Nothing will change in Scotland

278

When the texts began to fly in about the penalty at Ibrox last night I had no appetite to watch the incident.  I am 54 years old and have seen it all before.  These things do not enrage me the way they once did, it only serves as a reminder of our position in this land.  Get angry, if that’s your thing, but do not kid yourself, nothing will change until we escape the Shoddy Sanctum of Scotland.  Still, we are a well run professional operation and our peers are clowns, so we enjoy frequent upsides.

Celtic were sensational at Easter Road.  The speed the ball was passed between our front four made them unliveable.  It was reminiscent of the destruction of Dundee and the League Cup game against Hearts earlier this season.

Tom Rogic’s frame is not that of a classic dribbler, but he is so fleet of foot and mind that he slipped through defenders as though they were statues.  He found willing runners in Kyogo, Mikey Johnston and Jota.  All Hibs could do is kick and stamp, to the injury of Tom, Kyogo and Callum McGregor.  Hopefully all three are fit for Saturday.  A more protective referee would have helped, by I refer you to the earlier Shoddy Sanctum.

For all the delightful passing, Hibs scored and broke through twice more.  Joe Hart was there to keep the game comfortable; such a change from last season’s debacles.

Some context: we started October six points adrift, without an away in the league win since February and with visits to Aberdeen, Motherwell and Hibs pending.  Despite everything, we have closed that gap to two points.  You really must believe us, we’re going to win the league!

Scott Brown, ha!  How many times has he owned Ibrox?  Still doing it, the only surprise was he didn’t have shades on when he headed that goal.

Totally correct yet some on here want us to “move on”…..pathetic

  2. Higgins treated the Celtic support as vermin with targeted dawn raids. Prediction the clubs and major Celts internet sites will ostracise him. CQN may be an exception due to their blind loyalty but this guy has no chance as he is hated by the Celtic support. It shows how out of touch Bankier is —- when does this little runt disappear. Hopefully Desmond can find a Celtic man for the job and someone who can unite the club.

Brian Wilson — a joke figure. Too many liquid lunches —— well past his sell by date. Needs to go quietly and he can write the history of Rangers II.

  3. Brian Wison writes quite correctly of the plight of Rangers FC. The Rangers FC with which Walter Smith was historically associated.

“as well as having been punished with demotion, in 2012 after applying for *liquidation”

*this should read administration and must be a ‘typo’, but it does not change the intended meaning.

    DEMOTION:

The act or process of reducing to a lower grade, rank, class, or POSITION, or the RESULT of such a reduction:

Rangers FC were punished by the loss of ten points by going into administration – the club suffered demotion in their league POSITION as a RESULT – Celtic won the league, the first of 9iar.

Charles Green’s Sevco could not be demoted as it was a new club and had never held a position within Scottish football. It was given temporary SFA membership and started its life as Sevco Scotland in a match against Brechin City.

Walter Smith was never the manager of Sevco.

Quite frankly the usual suspects will make mischief and attack Brian Wilson on any matter because of his political beliefs & his seat on the board – this the latest in a long line of cheap-shots, and is an irrelevance.

I take your point about fresh thinking in the boardroom being something that needs to be considered in general but on this particular issue I think we’re better served by people who understand and have experience of the SFA and the SPL.

We’re not changing anything without them listening. I don’t see how they change anything at all in our favour, why would they?

  11. In advance of any VAR introduction, Scotland needs to empty huns from Hampden.

    Rot and branch needs lopped.

I strongly disagree with your assessment that VAR wouldn’t make a difference because VAR operators would still be biased towards Rangers-2012.

One of the primary rules of VAR is that the reruns observed by the VAR official(s) must be broadcast. In other words, no secret viewing. If the red & blue lines show a player in an onside or offside position, then that can’t be changed.

Obviously where it is a penalty or red card check, VAR affords the referee a chance to review an incident in slow motion. It would be extremely difficult for a referee or VAR official to go against the obvious.

It’s been like that since the days of Cyril Horne.

I suppose that not being Scottish they haven’t been subjected to the same social conditioning as the natives so don’t have the same intuitive deference to Der Hun.

Re Beaton ,we are still waiting for the Club to publish the ‘transparent report ‘ of his performance in the game at Poundland, where he refused to red card Fat Charlie on 3 occasions, and celebrated with selfies that night in notorious hun hole The Crown Bar,Bellshill way…..yet again we had an open goal to nail a cheat and didn’t have the cojones to see it through.

can’t stand them. I’m sure there are many others. There are lots of football

clubs in Scotland with board members on SFA comittees don’t forget

  16. The day after we decrease the league deficit, and we see of some of the worst cheating for years, seem to be some strong repetition to change the narrative.

How can we get them to stop talking about the cheating?

Aye just put in a few plants to moan about the board, that’ll switch it.

For balance have any one of those quoting about the article considered an editer of a Scottish rag will have power over wording. Columns from Chris Sutton, John Hartson will also not have liquidation and restarting line. It will say the demotion lie.

