    Jubilant bed wetter here. Huge thank you to Lenny and the team for a proper masterclass. Everyone was outstanding, with the possible exception of Jamesy who was quiet. Brown, Jullien, Boli, Elhamed, Bitton, Mikey and Eddy the standouts.

     

     

    That was so sweet today.

    1st half Indeed a poor 1st half from both teams For a while a poor huns team seemed to be slightly in charge of midfield helped by our lack of tackling ( Forrest is to be honest useless here, a 70 30 ball was lost by him ). Then a special pass from Johnson to Eduard made the difference

     

     

    2nd half changed when mr invisible went off (JF) and we went to a more solid midfield made the difference Became 11 v 11 and helped us stroll through 2nd half

     

    Even Perth Bhoys were saying Forrest is a waste of a position at ibrox again.

     

    Delighted Neil took him off that allowed the game to turn to us so much

    Forrest was playing on our right wing, Tavernier is their right back, so on opposite sides of the pitch. However, Johnson and Boli marshalled Tavernier pretty well. Regardless, it was great to watch today.

    Sydney Tim, my analysis, and I suggest most others, seems to be somewhat at odds with yours. I agree that Forrest had a , relatively, quiet game however that does not detract from the overall outstanding performance and result today. Bask in the outcome.

    Love the 0-2 scoreline better than anything.

     

     

    All the talk for weeks was of the poor Celtic defence.

     

     

    Radio Scotland commentators:

     

     

    “Celtic goalkeeper didn’t have to make a save the whole game.”

     

     

    “Jack should have been sent off.”

    Often I think the man of the match goes to sentimental choices and not the actual best player.

     

    Today my man of the match was far from the most skillful player on the park or the player whose talents came to the fore.

     

    Bitton I thought showed great skill and composure; Julian was imperious guarding Forester; Bolingoli was Stephane Mahe incarnate. But my man of the match was Scott Brown! A captain playing a captains role! Right out in public.

     

     

    Celtic needed a leader today and Scott Brown who has always stepped forward, showed all the new players why he is the on field leader; reminded Celtic supporters about the size of the fight in the dog and through force of personality rather than football ability had the whole team follow him ‘once more in to the breach’! We’re lucky to have him.
