , i see a huge opportunity for Celtic to leverage Irish/Scots fan base (Boston , Chicago , NYC)

Set Boston Celtic Soccer e.g.. Initially to raise money for the poor , get my drift.

Others will follow Man City’s lead – Celtic can exploit too!

  9. Bhoys, been oot the country all day (englandshire) and just back in,

Is the ticket office at Celtic park open, for sales of tickets for next round ?

Not in home cup scheme, as I do not attend any SFA sponsored games (league cup or Scottish cup)

    Thanks in advance

Don’t worry mate St Pats full time we are part time but we’d still run them close – both miles out if their depth tho

Delighted with reds performance in Europe to be honest just gutted I won’t see Celtic in Ireland again this year during qualifiers
