There’s lots of understandable media interest in the anticipated parting of the ways of ‘Greatest (only) Ever Rangers Manager’ Ally McCoist and newco. McCoist, as ever, has let it be known that he’s looking for a £400k golden handshake, which will almost certainly have the club offer more of its commercial assets to Mike Ashley if it is to be funded.
I hope he gets everything he asks for, bleed them dry, Ally, even if they need to sell more of their IP.
Irrespective of the final settlement, the most important outcome of the termination meetings is whether or not McCoist agrees to a silence clause in return for his cash. More than anything else, this club needs some straight talking from trusted sources who know where the bodies are buried.
The cash will be tempting for Ally, but his open and frank voice going forward is of vastly more value to his club, if not to him. The most debilitating scenario would be an Ashley-funded settlement with a silence clause. Go for it, Ally.
I know at Christmas your thoughts are never far from Billy No’well. Billy has broken new ground in the Bampot stakes and released a DVD with 17(!) of his videos. Full details here.
You can also order the CQN Annual and DVD bundle here. It’s a great offer, check it out – tons of great reading and photos on your favourite indulgence.
If you’re late on the blog, there was an earlier article today.

Sorry, haven’t read back …. What’s the big list for…?
Starry my friend. Yes indeed. Do we have a mutual friend? :)
Hi Dallas. I lived in drum more re but I used to go to the St Lawrence’s teenage disco. Fab memories……..
PSV 4 Feyenoord 3 just finished…best game anywhere this season….EPL best league in the world….pffff!
Perhaps, just perhaps,
The Tonev case will be used, by all the member clubs, to help come to the conclusion that the SFA Rules & Articles of membership need to be overhauled ASAP.
AS for Tonev, I feel sorry for the bhoy if he was being used as a pawn in a bigger long-game plan by CFC re the absurdity of said rules. I like his dignified statement, and for 1 hope he stays cause he was starting to show some promise.

Aye, we went to quite a lot of games together in the 80’s the big man and me.
Just recently got back in touch on Facebook and the Vancouver Celtic Family, some funny stories there mate:))
If you ever have to try and explain the meaning of the word GULLIBLE, just use this example:
Interview – Craig Houston, founder of Rangers fans group Sons Of Struth.
“It would appear that Ally resigned purely on a stance of principle because he took his wage reduction on the basis that it would protect jobs and that doesn’t appear to be the case,” Houston said, pointing to recent redundancies.
“That’s been accepted by a lot of Rangers supporters.”

Delaney’s, it certainly was a bit more lively than Knightswood.
Boreland Drive, the road behind where we lived, was quite aptly named for the part of Knightswood where we stayed in.
Shortage of Celtic fans unfortunately where we stayed.
.
You wan’t some..? I’ll Give it Ya..;-)

I hope AT stays, suspect AV may tear up his contract, then join us permanently.
Love telling the uninitiated the ‘Berz-den’ is the hard end of town while ‘Drum-shapel’ is full of hoity toity softies…….like sipsini with his velvet loafers, green cords and mustard cummerbund.

He was and is a close friend. I have lost a bit of touch since he moved to Canada. I should probably resp ct Facebook a bit more. Before we moved I was down in London watching a couple of games with him in his local. His brother james and I are best pals.
I went to the games then too. Jungle gate 7. I wonder if we stood shoulder to shoulder at times mate :)
Tontine, ha ha. I very rarely ventured along Kinfauns Drive where St Sixtus , now St Clare’s, was.
St Laurence primary school was about a mile away from the church. St Sixtus was nearer to our house but wasn’t in the catchment area.
Half of Drumchapel has been torn down now, I hardly recognise it anytime I’m over there.
The orange hall is still there unfortunately, right across from where St Sixtus was.
Tontine I was a St sixties lad. My kids laugh the,s lies silly every time I tell them that was the school I went to!!!!!!
Jamesgang, haha.

I knew him from the Cul-de Sac, we went to the games from there quite a lot and that’s where that whole Starry Plough thing came from, it was us that got the long sleeve t-shirts, flags and badges made up. Our Starry Plough Posse around the clubs:))
Neganon, the St Sixtus uniform was far better than the blue St Laurence’s uniform.i
Dallas. Don’t tell anyone but I was a very naughty bhoy when it came to that orange hall. I remember preparing the streets with some, ahem’ messages, ahead of the Orange walks.
I still don’t really know how I have survived this long come to think of it……..
Gulp………
Starry I blame Kenny :)
I”ll start my own list
Overseasbhoy
Ok starry you gotta tell me your name now.
Dallas
You had a few Tims in Boreland. Alderman and Kirkton and Lincoln has many more till this day. Lincoln Flats are Green & White!
Has that big poser jamegang posted a link of his TV appearance yet…??
Dallas dude. I think I wore the unifor, in primary 1. But thereafter……well times were hard!
Bada Bing
I am behind Ronny, there is more than enough people who would wish him to fail but on a football front I am not too sure Ronny is interested or can afford to protect the back 4, I just won’t to keep winning and winning encourages good football whatever level you play
Neganon
Send me email and I’ll give you so details…
BTW
Auto correct could have caused a fight there….
exslaemuirbhoy-aye, rips ma knittng that yellow card routine, good game, nice to see van Bronckhorst sick on the Feyenoord bench
BT,
nah, jamesgang’s too busy with his agent trying to get that breakthrough Hollywood part to be botherin’ with the little stuff ;-))
H.H.
Neganon, well done that man.
I used to get a lift to our home games from my parish priest, Big Mick O’Connell.
We were coming along Kinfauns heading home after a game at Celtic Park when we got stuck at the Orange Hall with the tufty club playing and blocking the road. Fr O’Connell was friendly with some of the local polis. He saw a Sergeant he knew, The Sergeant came over and when he spoke to Father O’Connell, he walked in front of the car and got the band to move to let us through, the only car that did.
Still one of my favourite memories. The coupons of the tufty club band were a picture.
Good night all, sleep well.
gerryfaethebrig- maybe Bitton and Brown in front of back 4, with Johansen further forward.HH

Good to read you are getting back on your feet.
Good luck.
Can we get Milan tickets in Celtic shops if we have season card.
Dallas. We got up to all sorts of nonsense. None of it violent. I alsways liked to think of myself as a free thinker but I was just a wee daft bhoy. Just like I still am on this site.
I think I remember that priest. Some of em were good guys eh.
