Now I’m floundering!
I live in London………. special fish suppers touch deep into my psyche. My Dad would come back from a game- it was always raining- and go and get special fish suppers. Mum would heat the oven and prepare a table with white bread and butter and tea. The talk would be Celtic , nothing else.
My life is so different now but I hold these images close.
By the way. After the 7-1 game our family enjoyed fish and chips from the chippy next to the George picture house on Crown Street, Gorbals. They were not special suppers but to me that meal on 19 October 1957 will remain very special till the day I die.
