Rangers, streetwalkers of football, face their deadline

778

There’s something undignified at the shenanigans at Ibrox right now.  Despite being under no pressure to pay the disputed tax demand, Rangers are tarting around their top player in a desperate attempt to raise money.

After the Plus Stock Exchange suspended dealing in their shares the club stated it would produce overdue accounts for season 2010-11 around the end of this month, which coincides with the end of the transfer window.  Any auditor needs to be in a position to state that the company has enough cash to be considered a going concern before he would be in a position to sign-off the accounts.  Rangers are now in a desperate bid for cash as their self-imposed (late) date to provide shareholders with statutory information has arrived.

Claims were made that a front-loaded war-chest was made available to Ex-Rangers manager, Ally McCoist (still too early?  Hmmmm) at the start of the season and it was subsequently suggested that a £9m bid was rejected for Nikica Jelavic, but now the same player is available for a fraction of that sum – available for cash, that is.

McCoist kept their season alive but as reality dawn and Neil Lennon’s Celtic turned up the heat, his challenge abated.

The trusty old media, for so long a crutch throughout Rangers rather unique history, are set to desert the White Star Line’s most famous vessel.  The day draws near.

Someone had it on here earlier. Uchebo and Salahi were two of them. Same Uchebo maybe that walked out on the Klavern over on the southside.

It was the same Nigerian Uchebo who was over at murray park, apparently he did not impress, Salihi on the other hand had a very impressive showing.

I have checked the net and it only seems to be fan forums and rumour websites reporting it! And they have ranged from administration, to the tax case being cleared and the remortgaging of future season ticket sales to keep the club afloat! Just find the variety of it odd!

I take your point about the level of links and the taxman being able to just re-open the case. But him being the preferred creditor, does it not mean all assets would go to him first and if any are left (I’m sure they’d wrangle it that there aren’t, although over-valuing Ibrox and Murray Park may ruin that) then they’d go to other creditors?

Wonder when the scottish govt wil be starting their inquiry into the publically funded body the sfa, on their administration over the duration of member clubs tax evasion and conditions of license.

Then there will be the HMRC investigation into the directors of guilty clubs for their part in the tax evasion policy, with recovery litigation the result.

This is just the begining of a load of hurt and humiliation for rapeepil, I for one will take great pleasure in their punishment.

Evening all,not posted for years but under a diff moniker.marakesh celt says the legacy of big jock still hurts, well said that man. the huns have got themselves into this mess trying to live up to records that celtic have set. 9ina row they spent millions trying to get to ten and when they didnt they sacked waldo cause he could not cut it in europe. Murray said he wanted amanager to take them to the next level i.e. european cup. failled misirably. all because what lisbon lions achieved they have killed themselves trying to emulate. as we all know ask any hun why 9iar was so important to them and they will tell you: COZ THE CELTIC DUN IT. Nothing to do with the glory of winning 9. they will shout about 54 and all that nonsence. ALL our titles are the real deal . not phony or a helping red hand needed.

  15. I wonder if there’s any substance to the EPL rumour, like:

PL: Hello EPL chairpeeps, have you been following the old RTC?

    **conference lines go quiet**

PL: I’ll take that as a yes. I understand you’ll soon be a few big clubs short of a TV deal. Fancy dealing with us now?

  16. Emilios immaculate barnet on

The european cup win really has stuck in tha t clubs craw since 67. How many big signings did they make in the 90s when we where on our erse ?trying to get there mucky paws on it, JIST COZ THEY DUN IT. They are paying avery heavy price JIST COZ THEY DUN IT.

  19. The additional police required for Ibrox/Murray Park are there to stop outraged fast food vendors goin’ pure mental by the way!, when the weightwatcher trundles up the road on his scooter for the last time. CW may have courted the wrath of the Sons of William by destroying their club but this will be as nothing to the outrage of the carpet burger touts who have come to know ‘..the Easter egg wi’ arms’ as the pension plan.
