Look under the bonnet at Killie

647

There is no outrage louder than moral outrage, so I ignored this week’s stupidity by Kilmarnock chairman Michael Johnston, adding volume seemed moot, but if you look below the bonnet of this decision you’re likely to find the real story.  Kilmarnock FC is in a critical condition.

They need your money this week, probably even more than they need the goodwill of their own fans.  Mr Johnston’s most damaging folly has not been to offer Celtic fans a better deal than his own club’s supporters, it has been the failure to address the club’s financial imperative over a long number of years.  Like another club I can think of, getting cash in the door is the only game in town, as a failure to do so would bring enormous consequences.

It is the Killie fans who suffer as “Speaking as a solicitor” Johnston clings to what passes for power at a busted flush.  Don’t apologise for this week’s self-harming insult, instead be contrite about the actions which brought about the problem.

Return of ole Strictly the night, even without the fragrant Flavia, will soothe the disappointment of LC defeat to Cadizzzy’s other team.

Quiz question for you all – What is the link between St.Johnstone and Jesus?

I just asked a St Johnstone fand and he suggested:

They both have a J in their name!

They both have only 12 followers?

    I kid you not :))

Flamingo Land has a new sector called Dino-Stone Park and as the name suggests all the entertainment has a dinosaur flavour. This includes Cyclosaur, a children’s ride which allows riders to interact in a pedal–powered hang gliding simulation. Twistosaurus is a fantastic ride for the whole family with four cars on a track that spin independently. Moving and roaring dinosaurs are exhibited as well as full scale dinosaur skeletons and a dinosaur dig for those budding archaeologists.

    St….,

Nothing to get even, it’s the lack of reality, moderators joined in and I go truly ridiculed because I never tugged the locks FFS, then auld yin turns up tonight extolling the virtues of KDS discussion. Scunnered, latched onto the popular front, had it not been for Morissey this would be dead, as it is we still don’t know, but Auldheid is telling the world it’s a done deal, why ?

You got this wrong yesterday and you have still got it wrong after I posted that you had.

Go back and read my original post then read my correction.

Like you I wondered at the starting post on the KDS thread, particularly as from memory the original poster was against your proposal.

So I corrected him on the KDS thread and posted a link to the thread here for folk to read in its entirety.

On that score I was surprised at the difference in tone of most replies which is a tribute to the changes made from the original draft that took into account some of the points made. That was diplomacy and it worked.

I can well understand your anger at the original reception on KDS and what you do with that anger is up to you, but get your facts right on my involvement in this instance and do not direct it at me.

    great post about bobby murdoch

i was lucky enough to live thro those great early

years of bobby and watched his development from

a youth playing at the oul inside right to a world class

    right half.

to me he was the greatest celt among many.

god only knows how much he would have been worth

in todays over inflated prices of ordinary footballers

i doubt we would find out as unlike todays badge kissers

Thoughts and prayers with the Moore family

By: Newsroom Staff on 27 Sep, 2013 09:06

EVERYONE at Celtic Football Club would like to pass on our condolences to Morton manager, Allan Moore and his family following the sudden death of his brother, Steven.

The devastating news for the Moore family came just 24 hours after Allan had guided his team to a 1-0 victory over Celtic in the Scottish League Cup. Steven died while on holiday in Turkey on Wednesday.

The thoughts and prayers of everyone at Celtic are with the Moore family at this desperately sad time.

Nope, not a tribute, simply my humble attempt at raising awareness for your cause. Every time I posted with my “zadok” modified moniker a couple of weeks back I got another flurry of emails requesting it. If you get one more signature because someone laughs at my new suffix then it’s been a worthwhile change.

Hail Hail and keep up the good work.

  14. ACGR, that clear that up then…..or does it?

The main thing is that you highlight the cause which I believe is a common cause for the common good.

    Cheers.

Of course I want you to keep supporting me, my comment was to imply that I am a bit thick, but not that thick that I would alienate support for a good cause in the common good.

  19. cliftonville celt from belfast praying for Oscar the wee legend on

    Morning all

What is it about Zombies and charity ?

Heard a wee story today about the camp set up by the fleggers and OO supporters at twaddle avenue in Belfast. Basically they are camping there to protest at not being allowed to march past Ardoyne on the twelth and have set up a wee camp with a father ted caravan and more flags than you can shake a stick at.

The other day they held a McMillan Cancer coffee morning and apparently raised £1100. Someone has contacted McMillan to ask if they were happy to have their name associated with these types and guess what ????? Yep McMillan have heard nothing about this and are not very happy about it at all. Apparently Police have been contacted and McMillan want to ensure they can distance themselves from the fleggers as much as possible asap. What happened to the £1100 ? they probably invested it in Sevco shares !!!!!! Or bought new flegs

Also while this was all coming to light it also turns out that they were raising money for help for hero’s who refused their donation as they didn’t want to be associated with them either – Again wonder what happened to that money ? I feel an Irish News story coming on – I wonder if they will be directed to their cousins in Glasgow when investigating their piece ? I might send them a wee mail

  21. Just caught up on the hearts and dundee utd games after being away working .

    Virgil- super signing.

Our only week link now in defence and i hate to say it is izzy. Defence looks good. Efe has got his mojo back

Derk- defo a player in there but looks really low on confidence, hopefully a goal or couple assits very soon for him.

Centre midfield is a big worry for me, brown is vastly improved the past 3seasons but him and ledley too similar to play together in middle.

Pukki havent saw enough but sounds like he will do well, despite stokes playing great still think we could be doing with another proven goalscorer.

Roll on tuesday..so happy i’ll catch it on the telly.

Keep the faith and enjoy your weekend everyone
