CONFIRMED: ELHAMED DERBY DEBUT – FORSTER RETURNS

0

HATEM ABD ELHAMED has recovered from injury and will start at right-back instead of the crocked Kristoffer Ajer at Ibrox in the midday kick-off.

The Israeli, bought from Hapoel Be’er Sheva for £1.2million in the summer, will be one of three Celtic players making their debut in the Glasgow fixture.

Christopher Jullien, who arrived in a £7million switch from Toulouse, and Boli Bolingoli, a £3million purchase from Rapid Vienna, are also in Neil Lennon’s starting line-up.

The towering Frenchman will be joined by Israeli midfielder Nir Bitton in the heart of the makeshift defence with Jozo Simunovic still ruled out.

Fraser Forster returns to goal with Craig Gordon, who played in the 4-1 Europea League play-off win over AIK Stockholm in Sweden on Thursday night, dropping onto the substitutes’ bench.

TEAM: Forster; Elhamed, Bitton, Jullien, Bolingoli; Brown, McGregor; Forrest, Christie, Johnston; Edouard. Subs: Gordon, Bauer, Hayes, Ntcham, Morgan, Bayo, Griffiths
