Midfield protection

930

While Neil Lennon’s mind will be more engaged with preparations for next season than SPL results between now and then he will be a bit alarmed at how porous his midfield has been recently. Celtic have been leaking goals at the back in an alarming manner but the cover from midfield has contributed most to the problem.

Injuries have been disruptive but it’s surprising that the team shape has not been maintained, irrespective of who is playing.

I know she married into Rhodesian sanctions busting money but poor Denis might have had the same sense of direction that his son showed when rallying in the African desert or organising military coups.

‘Has there been further hilarity at the death star tonight? Am hearing all sorts of rumours about unpaid tradesmen and bills from the SPL…’

That’s the chief scout, physio, reserve team coach + the stadium manager all left the club in the last 2 weeks.

I thought they would go into admin early next year, but i might have to revise that to early winter this year given the carnage that is developing over there.

I have made a career out of avoiding carrying banners on Trade Union demos I have had a lot of practice.

last time I got asked to carry the banner was at the demonstration against the SNP closing Lightburn Hospital, it is discrimination as only get asked because I am a bit on the chunky side.

Neil Murray leaves the midden, according to SSB, nothing to see! Chuckles, is into his end game, now that sevco are the proud keepers of their first trophy investors are starting to ask awkward questions.

Any business that did ‘work now, pay later’ deals at camp runamuck really do need their heads looking at!

The sound of thin ice cracking,

  13. TBJ, I think so, he offered to help with the cost of the banner.

Che are you going on Saturday, to the rally that is?

TBJ, he’s got an empty tonight, watching the football, he’ll probably be lurking.

I’ve offered to contribute to the cost. I’m hoping that will excuse me from carrying it ;-)

  17. The criticism of David Milliband is harsh. His family is Jewish and had to flee to Britain to escape from persecution by Fascists.

Given that DiCanio described himself as a Fascist, professes admiration for Mussolini and gave a Fascist salute (for which he was punished) it seems to me that Milliband had reasonable grounds to quit.

Whether DiCanio is the right man is up to Sunderland and its fans.

If he returned to Celtic I would have strong reservations. Not just for his political views.

I will never forget the fact that he invented ‘a leetle problem’ and went on strike to force a transfer (or trade as Jock Brown would describe it!). He did that at a time when we were down having seen the Huns (RIP) equal our 9. That was unforgivable for me.

There is absolutely no doubt that DiCanio was a wonderful player but it should not be forgotten that celtic as a team actually regressed league wise in the season he played with us.

It appears that ‘banner duties’ are reserved for those of us whose girth provides a solid anchorage against the cruel Scottish wind! I always insist on a commission of a few pints of the black stuff!

Vidal booked. He should now be heading down the tunnel after his tackle on Ribery earlier.
