Nir Biton, preparations for the ArenA

1993

There will have been tired limbs at Lennonxtown when the players resumed full training yesterday after their exertions on Tuesday night but they will still be desperate to take to the field at Firhill on Sunday.  This game is a necessary preparation ahead of the Amsterdam AreanA in 12 days.

We have an advantage for Amsterdam…..

Ajax are nip and tuck with a handful of clubs near the top of the Dutch league.  They have three home games in the league and cup before facing Celtic and the pressure is on to win each of them.  Ajax don’t have the ability to allow players extended recuperation time to ensure they are in pristine condition for Champions League duty, Celtic do.

I would rest everyone we don’t have good cover for.  This is also a game for Nir Biton to start.  The player needs to get back in the saddle as quickly as possible after Tuesday, he is also unlikely to see Champions League group stage action again this season.

After his international and other duties, Charlie Mulgrew would benefit from a rest.  We don’t have sufficient cover for James Forrest and Beram Kayal, so send them away for the weekend.

Use every advantage possible.

“I believe the lying king has in the past invested in them . It may be laptop loyal guff , but have read it on celtic forums a few times . He is the type they attract . Cant understand mccolls involvement . Just my opinion but i believe there are money men lurking in the shadows waiting to appear , and presently keeping them afloat .”

King did invest money in the former club – and I seem to recall he was very bitter at the way Davie Murray squandered it.

I have no doubt he is interested in getting involved with Sevco. But the fact that he has joined forces with serial-nearly-man Paul Murray and that he is doing all his talking in the media, makes me think he is not as serious about ‘major investment’ as the media would like people to believe.

All he has to do is buy out the current shareholders instead of shouting-the-odds in the media. King took a big financial hit when he admitted his guilt in South Africa and this may explain why he is not simply buying those shares.

Jim McColl has already stated he is not going to make significant investment in Sevco. No doubt he is a wealthy man, but he is not a billionaire or a sugar daddy.

  3. A light insanity, I hope next week is better.

They do, all talk p..h, it’s true.

Except me, Billy Bhoy 05, you were talking about me weren’t you?:-)

Good Evening fholks, a lovely evening out with Mrs Doc, twins staying at my sisters, so peace in the household in the morning, and an extra hour in bed.

Then watching Celtic triumph(hopefully), a good day.

CRC, if lurking, email not received!

  4. Billybhoy, I don’t profess to know the answer as to why most posts are from the same pool of people.

That Daily Mail article is hilarious in a strange way. Stupid stupid men.

23:03 on 26 October, 2013!!Bada Bing!!——That make no sense. If Sammy signs what Sammy wants then we just have to wait and see?? That;s hardly Pete’s fault

Still trying to make sense of that…..

My point is if we don’t get Samaras signed up ,he could be available on a Bosman after the biggest tournament of them all next summer. That is down to what PL offers him.HH

  6. !!Bada Bing!!

You seem to be missing the fact that Pete could be offering a million quid a week and Sammy still turns it down, you know Sammy the player wants to move on

  7. Apols, Nan, not saying any of this to deflect from your amazing work.

This is a wee laugh for paraonoid Tims :))

I suggest those who have an interest refer to the following:

(cntrl and f, then type “lucifer” to find a few references)

    Read and digest at will.

Helena Blavatske wrote the the book that Hitler used as a guide on the occult (it was where he took the swastika from) Alistair Crowley ( Grand Master Dick of the Masons) adored it and it is still being used today, They have offices everywhere.

    My point?

That no matter how much the obvious is thrust in your face, some of you will still abuse the priest and attack the law enforcer.

All of the above is true and to the best of my knowledge.

I have nothing to gain from sharing it, but rather, a lot to lose.

  11. A light insanity, obviously I should not be taken too seriously regarding that issue!

A wee hello to a poster called Greenswell. His posts are always enjoyable due to their calm nature.

  13. Would be interesting to see the domestic violence stats when we beat the huns.

Then compare them with the stats when they won…I predict a spike with the former.

    Sydney Tim

The club is delivering its operating plan better than any other club in Europe given its limitations.

The strategic direction set by the board and supported by its major shareholders is being delivered hence CEO is rewarded accordingly.

We are not a basket case like our rivals or leveraged like most other top clubs. We are in very good shape on the course set by BQ in his tenure as chairman.

PL has delivered this and we are enjoying huge success as a result of this.

In this time I have seen many more great top quality European teams beaten by Celtic than in my previous 35 years as a Celtic fan. An incredible fact given the imbalance in the playing field and that we have played by the rules.

We are in great shape just now. Of course there are a few areas for improvement we could make but it is such a shame that some Celtic folk like yourself can only focus on the negatives.

I am not sure if you are jealous or have some personal issue with PL but it must be horrible for you to see this incredible success we and our custodians are enjoying just now.

I understand but don’t share your pain.

    ——

    Burnley78,

Fergus was up front about the financials, he put £5M in and would walk away with £20M after 5 years.

It worked, he walked away rich with our respect.

How is Dermot Desmond getting his investment back, and how does it tie in with time invested? Do you know this?

  15. the_huddle-i think he wants to stay but Sami and his agent aren’t fools. If he wants to play in a better league, the guy owes us nothing IMO

  16. !!Bada Bing!!

Of course, I don’t grudge any player leaving us that’s life, just don’t like posters suggesting Celtic don’t want them to stay
