Milan’s mistake with their Champions League squad – they inadvertently included Stephan El Shaarawy in their restricted A List of players, instead of the B List, denying a place in either list for M’Baye Niang, is welcome news. Their squad is strong, with or without Niang, but the oversight lends credence to the notion that a malaise has settled over the club. Director, Umberto Gandini apologised, but already the Milanese are focused on what they don’t have in their armory as a result of the oversight – an excuse for failure is ready made.
I met the owner of an IT company shortly before they went into liquidation and asked him who he had on his board. “Are you not on our board too?” was his jocular response. On a completely separate matter, I am delighted at the prospect of Paul Murray and John McClelland having a second shot at being a non-executive director of a football club. Wikipedia’s definition of the roles of a non-exec is worth a cursory glance to indicate why. They did so well last time. The others, who it is proposed will share a place at Newco’s table, also appear perfect for the role. If only Sir David would come out of retirement and join them.
Will one of the many directors insist that The Rangers Football Club Ltd submits its Annual Return to Companies House? Under its previous name, Sevco Scotland Ltd, The Rangers Football Club Ltd bought liquidation assets from Duff and Phelps, and which, according to Rangers International’ PLC’s interim financial statement in March, was incorporated into the PLC’s group.
The Return is over two months late. Perhaps, with so many directors available for comment, one will be asked by a journalist or shareholder why the company which bought all the assets has not submitted basic information, revealing ownership details. Perhaps not. No hurry, a striking off notice will be weeks away.

Great point, when we reach 50 titles, their little brains will combust when they realise that one gold star means more than 5 little tin ones.
To those who agree with me that petition is important thanks for signing.
If you don’t, as I say fair play, but this is why I think it is.
If ever Sevco return to the top tier I want them to know they aren’t the same club and no one sees them as Rangers 1872, they are Sevco. If we just ignore it they will be allowed back and will feel themselves vindicated. The Club that cheated Scottish football for decades should not be allowed that luxury.

Re Gunning’s suspension. Was the original sanction not for 3 matches, and if so why was the penalty not increased given the failure of his appeal?

Any other kind of stars, worn by sad bitter teams in a desperate attempt to appease their rabid hordes and let them delude themselves into thinking that 5 means more than 1.
Think of it like 5 hooses versus a hotel in Monopoly.

Unfortunately for the bitter losers, they tried so desperately to win the hotel, that they went bankrupt and someone is likely to go to jail without passing go.

Regarding the stars on their shitie shirts. I couldn’t give a monkeys. They are no longer. Dead as a dodo and all that. I really don’t ever want to take the field of play with that lot again. There would be carnage. I also dislike the term ‘old firm’. They don’t exist anymore so the term should never be used again. Our manager, players and all club officials should be told never to get involved in any dialog with journalists when this term is used. Have nothing to do with them ever. Hate is a bad word but……
Looking forward to Stans game on Sunday. Atmosphere should be magic.

That seems to be the standard punishment. The player is offered the ban and if he loses his appeal is given the same ban.
I think the system has improved – but there are some major flaws remaining.
Why has the Sevco manager not been carpeted for ‘the list with 100 names of players and officials involved in betting’?
That claim is far more serious than Gunning having a sly kick at big Virgil.
