Celtic had the chances to put tonight’s tie to bed in the first half in Copenhagen, but profligacy in front of goal and a subsequent revival by the home team mean we have to win the game and earn the right to be in tomorrow’s last-16 draw.
The absence of suspended Ryan Christie and injured Olivier Ntcham leaves Neil Lennon with fewer options than normal. Tom Rogic is a straight replacement for the No. 10 role, but Tom has seen little football in recent months, it will be asking a lot of him to play an entire 90 minutes. It’s sad to be talking about child abuse on the day of the big Europa Cup. What happened was a tragedy. Legal proceedings are in train. There will be Insurance Companies involved amongst others. It is clear that Celtic have acted responsibly so far. They are precluded from doing anything until Legal Proceedings are determined.
Then & only then can Celtic act, If found liable in law, they or their Insurers will be obliged to make repayments, if found not liable Celtic can opt to make voluntary ex gratia payments, I would hope and indeed confidently expect that Celtic will do just that,
This is one where we will all just have to wait & see, wading in at this stage is not helping.

By coincidence of course, thanks to ‘The Athletic’ what is now being discussed is known as;
“The Copenhagen Access Model”. Not to be confused with the Amsterdam Access Model of which some on here might be more familiar. It is a new route to Europe, based in part on the club rather than the national coefficient.
Does it actually involve beating Copenhagen? That is the question.
