Oops, we forgot about Sevco 5088

930

We are all familiar with brinksmanship; adopting what seems like an uncompromising position despite acute potential consequences.  Correspondence recently released around the goings-on at Rangers International and associated companies suggests at least two combative parties have been edging towards the brink since last year.  Now it is clear they are both well over the brink, it’s too late for either to back down.

The conclusion of Pinsent Masons’ report was released to the stock market this morning and found “no evidence that Craig Whyte had any involvement with Sevco Scotland Limited (now called The Rangers Football Club Limited), the company which ultimately acquired the business and assets of The Rangers Football Club P.L.C. from its administrators; nor which would suggest that Craig Whyte invested in The Rangers Football Club Limited or Rangers International Football Club plc”.

All of which, sharp-eyed observers will note, is exactly what Mr Whyte is so animated about.

Let me run through that list of companies which Mr Whyte was not involved with again:

Sevco Scotland Ltd: check
AKA The Rangers Football Club Ltd: check
Rangers International Football Club PLC: check
Sevco 5088 Ltd: wait a minute, they missed out Sevco 5088 Ltd!!

This is where the project resembles trying to push water uphill:

Rangers International plc claim Sevco 5088 Ltd is a subsidiary of theirs.

Mr Whyte claims to be a director and beneficiary of Sevco 5088 Ltd.

Pinsent Masons’ report’s published conclusion fails to comment on Mr Whyte’s status in connection with Rangers International’s claimed subsidiary company, Sevco 5088 Ltd.

The SFA prohibited the new associate member club from having any connection with Mr Whyte.  Last week the SFA chief executive acknowledged the seriousness of the club potentially breaking the conditions of membership, but said the Association would await the outcome of the Pinsent Masons’ report.  The published conclusions of which does not address the question.

Rangers International have just dared the SFA to act.  They are familiar with the tactics of brinksmanship, however….

Just in case you are new to this subject…..

Hell will freeze over before any football association with Campbell Ogilvie as president will act on this matter.  “Heavily conflicted” Campbell will ensure his board take no action.

I was delighted to read one man who knew exactly what he was dealing with when he took on the SFA.  Echoing the comments made here yesterday, Fergus McCann said:

“Filling Celtic Park against Barcelona or Spartak or Rangers is the easy part.

“The part that really counts is consistent support at every game at Celtic Park and that will deliver the top-level matches.

“My time at the Croy CSC reminds me of the importance of dedicated support.

“The members knew that their role was vital, especially in the hard times.”

The future of our club is very much in our own hands and these are important times to fill out Celtic Park.

Waterstones, Stirling, 5-7pm TODAY!

I’ll be at Waterstones, Stirling, with Willie Wallace from 5pm until 7pm this evening.  Willie will be available for photographs and signing copies of his autobiography, Heart of a Lion.  If you’re from the area, call in, I’ll see you there.

Many thanks to all who bought tickets for the Celtic top signed by the Seville squad, we sold out last night.  Thanks also to those who are bidding on the fabulous signed Messi top, you still have a few days left to get involved.  The spirit of Walfrid is alive and well 125 years on.

That’s why the SFA have to make sure they ask the proper questions. Regan said they asked “very specific” questions and expected “very specific” answers. Can’t say I’m holding my breath!

The glorious permutations are endless, and hilarious……one thing is for sure, though, there will be a black hole when the institutional investors ‘up sticks and run’…….hahahaha

I suppose it all depends on what you believe.

If like some, me included, that there has been a plan from the outset, and the plan was to dump hundreds of millions of debt, emerge debt free, which has been done, with a few pitfalls along the way, both Chuck and our hero have had differing roles to play.

I think everything was going along swimmingly, until a few spivs thought they could scam the other spivs…..

    Greed is a terrible thing.

Unfortunatly for our hero, he is the one who is going to get all the blame, when the real villan is sitting back enjoying the charade, he still has complete control of the media, and has the respect of the cabal presently, though, that may well change, all depends on who is going to sing first.

One thing for sure, if our hero is looking at a lie down, he won’t go without telling the world a few home truths.

Will he get his pay off, will he meet with an unfortunate accident, who knows, but for sure they don’t want him singing.

    Time will tell.

On a personal note , I’d like to share a piece of fantastic personal news . Elder son , R, has just secured his first full time job , working for a restaurant chain who share most of the initials with tgfitw . Like a lot of father/sons we don’t always see eye to eye but im very proud that he’s standing on his own 2 feet. He’s had a tough couple of years but has been working hard at his studies this last year and mum and dad are well chuffed for him .

Well done R and good luck

  9. Guys , this Sevco ownership thing is a done deal.

IMO we have to move on.

