Issue 16 of CQN Magazine is out today and (in my never humble opinion) is our best yet. We are right up to date, with coverage of the Scottish Cup final. Phil Mac Giolla Bhain gives historical perspective on Celtic’s position as the last apex in the game.
You’ve ready plenty of great stories of how people got their tickets Seville and we bring you a very Celtic story on how one man got his. Did you notice we’ve mentioned Willie Wallace a bit recently? Some of the reasons why are covered by two of Scotland’s best writers, Brogan Hogan and Archie MacPherson, excerpts of their contributions to Heart of a Lion are here for you.
There are lots more great articles….. including our cover theme, The Lions Roar Again Event. The remaining Lisbon Lions are back at Celtic Park for a Q&A and Lisbon film show, in aid of 1254125. The first event was one of those special Celtic occasions, if you missed it, make sure you get along this time.
Opportunities like this don’t come along often. Book your tickets for the event here, bring the family.
DON’T TRY TO READ THE MAGAZINE FROM THE GRAPHC BELOW, that is just a teaser. For a proper read, go here. Use the navigation buttons at the bottom to flick through pages or zoom in.

dont shoot me, but i have taken to reading the daily mail, i find it hilarious,
kevin mckenna had a peice yesterday titled
“Small talk is still a big deal for Scots”
the gist of it being Glaswegians like to talk, because we need to know who we are keeping company with , quoting Willie McIlvanney in Laidlaw saying “in a glasgow bar you never know where the next assualt on your privacy is coming.
Later in the article he has this wee gem :
In Glasgow , the art of small talk can often keep the lid on some of the tensions that swirl and churn below the surface , like when a stranger is introduced to other company
“what did you say your name was again ?”
“Vinny”
“I see …….
Thus the group knows that the new chap is a catholic, probably from the west of scotland
2013, Scotland.
No VP it was the Calderwood Square in E.K I was regularly attacked there by strange zombie knuckle draggers for being too handsome . Lol

Ive got crackin photies of the Lou testimonial.
My memories very similar to you.
Ive got a cracker of TB holding his hands up after missing a great chance in front of us.
And another of Lou waving the tricolour after the match.
I need to get them online.
Maybe we should gob to a country like Croatia and see how they develop their players.
Population less than us but they arc ranked in the Top Ten in the world.
Gob = go
HT,
Just catching up, as I’m away from base.
All t,he players mentioned played under the prevailing T & Cs of the day, but only Dalglish paid his dues to the club.
GC escapes censure in this respect, but not the other two.
Unfortunately for DH, his career was virtually over when he left CP.
He was the player that Big Jock wanted to build his new team around and it broke his heart when he left.
I’m off to catch up n the Ireland game.

Very ambivalent about a team the represents the SFA.
Saying that one of my best memories was when we beat the Czechs to qualify for the World Cup in 74.
Was I the Rangers end that night when Big Joecscored the winner.
*Ally Hunter’s demise as a dependable goalie ended that night.

Just ban orcs from having anything to do wiv Scottish football and we half–way there !!
:)
Tontine Tim
You mean beat the Czechoslovaks in 1974.
Is Ian Black on the bench
Scotland have played well tonight given the limitations and call offs.
Croatia thought they just had to turn up and they admitted it.
Hope Scotland and WGS get a result. Wee Shaun doing a good job here.

TBB ” Just ban orcs from having anything to do wiv Scottish football and we half–way there !!”
Bit radical bit I’m willing to go with that. :)

seen the highlights on youtube of the czech match recently. A truly awful attempt to save nehodas shot from ally. It moved arthur montford to say (not for the last time) “and thst is disaster for scotland”
Greenyin
Snake,
I’d go as far to say if (massive if) Scotland take 3 points tonight it’s up there with the victories versus France.

Absolutely
Celts,
You may have noticed an earlier post of mine a few days ago regarding my non Cqn signed WW book.
Well my friends in Celtic you wouldn’t believe the shit that happens to me, so as a recent example,
1 on the day WW signed Cqn book arrived. No signature
2 the same day, cycled into work on a brand new bike, came off and messed the bike and myself
3 although in a lot of pain as I was on maxi co codomol, I thought I’d cut down all the overhanging trees n branches. I cut through the strimmer.
The above all happened last Wed.
I only post for the craic and you should ken that it all happened as I said above.

Make sure you buy a lotto tomorrow,
For safety reasons I’d suggest you do it online.

A misconception about Czechoslovakia is that the best players were all Czech. The opposite is actually true overall.
The Czech Republic team of the 90s and early 00s was a great side but the Slovaks historically made a big impact on that team.
How good would it be if Scottish football wasn’t corrupt to the core, and we could all get behind national team?
Watching the Scotland game and as Eduardo comes on no mention of his dive Celtic.
southside
Get behind WGS and Mark McGhee

With you on that but only if the MSM such as the commentator on this game explained things without Sevco blinkers on.

Well I must say, I was born in Scotland, grew up in Scotland and hd a good career in Scotland. It is one of the most beautiful countries in the world. So, I’m sorry if some people are offended by this, Tough. I love my country. There I said it.
*me tae no regrets whatsoever about growing up there on the Bonnie Banks, Dumbarton born Mrs. TT feels the same way.
We will be here 38 years this month and this is home tae us, but Scotland is still hame.
Our oldest granddaughter is over there right now based in Dumbarton. Last Monday night she texted us tae say she was in the Doghouse in Balloch, my oul local and my da’s. She’s loving it, the weather as you know is gorgeous (no that great over here with lots of rain) and she said it’s a beautiful country which we all know.
However it has it’s dark side which we also all know about, it must be the most anti-Catholic country in the western world, in fact when people hear that I’m a Catholic they reckon that being Scottish this must be an oxymoron.
Still disnae deter us fae liking it. It’s our country tae.
Good subs by wgs. Imo
Eamon and Griffiths off.
Rhodes and Naismith on
From twitter. Just a rumour though.

As you’re around do you remember the Woodbank Hotel close to the Bear Park? Silly question as you will.
We’re in a ludge close to there. Lodge I mean.
Been impressed with griffiths tonight. No return for most of the work he was putting in but never hid. What about big Hanley as a no nonsense centre half our age profile and probs in budget?
Sorry but im rooting for sconnie botland
But what’s the odds on jammie equaliser and pen winner
Gordon Strachan gave me some good times watching Celtic, it was never going to be easy to succeed the martinist regime, so for tommy burns Thursday alone I’d like him to do well for Scotland.
blooming hell, how poor are Croatia tonight
Craigellachie, he’ll need a good few more good games for me after what I seen v Wales.
Jinky, thats what years of watching Celtic does to us ;)
If Scotland win tonight does that help the co-efficient. Just asking as it was being discussed on the blog today.

Gordybhoy,
