Making money from Jose, spoiled brat McGregor

229

There is money to be made from Celtic.  You don’t need to be a player or one of the backroom staff, you don’t even need to sell flags and scarves outside the ground.  If you are going through a major story drought and can attach a name to the vacant manager’s job, chances are you will create your two biggest stories of the year.

The same is true of the betting markets.  If he leaves Newcastle, Rafael Benitez (third favourite for the Celtic job), has options in China that would make him inordinately wealthy within a season.  He is not coming to Glasgow.

Roberto Martinez (fourth favourite for the Celtic job), is manager of Belgium – who top the Fifa rankings.  He will take some of the most gifted footballers in the game to the Euro 2020 finals in June and July next year.  If he gave that up to come to Celtic he would fail every professional criteria you would want in a Celtic manager.  This is simply not the time for Roberto, he and Rafael feature on the betting markets purely to take cash from the gullible.

Jose Mourinho fits the profile of the Benitez and Martinez stories.  He is pure 100% show business, a bankable commodity – if you and a journalist or a bookmaker.

What I know for sure is that Celtic want the treble and will do no more than send out holding messages until after the Scottish Cup Final.  This is a chance to record another remarkable historic achievement, the Treble, Treble.

Jose could alight at Dalmarnock Station this afternoon but he would not be getting an interview for the Celtic job.  Nothing will interfere with Neil Lennon’s preparation for the Cup Final.

Allan McGregor’s sending off yesterday was a truly awful incident but it is wholly the responsibility of the SFA Disciplinary Panel.  McGregor has been doing that all season, including against Kristoffer Ajer at Celtic Park.

The Disciplinary Panel decided not to take action, perhaps rendered mute by the sheer volume of red cards shown to other Newco players, but in doing so they established that this was acceptable behaviour.  Allow spoiled brats to kick others without consequence and they will continue to kick others.

We have won 8 in a Row.

Totally magical – just renewed for next Season.

Neil is as honest as you will ever find in a Fitba Manager. That will be the Strength that, hopefully, means we will get 9 Titles and then 10.

Everyone in Scotland wants Celtic to fail. I’d say most around the World want Celtic to do it.

TonTine TimYou said we should have been in the CL after Christmas. Maybe it’s you that doesn’t have a clue about Europe? Brendans Raphael record in Europe is 2CL group stages and 2 last 32 Europa.

*I’m no talking about past seasons, I’m talking about this one, if he hudnae threw his toys oot the pram we would have made the CL, however failing that he could have done a MON and took us tae the Olympic Stadium Baku 4 days after the SC Final.

But no he wisnae interested it’s as simple as that, his star was soaring and there’s nae way he wanted tae detract from that, as a narcissist it’s all about him.

He’ll be lucky tae have another crack at Europe again.

Good morning, friends, from a grey and drizzly East Kilbride. Luck and blessed to be heading off this Friday to Benelmadena for a week and, from knowing my CQN history, is it a pub called John Lemon that should be my preferred option for Sunday’s game from Ibrox?

Work calling but I’ll catch any replies later, thank you.

Bhoys/ghirls, I’m wholly in the “gratitude for what BR delivered to us” group of fans. Yeah, his exit was fugly and self-interested, but I hold no grudge, malice or resentment. The immortal Celts way bigger than that/him.

But I was interested in how many of BRs signings proved to be any good, and how many were just squad fillers.

No idea how much we might get for some of them; happy if any of yous want to speculate on what we’ll get back on characters like Eboue, Kundai, Marvin, Jack, Youssouf etc…

Or what we might recoup from driftwood accumulated under the Ronny years, too?

How have we moved on? What chants have been dropped?

The cheer up song is an embarrassment and nothing happening at Ibrox excuses it.