I see one of our esteemed board members perpetuating the myth that Rangers were ” punished and demoted”

Perhaps sums up the views of the rest of them as well…….

    —————

Celtic backer Dermot Desmond misses rivalry with Rangers

“Rangers is a great football club, it has a great history and it’s unfortunate that they have been relegated,” said the Irish businessman.

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/19823518

As long as we have custodians like these we will never operate anywhere near our potential.

We can moan all we like about refereeing decisions, but if we were properly run they would only make a fraction of the difference they do.

Why even mention events of 2012 in relation to Walter Smith, who left in 2011? Hmmm………

  18. A position whereby we have only ever been tolerated, never fully welcomed in Scottish society. We will be squeezed & marginalised if, and when, the time is right and the politics allow. Unbelievably many of our number aid and abet those who will eventually look to neuter our minority and have made no secret of their view for over eighty years.

    Tom

    I hear what you say.

I remain suspicious in that there is still scope for interpretation by the VAR official.

I watch a lot of NFL (the padded American eggchasing as opposed to the former manager).

Video evidence is extensively used in that game. For a decision to be overturned by VAR, there needs to be ‘clear evidence’ that the original ‘call on the field’ was wrong.

As an example, what Scottish VAR official would overturn the Beaton call from last night?

Where is the “clear and obvious” footage to say the decision was wrong? If none exists, the penalty award would stand by default.

  21. BB- he looked the ideal guy to modernise the Club ,and empty the freeloaders, a mystery, but Lawwell couldn’t go from megolomaniac (sp),to a bystander overnight as far as I’m concerned.

Celtic’s tory types like to pretend that all is fair in love and war, and the ” they can’t chalk them all off ” © JS mantra will prevail.

If Celtic are to stay in contention and its going to be close this season, they have to call out games, at Ibrokes that last 98 minutes for starters. I think there is validity in that Dominic (our noisy neighbours) McKay was ready to rock the boat.

  24. The current SFA secretary Ian Maxwell and his main board were appointed after moves by Peter Lawwell to modernise the Board. Unfortuately, while they appeared to be a improvement on Reagan and co, what we got was more of the same with a strong reek of Freemasonary,

If Celtic don’t have a working class link to supporters like we had all the way up to the McCann takeover in 1994, then a wedge is evident.

The wedge shortened slightly when Wim Jansen became manager in 1997, and it soon became apparent that, Wim Jansen was working in spite of the board, not with the board, so he was in effect an outsider, just like all of the fans who spent thousands of £’s in over subscribing to various share flotations to build 75% of Parkhead, and are to this day as far away, if not further away from controlling positions at the club, as they were when the Kelly’s & White’s were in control.

Wim wasn’t viewed as part of “the Celtic establishment” as McCann didn’t like a manager who couldn’t be cowed.

    Macari? Jansen?

So both of these managers were either sacked, like Macari was, or pushed to the door, then they jump, like Jansen did, denying the vindictive, insecure, and thoroughly sleekit, McCann, the pleasure of sacking Wim.

In 1994, Macari played Walter’s hun team at Ibrox without any Celtic fans inside the stadium.

Talk about against the odds (the real Celtic way) Macari played Walter’s 6 in a row Champions at their own game.

Macari’s team parked the bus and played the long ball, and almost escaped from Ibrox with another unlikely victory, but a plucky hun deflected goal in the final minutes denied Macari’s team a victory of folklore proportions.

    No fans.

One sellable player on the books, John Collins.

McStay was done by this time remember, after carrying the utterly useless Peter Grant on his back since MacLeod left in 1987, and the rest of the players gave Macari their best on the day, and we led through a brilliant John Collins free kick before half time, and a late deflected hun equaliser robbed Macari’s team of victory.

Macari, like Jansen, had a mind of his own, and that that represented a threat to McCann should’ve led to

    Sack-The-Board-2.

Maybe not, but putting McCann’s insecure ego issues as being more important than the playing side, is a reminder of what the Kelly’s & White’s warned us of what would happen to Celtic if the “wrong sorts” ever got control of Celtic ?!?!

But Thatcher’s “trickery” on the back of the Hillsborough disaster, making it law to seat all football grounds.

This brought to an end any rebellious creating environment’s like, The Jungle, The Kop, The Stretford End, etc, etc, and the effect on society at large has been profound.

Fans believed the SMSM portrayal of Macari, this suited McCann, who went on to sack Luigi Macari.

Macari demonstrated that he could set out a team with “one” star player in it, and avoid being mugged by Walter’s hun team, against impossible odds, at Ibrox with Celtic fans banned.

But but but but, Macari wasn’t just opposed by the insecure McCann, or the 100% anti Celtic SMSM.

Macari was being stabbed in the back by half of his team who didn’t like being managed, or getting their noses put of of joint.

Players like McStay, Grant, Boyd, Bonner, and Nicholas, and no doubt many others, downed tools to get their old pal in as manager, Tommy Burns RIP.

These players would’ve been removed by Macari had he stayed on as manager.

