  1. Still no sign of the usual suspects

I don’t understand Celtic fans that use CQN as an outlet to post about Celtic .. if Celtic didn’t win today am pretty sure they would have stuff to post BUT when Celtic do win … not just today every other time … heehaw … but when it’s quiet maybe during the international break the poison will be drip fead once more …. the blog needs all opinions but some only give an opinion to disrupt the blog and sow their seeds of discontent …

4 games 12 pts ….. we’re on the one road

  2. Leaving all talk of ability etc I love the picture of Bronnie celebrating Eddie’s goal – you cannot buy that attitude or team spirit – he will be irreplacable!

When I got home today almost hit one of my hun neighbour’s with the car as he was pished as a fart walking his dug. ‘What can I say’ he said. ‘Here we go 10 in a row’ said I😂😁👏

  4. Over on RangersMedia their is a thread on our punt straight out the park from KO :) Four pages of orcs mostly saying that it set the tone for the game and put them on the backfoot right from the off.

Yep, four pages of it :)

    Here’s a taster:

“Them scoring had f*ck all to do with the punt up the pitch.

Under no pressure whatsoever Goldson passed the ball 12 yards straight to a celtic player and Katic tried to play offside rather than trying to stop their striker.

The genius was in humphing the ball way up the pitch and keeping us in our own half fir the first 3 minutes.

That took the sting out of our undoubted high press game plan.

Im sure you’ve watched enough football in your lifetime to understand the importance of momentum and laying down a marker.”

“They put us on the back foot from the first moment it was a brilliant move. They sent their team in to our half, they didn’t come to Ibrox with the intention of sitting back. It was a statement of intent. ”

“That kick off is the new Scott Allan pass.”

“A rugby style hoof deep into our half and out of play with the first kick of the ball.

Never seen that happen before and, credit where it’s due, it was a very clever move, even if it pains me to say it.Stopped us from immediately pressing them straight from kick off and it put us on the back foot right from the off.

Cleary we should be able to handle this sort of stuff but it felt like it caught us off guard and ultimately set the tone for the match.”

Out with the grand children today , so have just watched the whole taped match for the first time . We had to adapt our game from playing our sweet fitba , to wading through a torrent of bile and snotters , which we did magnificently . Not a failure in the team……Boli , Nir, Jullien ,Elhamed , broke their dark hearts. Eddie occupied three defenders most of the time , which unfortunately for them was probably at least three too few. Loved Jonny’s attitude and goal and liked what i saw of Bauer.

Tactical perfection from Lenny and co , complete control under pressure from just about all of Scotland and from hun acolytes well beyond our presbyterian borders.

Also taped Peaky Blinders bit I’m not sure whether to watch it or run through the game again!

  8. Just in bhoys—- I wanna be Edward…. Johnny, Johnny Hayes…

Wow… Did we pump those orange bar stewards or WHAT???????????

    Feckin lovin it…

This time last year CQN was in meltdown.

Bad transfer window, failure to get targets in.

Star player leaves ( big money transfer)

    Knocked out of Champions league

Usual weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth on here…The Rangers are coming etc

But this year it was …..exactly the same…!!!!

    When will the slump end

  13. Thanks to all for the nice comments about my post last night….

We are living in great Celtic times regardless of all the posters who seek to find fault with an incredible period of dominance. As i said my old man saw us win once at Ibrox vs my own good fortune to attend and see us win there over 20 times !

Today was a unique experience from the corner and it was absolutely amazing. As strong a bond amongst the fans in that wee section as there was on the park amongst the team. I honestly never felt we were threatened. The defensive shifts by the creative players meant the back 4 were able to see all in front of them and never give the pre season champions a sniff.

I made it over to the old man’s care home this afternoon after the game. I am afraid dear old Jack’s face still lit up more when I showed him wee Jinky’s goals to win the league in 67 in the 2-2 draw compared with showing him Eddie and Johny from today..

Still we hugged a warm embrace and as our few seconds of bonding passed.. I left him to have his tea and sensed he was as happy in his world as me in mine.

Off to watch the game again….

We must meet in Coias for salad sone day

    Thanks for that

  15. Just home with a belly full of porter. I love/hate playing the tribute team, as much as I did the original of the species.

These games rarely reflect the status of either clubs.

Today, however, was different. We won because we were the superior team, by far.

Our back four were outstanding. Our midfield bossed them, although I think Cristie was quiet.

Forrest was quiet because of the game plan Lennon laid down. So be it. It is a team game.

Mikey played well. Eduaurd was sublime. Brown was a feckn rock.

Delighted for Hayes. He is tough, skillful and genuine. We underestimate his contribution.

Anyway, I have a smile that would take 6 months for a cosmetic surgeon to remove..

    C’mon the Celts !!!

  16. Referring to Deniabhoy’s post, obviously the kick off was a preconceived plan & it was pure genius. Just wonder will it be used by more teams in the future. Love to know who exactly came up with the idea. Eddie found a great touch, he could have easily put it wide & it would have lost it’s effect.

  17. Right never mind the zombies I have 6 episodes of the Sopranos to go….😂😂😂

Where our bhoys up for that or whhhhhhat?

    D. :)

  18. Funny how opinions change. In The Scotttish Cup Final and in our recent league game against Hearts, our opponents went for the ‘kick deep into touch’ approach from their kick off. I took great pride in deriding that approaach as being “Levein – is that as good as it gets, tacticaly?” Well, humble pie time, but when we did it today it was seen as a maginificent tactic, taking the game to them from the off. It’s a funny old game….

  19. Jobo, I thought the same at the time, within a few seconds I realised it had worked.

It didn’t have the same effect for Hearts when they tries it.

Funny old game as you say.

  20. Jobo 10.33pm

Neil explained … he said we wanted to put them on the back foot and I think it worked

It didn’t work for Craig Levein so tough luck for him

Loved collecting a clean sheet today, the two goals scored were a bonus. Merit badges awarded to both of our defences in entirety, well done stickers to the rest of the squad and management.

Family texted me Jullien’s response to Sky reporter quizzing him about the back four being strangers to each other, “we were family out there”. Brilliant from the big man.

Cluj is rinsed, I’m ready for this season again.

  22. Joe. A time and a place.

Hertz are a shambolic team. Celtic are Top Class.

Today was Neil taking it to them.

My 3 are Nir, Scott and Boli.
