Look under the bonnet at Killie

647

There is no outrage louder than moral outrage, so I ignored this week’s stupidity by Kilmarnock chairman Michael Johnston, adding volume seemed moot, but if you look below the bonnet of this decision you’re likely to find the real story.  Kilmarnock FC is in a critical condition.

They need your money this week, probably even more than they need the goodwill of their own fans.  Mr Johnston’s most damaging folly has not been to offer Celtic fans a better deal than his own club’s supporters, it has been the failure to address the club’s financial imperative over a long number of years.  Like another club I can think of, getting cash in the door is the only game in town, as a failure to do so would bring enormous consequences.

It is the Killie fans who suffer as “Speaking as a solicitor” Johnston clings to what passes for power at a busted flush.  Don’t apologise for this week’s self-harming insult, instead be contrite about the actions which brought about the problem.

    NatKnow, brewing? Brewing?…………………….Naw

Distilling is what ACGR is doing. I’ve been involved with a number of independent cask bottlings and the next one is imminent. An 11 Y.O. cask strength Craigellachie (Craigellachie Telford’s Bridge). Due out in October if I can get it in glass by then.

I’ve been buying casks in various syndicates and by myself for about 10 years. The idea is to bottle every two years and hopefully by about 2015 be bottling yearly.

I just love the stuff. Like Celtic, I just cant get enough.

Nice one mate. I was in the Caidenhead shop in Edinburgh buying someone a cask-strength Springbank a few weeks back. Could spend a lot of money in there!

    BGFC,

When this idea started it was 55p a share, it’s now nine pence dearer to have your say, how can that be bad for. The club :o)

Chances are it won’t even get aired at the AGM, good thing is lots of people made an effort to have a say, in its self that’s a major shift.

Boring now, if it gets binned, the resolution will be re written to suit protocol and hopefully issued in time for Christmass, then they will have all year to find an excuse to kill it.

Must admit I’m scunnered that anything KDS has to say is being considered here, as far as I’m concerned they tried to kill it. Now they think they can make some sort of philosophical contribution they can curate right off as far as I’m concerned, sorry but screw you, moderators ganged up against the resolution told me I was arrogant and wasting my time because I did not take kindly to their haters, honest no matter how I tried to refresh my approach it was not wanted.

So Auldheid, I thank you for trying to spread the word but naw. copulate them we’ve got this far without them, there was even one of them came on here to try an ridicule the idea of making an official challenge WTF. Bitter, yer right I am, I will never be so diplomatic again, you seen me back down to idiots, that would have been destroyed, my tongue has lost its bite and I’m no happy about that, I don’t do diplomatic in fact I detest diplomatic to me it means liar but we knew that before I started it means liar…please never consider me diplomatic please ghod…..

Hi there – I think that is one of the most important points – it opens up an avenue for questions to be asked. Question though – the CST helped advertise the resolution – do they not have a route to have resolutions placed before the AGM?

Excuse my ignorance – I know nothing (yet) about the process.

    “In My Life”

    There are places I remember

All my life though some have changed

    Some forever not for better

Some have gone and some remain

All these places have their moments

With lovers and friends I still can recall

Some are dead and some are living

In my life I’ve loved them all

But of all these friends and lovers

There is no one compares with you

And these memories lose their meaning

When I think of love as something new

Though I know I’ll never lose affection

For people and things that went before

I know I’ll often stop and think about them

In my life I love you more

Though I know I’ll never lose affection

For people and things that went before

I know I’ll often stop and think about them

    NatKnow, Sprinbank? Hubba ding!!!

A very fine dram, but I’ve never had a cask strength one…………..yet. I’ve recently polished off a 21 Tomatin cask ST and a number of Ardbegs (They are without a doubt my all time favorites but most drammers find them difficult to drink). I’ve still got a couple of bottles of “Almost There” and it’s truly magnificent. When I bought them I paid about £30 a bottle and you cant get them now unless you pay silly money. The bog standard 10 is pretty fantastic though.

Right I’ll GTF, this is Celtic Quick News, not Drammers quick booze.

I read the whole thread after auldheid posted the link earlier and couldn’t believe what I was reading, given the response you told me you got there a month or two back.

Don’t be angry, be very proud of what you’ve achieved. Think back to our early exchanges and know now I have nothing but respect for you.

Nothing to get even, it’s the lack of reality, moderators joined in and I go truly ridiculed because I never tugged the locks FFS, then auld yin turns up tonight extolling the virtues of KDS discussion. Scunnered, latched onto the popular front, had it not been for Morissey this would be dead, as it is we still don’t know, but Auldheid is telling the world it’s a done deal, why ?

Then link us to the most hostile shower of bawbags it was my misfortune to enter into intercourse and I’m still bitter, a bit like mickbhoy1888

I can deal with the bawbags on here, we are a better bit of class’s, dummy out, there’s always somebody picking up the dummy sucking it clean then sticking it back in the baby’s gub, used to be I was baby, and as soon as I get rid of this diplomacy bug I’ll be back making a right James hunt of everything and all will be well with the world agin.

but now, take a step back, get off the blogs, other than making a statement, dont get involved with the bawbags, take a step back , and get prepared for the motion, no more late night comments or blows with the hard of understanding.