All of these players tried to pull a stunt on Macari by going into Macari’s office one at a time, and demanding wage rises.

Macari called into question their justification for such demands when he outed them, not by individual names, but as “a group of our most experienced players” demanding pay rises, their names also appeared in Gerry McNee’s column, the only journalist who fed us dots to join together whilst 99.9% of SMSM were cemented in front of David Murray’s table looking for crumbs.

Macari was interviewed by Scotsport’s Paul Cooney, after a defeat away to Killie, Tommy Burns team, eye !!!

Macari told Cooney,”I can’t believe what I’ve been hearing at Parkhead this week, a group of our most experienced players, asking for pay rises? These are the same players who haven’t won a trophy for Celtic fans, in 5 years?”

Macari was trying to tell fans that, certain Celtic players weren’t playing for Celtic fans, these players were playing for themselves!

Of course the SMSM were not too keen on a Celtic manager, who would stand up for the fans as a opposed to feathering the nests of a clique of Celtic players, because they were his pals.

Such honesty from a Celtic manager, to Celtic fans, was not a very good idea in the minds of SMSM.

But, hostile SMSM aside, these Celtic players got their wish.

These players cheated the Celtic fans, to get Macari sacked, and to pave the way for their pal, Tommy Burns RIP, to become Celtic’s new manager, and these cheating players were given the rises that Macari refused to give them, and these cheating players went on and “FAILED ” Celtic fans for another 3 seasons, and Celtic fans got what they deserved for falling for the SMSM’s smear campaign vs Macari.

If the SMSM smear anyone at Celtic, its because SMSM fear that person.

Can you imagine what the SMSM would be like if, Jeremy Corbyn, or George Galloway, was on the Celtic board, as opposed to, Brian Wilson?

What would Macari’s time at Celtic have looked like if all of these players weren’t in the Celtic dressing room, cheating Celtic fans, to get Macari the sack?

Heroes and legends my arse !!!

Would Macari have prevented Walter’s hun team reaching 9 in a row?

But these questions weren’t asked as the Scottish establishment of, SPFL, SFA, Ibrox, CelticPLC, SMSM, OO, ScotsGov, etc, etc, got what they all desired.

Old Firm games returned, not a single Ibrox trophy stripped, not a single Ibrox coin paid to HMRC, and not a single question from any “so called” respected Celtic fans group, none, zilch, nada, zero !!!

Old Firm games were returned, with 2012 ticket prices being applied to tickets in 2016 for these hate fest’s !!!

Celtic fans would’ve paid a £1000 for a hate fest ticket, such was their euphoria at the arrival of, Brendan Rodgers as 13k munched into their bowls of jelly and ice cream, to an opened up Parkhead to celebrate Brendan’s arrival. And why shouldn’t they?

How could someone who didn’t fall to their knees and adore, Fergus McCann, Peter Grant, Paul McStay, Tom Boyd, Charlie Nicholas, Pat Bonner, and the PLC’s recruitment of Brendan Rodgers,

“How could he see something that we couldn’t?” “How could he know something that we didn’t?”

They asked, sharpening their hooves furiously !!!

“What was his agenda?” “Would anything make him happy?” They even vented their steam from Cork’s once rebellious waters.

“Let’s put a list up” a clique master said in his sentinel voice,

“To vote on who we’d like to see removed from the blog!” “Get rid of the hun KevJungle from CQN’s sacred green place.” said a bhoy waving 1 hankie.

    And so many more.

I don’t know KevJungle personally, but by feck he came away with some suggestions that made you think you were enslaved to some kind of matrix, were nobody could see any of these ridiculous things that he was seeing, but I wasn’t even on the blog at the time, just reading and KevJ was constantly saying,

“You’ve all sold your souls for voting for a board of huns, who’ve tricked us all into buying these hun game tickets for £49.”

I couldn’t make out what he was on about, every bloody day ffs !!!

Big McGhee wont get mugged like Tony Mowbray, get new standing room built like German fitba or rip all the seats out of North Stand Lower and bring back the pish flowing Jungle (and the PLC built standing room jeez PLC must read KevJungle !?!?) £49 same club ticket trap, half empty park during RD, Brendan will be forced out when £49 same club tiicket games are nailed down to fixture list, the PLC will dillydally and miss John McGinn then yeez will all be told that Ryan Christie will be better, the PLC will put a puppet in the dugout to throw the 10 under a bus, and many many many others.

    Feckin ridiculous, right?

    Wrong !!!

The eedjit had been on the fecken money every step of the way ffs !!!

The PLC even built standing room whilst KevJ was the only eedjit? banging that drum every bloddy day ffs !!!

I agree 100% with KevJ that Walter’s hun team wouldn’t have won 9 in a row if insecure, sleekit, wee Fergus McCann hadn’t sacked Luigi Macari, allowing Macri to sack the afore mentioned frauds in the dressing room and in the process blowing 3 years of Celtic’s rebuild in 1994.

I believe him ffs I must be turning into bloody eedjit as well !!!
