Look under the bonnet at Killie

647

There is no outrage louder than moral outrage, so I ignored this week’s stupidity by Kilmarnock chairman Michael Johnston, adding volume seemed moot, but if you look below the bonnet of this decision you’re likely to find the real story.  Kilmarnock FC is in a critical condition.

They need your money this week, probably even more than they need the goodwill of their own fans.  Mr Johnston’s most damaging folly has not been to offer Celtic fans a better deal than his own club’s supporters, it has been the failure to address the club’s financial imperative over a long number of years.  Like another club I can think of, getting cash in the door is the only game in town, as a failure to do so would bring enormous consequences.

It is the Killie fans who suffer as “Speaking as a solicitor” Johnston clings to what passes for power at a busted flush.  Don’t apologise for this week’s self-harming insult, instead be contrite about the actions which brought about the problem.

Big Nan, affirmative. I’m mair than half way there buddy.

  2. canamalar, well done on your efforts to get answers at the forthcoming AGM. Can I make a suggestion to you an fellow CQN followers. Why don’t we ask Paul, our host, to ask Peter Lawwell to come on this site for Q&A session. Just think of the questions we could ask him, LNS no sporting advantage gained, Bryson interpretation of the registration rule and what team actually played Brechin City at the start of last season, that’s just for starters. Come on Paul, what a scoop that would be for CQN.

No.I won’t manage it. I was in Glasgow yesterday for a wee practice session and managed to get through the day without getting yukkie. So I’m going to save my poor wee body for the big doo on Champions League day, Liquid refreshments with that Nakas guy, then we’re meeting up for the main party, a meal in the Merchant City, I better not mention an Italian Restaurant, or, the Professor of all things food will be on my back saying there’s no Italian restaurants in the Merchant city.

So I’ll pass on the Saturday entertainment. I hope you all enjoy the day.

I’m going to send you a mail sometime today re Barce away,We’ll have to meet up for a drink over there.

I complained to CHAS that you are taking money from a sectarian organisation. .. got a reply from them basically saying that would take there money from anyone. .. Remember Tommy Burns charity got slaughtered because they had a night with the wolftones … hmmm

  16. Life is so cruel.

Allan Moore in football wonderland on Tuesday and now having his heart broken with the sudden death of his brother at the horribly young age of 53.

Puts into perspective our football disappointment last Tuesday over losing a game and a possible treble.

Thoughts and prayers to all the Moore family and Allan’s players and colleagues at Morton.

  17. Further to last night’s Stubhub rambles. The fact that tickets for the Barca game currently available via the club’s own e-ticketing service are priced at up to £54 before fees suggests that they were in fact being offered at face value.

In which case I can’t really see any objection to the club using that route as a means of dispersal.

  18. does anyone know which sections StubHub were selling tickets in

I would hate to think that I’ve been moved out of my season ticket seat to allow the seat to be sold at a premium by a third party

    Auldheid,

    What did I get wrong?

You admit The resolution got barracked, and their moderators joined in, what’s even more annoying is some of the assholes even started coming on here to have a pop after I binned it.

The only issue I have with yourself is jumping the gun, your referring to it as a done deal, we still don’t know if the resolution has been accepted, if you know Better then at least let us know you’ve got it on good authority :o)

KDS is full of precious wee lassies and the moderators wear the most pink, I couldn’t give a funkeys muck about what they think, they had their chance to help and they preferred to try and censure the debate, there were a few very few who seen the merits but they were well outnumbered, so I really don’t appreciate or accept KDS as a promoter or helper in any way to this wee campaign of ours, you me and bobby McGee put this together and eventually with a little help from our friends we got there, I really don’t see the point in trying to curry favour with that lot after the event but it’s your playground and you can play with whoever you like I’m just a bit miffed you’d want people to go read what they have to say now when they done zero to help, there were three shareholders who contributed from that foray they are the only positives I can take, at the time I asked the moderators to delete the thread as I initially gave as good as I got and realised it was not the way to go to get support :o) so I thought it would be best to leave it to you. From what I’ve seen this is the first time it’s been dealt with since and I’ve got to ask, after all the hard work is done, why ?

Having had knuckles rapped on accuracy over GreenBrigade by PCC, Herald reporter doesn’t think innacurate BBC Trust story needs amended.

The BBC Trust took it upon themselves to let Martin Williams know his BBC Trust/Jim Spence story was not true – he’s still not fixed it.