Personally, I am sick of evidence being released and then disregarded by the SFA . They have got away with every despicable act of corruption possible .

I am at the stage where I think we should forget that scum, let them ferment in their own pit and concentrate our attention on getting the hell out of Scotland.

We will never be allowed to win.

THAT’s EXACTLY WHAT THEY WANT US TO DO………..NOT GOING TO HAPPEN

  15. While it is obvious that the SFA will do little or nothing to let them continue to “exist”, am I not right in thinking that there are legal moves afoot which they cannot interfere with and that might well put the final nails in their coffin?

Sevco will get all the help they need to survive from the SFA. In the end they will do themselves in again. The sums don’t add up and they don’t have a bank now to bail them out. They will have to live within their means next time around. (Average weekly wage = £1k tops)

  20. 67 Heaven

Do u honestly think that them bams will ever be held to account?

Beginning to think that they will get way with everything, thoroughly hacked off and not for the first time.

Apologies for the negativity , hopefully be back to normal Hun baiting tomorrow!!!

  21. Burghbhoy

IMO, the bottom line is that the SFA are facilitating corperate fraud, that is a very serious offence.

But from where I am sitting, it looks like nobody has complained, if the had, the polis would be all over them.

How far do we and the other clubs need to be humiliated and how much of our money needs to be stolen before action is taken, a long ways it seems.

    HT

You asked earlier what Celtic can do…….

Resign would be my answer, by doing or saying nothing, we are as bad as them.

No way could uefa, or fifa deny us an in to any other law abiding association, no way.

Call their bluff, they can’t afford to lose us, and we all know it.

    HH

  22. TET

Could not agree more , resignation the only option drastic enough to bring this to a conclusion

  23. Lot of despondency on here about Sevco, and I can understand that.

The leaks from Charlotte Fakes alone in the last few weeks are breath-taking in their scope and implication. Yet the tree remains unshaken. The MSM ignore it, the SFA ignore it, and nothing changes.

There is a simple reason why this is the case.

I spoke to a Hun in my work today. We haven’t really talked about his club’s collapse (save one or to friendly-ish jokes). But today he was vehement. They are the same club. There is no link with Whyte. Green bought the history. Walter is a good man. The SFA are bigotted against us.

    Insanity.

But it made me realise they WANT to believe – and this desire is an incredibly powerful force. The whole history of the old RFC was shrouded in a veil. They all knew what the club was – but they couldn’t admit it in polite society (well, not since the 1970s anyway). They could never confront their own dark heart.

The result is a support who are blind. And worse than that they are willfully blind. They have spent decades lapping up good news stories about Rangers because that means they can put off the terrible day when they actually have to compare the culture and values of their club to that of, say, Barcelona. Manchester United. Liverpool. Accrington Stanley.

    Celtic.

Why do you think it took them till 1989 to knowingly, willingly, deliberately sign a Catholic?Save for a few Super Prods, none of them can truly look at Rangers and be proud. They know it was flawed, ugly, rotten…

But they don’t want to be told, far less be told by a bunch of uppity Tims with laptops. And so they exist as the least well-educated and fundamentally un-self-aware support in world football. They are the definition of the “easy mark”. They will believe anything, buy any old story, as long as it allows them to avoid confronting the truth.

That’s why Walter is chairman now. Watch them rush eagerly and unthinkingly to the warm embrace of the Cardigan…

So that’s why nothing appears to change – because the fans of “Rangers” don’t want it to, and the MSM will dance to the tune of that significant demographic.

However, do not despair. As Paul Simon once said: “You can’t outrun the history train.”

Like the rest of us, you are simply becoming frustrated with the obvious corruption, but hang on in there…….OUR DAY IS ABOUT TO COME, TWICE……

  26. Paul67 et al

So. Lewis and Carroll have written another chapter, a chapter so “confidential and legally privileged” that even the announcement of said chapter, “does not….waive” said privilege and confidentiality. Or, in other words, we would have published it in full, but we know that our report would be opened up to ridicule, to challenge, and to being disproved. Confidential and legally privileged sounds so much better.

McGeady told Russian media that very likely he will be leaving Spartak Moscow this transfer window. Speculations about Everton and Sunderland interested in McGeady.

Their followers will never concede that they are a newco even when Hell freezes over. They will always call themselves the same the Club. However, the reality is as you and many thousands they are the oldco is dead, died 2012…FACT. The only ones who do not accept this fact are their followers and the corrupt so called organisation that is the SFA who continue to allow them to peddle themselves as the same Club.

It is all about perceptions simple as. You, me or anybody else will never convince them their Club is no more…unless we get to a Third Lanark stage. To the World looking in they are the same Club. However, I repeat they are not, a check of Companies House tells you that, plain and simple.

    Keep the Faith!
