Mr Ogilvie, you’re going to need a bigger shredder

907

Lots of details became available yesterday but if you can drag yourself away from the most gratuitous, concentrate on the dates.

12 December 2012.

One week before the IPO.  Material information disclosed to the nomad?

21 June 2012.

Four weeks after Mr Whyte was banned from participating in Scottish football, enabling Newco to exist.

11 months before one of Mr Whyte’s collaborators is proposed as a director of Newco.

What the spivs have done to that club, assisted by the most stupid people to own keyboards and journos on-the-make, is breath-taking.  How did the idiots manage to take over?  There is a lesson for humanity here.

On a related subject:

“Craig Whyte’s involvement would be hidden from the SFA and SPL”.

Mr Ogilvie, you’re going to need a bigger shredder.

You and your organisation are being openly mocked.  What was patently obvious to anyone remotely interested in following events to their logical conclusion a year ago is now evident to all.

I have no interest in you resigning now.  All the damage which could have been done to our game due to a lack of penetrative oversight, which is your job, has been done.  Your persistence is merely confirmation that the levels of corporate governance at the SFA remain unchanged.

Fans from SPL and SFL clubs found rock among the sand to build foundations on last year.  There remains a love of our game, and our clubs, among the detritus, but we have unquestionably been failed by the custodians of our game at Hampden Park, who I am convinced, will again bury their heads in the sand.

There is no going back, no quick fix, no one can put this right.  Nothing will ever be the same again.  Accept this and move on.

  3. So the spectre of liquidation now hangs over Tynecastle.

It looks like Ogilvie has lost the the Midas touch. Or more likely the great administrator never had it in the first place.

With his track record in Paisley Road and now Gorgie Road he should be in line for a cart and the funeral franchise in both streets.

Was having a wee recce around FF there. All I can see though is lots of heads buried in sand. Dave King is the great white hope. No one knows how much money secco now have. The “educated” guess is 10 million+. Hmmm. More sand needed perhaps.

BT, gonna ring PF over the weekend with a view to a wee day out at Hamilton nags. I’ll take it as given that Oldtim will be going. Would be good if you could make it along. Will get a date agreed and catch up then.

Horses. I thought I knew a wee bit about them but my bank balance suggests I don’t know enough. A friend of mine must also think I need more education on the sport of kings. When I said I was going to check out a horse on sat morning, his words of wisdom were ” just make sure there’s a leg in each corner”.

Ah…hope your back to your best soon BT. I’m taking out a season ticket for the hoops again this season even though I’ll only make a few games. I’m sure it won’t go to waste though. I’d think about taking two if someone inside CP would just buy a couple of decent defenders! Every fffffn season I’m screaming for quality defenders. Fed up seeing mediocre teams knock 2 and 3 past us. Mind you, the 67 buoys had an answer to that problem. Just score 4 or 5.

A wee section of a long story from the Herald today

“Without that strong, purposeful character, Rangers can not address the problems that are most crucial to the existence of the club. One of the key issues dividing the board is the pace of cuts that have to be undertaken. The true blue corner will want to protect as many of the staff as possible and to help those they know at the club. However, the reality is that the outgoings are unsustainable and may be ruinous if season ticket money falters.”

Murray was last night clinging on to his post as chairman with Philip Cartmell, a non-executive director, also believed to be in peril. It is believed that an extraordinary general meeting may not be required to effect the removal of Murray, whose situation is hazardous despite support from city investors. His fate was described by one source as unavoidable. “He has to go. Too many see him as a liability,” he said. The upheaval at Ibrox was described last night by a city source, sympathetic towards Murray, as “mud wrestling” and “everyone is going to be covered in it”.

    Yep..that’s a given BT

The CL qualifiers take on massive significance again this year. A season without European football ? Sincerely hope not. Hope the powers that be move quickly and get our new recruits, well, recruited and settled ASAP. I have a feeling we will see front men and midfielders brought in.

Defenders? We dodged a bullet last year with Roger Johnson. He’ll be punted from Wolves and as much as I want a new defender or two….hopefully we won’t be tempted.

  19. Twisty

We lenny has not hidde his desire for a no nonsense big centre back.

As we jbow tge style we okay exposes our defense to the quick counter attack so as you said we just need to score more goals and that will stop them all including the mibs six of whom we have to defeat as well as the hibees next Sunday

We start in the second, but that means playing the second, third and play-off, so three qualifying rounds in total, one more than this long season that’s about to finish.
