I went out for a smoke at half time yesterday and got talking to another Tim. He went off on one and was saying how it was a disgrace that we’d lose our first game of the season to such a poor team.

I let him finish and then pointed out that the game was far from over.

    Yip, couldn’t agree more.

There will always be some looking to assign blame though. It’s a psyche, make-up, even instinctive thing, with them.

Motherwell’s first yesterday (cause it was a goal) has to be someone’s fault. Think Shearer or Lawro on Match of the Day here in their asinine summations

For the “blamers”, Kolo was closest to the scorer ergo it had to be his fault. No praise for the cross, no acknowledgement for Moult’s movement (gamble actually), it’s myopic, to blame,in more ways than one.

For my part Motherwell’s first was simply unstoppable. A raking 1 in 100 (add a zero here ?) pass from McManus to be met exceptionally by Moult, first time and on the drop. How many of those combos result in a goal ?

I’m sure I read some critical comment about Gordon’s position too………honestly, there are some trumpets about.

  3. BIG-CUP-WINNERS on

Anyone care to tell me what Brendan did yesterday, when he took Emilio off ? Was there a change in formation, change in what ?

  4. LENNYBHOY,

Aye , big Willie just adored the Celtic.

I won a Celtic quiz night in Bairds one night on a tie break.

I was up against one of the Bhoys from Charlie and the Bhoys.

Anyway, no sooner had the tie break question was asked, I shouted out the correct answer immediately .

Big Willie and wee Bertie were gobsmacked that anyone would know the answer, especially that quickly without doing any arithmetic etc.

They asked me ” how the feck did you know that big yin, cos we disnae” ?

I replied, ” Im obviously a bigger Celtic fan than you two Chancers put together” !

They obviously saw the funny side , and I told them that it was just one of those Celtic facts that had stuck in my heid for years.

To play 3 at the back, and suffocate the midfield with hoops, it worked, i.e. McGregor scoring the first goal, love it when a plan comes together :)

  9. Rome derby coming up on BT sport. Looks like it could be lively.

Having a very lazy day. Gym work completed but to be honest I was not pushing too hard due to dodgy back. Popped a couple of painkillers will be having a drop of beer with lunch so I expect my mood to be mellow for the rest of the day.

The good wife is on Sunday roast duty, I did the Saturday scran,my joyous mood from the match yesterday led to a sublime tapas offering from my own fair hands. I am exaggerating wildly as I used mainly bought in cheeses, meats and bread. My own Russian salad was pretty impressive though.

Have a good day everyone, will be in Manchester on Tuesday looking to see further evidence of our growing stature as a team. HH

  10. Waltzing Tom Rogic, Waltsing Tom Rogic

You’ll come waltzing to the edge of the box and score a goal or 3.

We’ll sing and we’ll dance watching you bob and you weave.

Keep on Waltsing Tom Rogic for me.

Well I never. So it had nowt to do with Izzy being rotten, or being booked and cause he’s prone to rash tackles, the team being reduced to 10 men ?

Reasons for all Huns to ge cheerful… after we scud Thistle on Friday night 9 of our next 12 league fixtures are at Parkhead.

I noticed that too and double checked – from Dec 13th to end of Feb 9 of our 12 league games are at home.

Would imagine league could well be almost wrapped up by then, just in time to face The Huns at home on 11th March. Now wouldn’t that be the perfect occasion for ‘6 in a row’ !

  13. iPad canny decide between Waltsing and waltzing?

I note BRTH asked two simple questions of you at the end of his post you referenced. Both are can be answered with simply Yes or No answers. If you can any chance you could answer those two questions then let the guys reply with answers to those same questions then we can finally move on?

Are you asking if the four representatives of the requisitioners were or are shareholders?

And to make things simple for you are you asking if those same people have since acquired more shares?

The resolution was raised in accordance with the rules by ONE shareholder. To do that required the backing of a minimum of 99 other shareholders.

That the resolution has since been pursued by our own Gang of Four is a red herring. They do not need to be shareholders in their own right.

CANAMALAR brought the other three on board for their own individual talents. As long as the original 100 backers were shareholders at the time,KILL ULTRA is onto plums in spreading his personal-some of it VERY personal-agenda.

  20. Brogan Rogan Trevino and Hogan on

    Afternoon.

I read that big Ronaldhino has agreed to come out of retirement, will sign for Chapecoense and play for nothing!

Not sure how fit the big fella is but it is a great gesture. He was some player in his prime.

He was in a Barca team that lost to us right enough, just like Messi, Iniesta, Xavi and a few others.

  21. BIG PEAT OF ISLAY

I was watching the 30 odd minutes highlights posted on here yesterday and my wife asked who is that second commentator?

He can’t bring himself to say one positive thing about Celtic she said.

As is often the case their hurt is palpable i replied.

I’m no fekkin telling ye !

    Only joking mate.

The question was, ” How many International Caps collectively did the Lisbon Lions win for Scotland” ?

This subject was covered on here a few weeks ago, although it had nothing to do with my being involved in the quiz.

The answer is just another part if the SFA shame !

Please remove my post @ 11:06AM this morning.

You see a thought BRT&H was a broad, turns out he isn’t, so I requested the brown shirts to remove the post, and they did that at my behest,.

    Are you a broad?

  24. Brogan Rogan Trevino and Hogan on

    BOBBY MURDOCH’S CURLED-UP WINKLEPICKERS on 4th December 2016 2:11 pm

That is a very good point well made. To advance the cause of Res 12 at any meeting etc you did not need to be a shareholder and the resolution itself was formally backed and supported by an appropriate number of shareholders. Celtic PLC themselves checked this having first thrown Morrissey out when he handed in the papers for the resolution.

However, if memory serves me correctly, at one meeting with the company secretary he asked if we were all shareholders and I believe that everyone present confirmed that they were.

I still have no idea what this is all about.

  25. Brogan Rogan Trevino and Hogan on

I am only a broad when I go my holidays.

That doesn’t mean I dress up in any way, it just means I have gone to foreign climes!

TD – have we met by any chance? Was it not you who came to meet me in Torrance a few years back to take some Willie Wallace books and fliers out to Vegas?

I could be wrong but the chap was certainly called Donnelly.
