McLeish frank admission, Aberdeen get it right. Will we?

1909

BBC’s series, Scotland’s Game, has become compulsive viewing. Tales of redemption for Celtic, Hearts and others, and tales of woe for some. Last night’s episode had a few remarkably frank admissions.

One which caught the eye was former-Rangers former-manager, Alex McLeish, who admitted his title winning team “would’ve been behind [Celtic]” had they not funded their squad through EBTs. We should all take note for when the Big Tax Case reaches the Supreme Court.

Pleased to see the appropriate amount of damage done to Rangers by majority owner and chairman, David Murray, was correctly attributed, with one or two character defects throw in for good measure by contributing journalist, Tom English.

Aberdeen have nailed their proverbial flag to the mast this week with the word, “No previous meeting found” on their fixture list comment on a forthcoming game against Newco. It’s a simple comment, it’s accurate, has been confirmed in writing by Uefa and will position the club shoulder-to-shoulder with their fans.

Get it right, Celtic.

You mis-read my comment. I did not accuse you or anyone on CQN of airbrushing. I mentioned “The Green Man and friends” as claiming that the history was airbrushed.

New battery in March so that it didn’t fail me over in Dublin at Easter. That worked a treat. 3 told me no roaming charges while I was there and supplied me with “No service” just to be shooor.

How many hours a day is your mobile phone both mobile and active?

If it’s an iPhone, not many would be my guess.

It’s a mini-computer with a limited battery life, and the ability to make and receive phone calls. It is far from a mobile phone by any description due to being plugged into the wall after about eight hours.

Huge con trick. And the reason I kept my oul’ Nokia. If my monthly tariff hadn’t been reduced to £12 it would have been binned.

As for Ladas, never had one. But I bet they started nearly every day and rarely broke down. Witness the number of taxi drivers who had one in the 80s. They might have been shite but that is what you paid for.

Yeah the bar I watched it was the same – one or 2 shouting for Ireland but they were Irish or 1st generation etc., – TBH if Ireland had won it would not have been a bad nite, but the Scotland win was the favoured result.

Hoping to get along to the hoot’ for a few hours, should be a great nite!
