skelp on my right hand, skelp on my left hand,

skelp all around me, shield in the strife.

skelp in my sleeping, skelp in my sitting,

skelp in my rising, light of my heart.

    Cathedral View,

    Agree with your ref’s assessment.

It appeared as if Mr.Fleming has sent out a memo.

Will be interesting to see if that standard is repeated in our remaining games.

    Jimmy:

I was sitting across the aisle from Mahe on the flight up from London when he signed for Celtic, Mahe was nervous. I was also on the flight back to London after he signed for Celtic, Mahe was going mental.

  4. Whenever I hear them singing about being born under a Union Jack I always think…….

…..how strange……was it a home birth, outdoors somewhere?

Me, I preferred a maternity ward in a highly equipped modern hospital for my weans. I’m a funny one, me.

Still good of thems to be so considerate given the pressure on bed numbers in NHS Scotland.

  6. Well done Celtic.

  7. Re the ref yesterday, as the first half was drawing to a close I was sitting there thinking (ala Chas Nick) that ‘this ref is giving us everything today’. Only then did I realise however that all of his decisions were simply correct. No favours, no 50/50s that could have gone the otehr way. He simply did his job correctly. And that’s all we ever ask – fairness, a level playing field. Things changed a little in the 2nd half, particularly after Garner appeared and (ahem) won a few free kicks.

Funny that the day had started with a cracker of a one liner from ole Bournesouprecipe who had opined that he’d be happy “Just as long as we don’t get Beaton today ;-) ”

Anyway, time to post off my renewal!

  8. Give me joy in my heart, Glasgow Celtic.

Never stopped laughing yesterday. Face hurts.

From Simply the Best being belted out to Mika waltzing to glory it was fabulous.

Blog has been a joy anaw.

  9. Would I be right in saying 10 of yesterday’s starters for us where all R D players, one wonders if that one little guy who spat the dummy out and started causing it last season mixing it up for him how things would have turned, I notice some of the rags saying B R may give him a farewell run in the team, hmm? My opinion and only mine, I wouldent let him near another Celtic jersey, not to spoil the mood after that spectacular exhibition yesterday , what an outstanding performance that was, and as thems being a poor team, not our problem, we can only turn up and play who we are scheduled to.

It could have been double figures yesterday easily, skill, pace, ball control, and coaching puts us on another planet from most of the teams in this league, but as they sy on any given day upsets can happen, yesterday I’m afraid for thems and they’r darling media was definitely not one of those days, and I congratulate everyone at Celtic Park for that tanking we gave this new club H H

  10. Corkcelt

Tanner put the was it a foul question to Super Salary who to his credit said ‘ he got the ball ‘ unlike souptaker Walker panders to SKY and controversy at every turn.

And McCoist was scathing about ‘the gap’ to the extent it was ‘frightening’ for the Rangers fans’. He descended into the usual farce when he began to talk investment, and the bit that all Sevcs don’t seem to comprehend that they are a new club trying to compete with no money.

Tanner also tried to draw him on Dave King’s investment (lack of ) because he knows McCoist is anti in the growing anti King

    29/4/2017:

Will live long in my memory.. and theirs. The day we ripped ’em apart.

  12. The fact that 10 of the team were there under Ronny only outlines how good a Manager Brendan is compared to Ronny. He has improved every player individually, played them in their best positions, improved the game plans and made the correct substitutions and tactical changes as the individual games unfolded.

Maybe Kris was ahead of the Posse when he clearly thought the job was too big for Ronny.

  13. Morning bhoys and ghirls great thing this being a Tim.

Off out with my bhoy to spend a few hours in the company of a legend. The Hands of Stone Roberto Duran. Looking forward to this.

  14. This is what it is…

“When you pull on that jersey, you’re not just playing for a football club, you’re playing for a people and a cause.”- Brendan Rodgers quoted Tommy Burns on his first day at Celtic Park.

  15. Great Blog one of the best ever. I’m off to Mass will check back later. Hope Paul hasn’t changed the record before then.

  16. BRTH

That was perfect, having been to Mass at 9.30 I can confirm young and old, across all genders are happy smiling and full of the joys, I wonder why.

Ah widnae say Ronny spat the dummy out he is quite complimentary of his time at our club.:-):-)

I know a lot, who played under Ronny were playin yesterday Tony.

The difference in our club is the manager.

Kris Commons I thank you for your service to my club both on and off the park.Your record stands up.

Hope alls goin well with yourself Tony

  19. again on paddy.Pep will be under tremendous pressure next season to win the league, make a show in the CL.He has a lot of fantastic players up front and midfield.I would think Paddy would be a gamble for him,and would,if he was lucky,be warming the bench more than not.He will spend mega money this year which will hamper Paddy more.I know its wishful thinking, but more than likely to happen with City.Wether Pep might think another loan to Celtic,or a sell and buy back deal, would be off more use to him,who knows.

I am not sure Paddy knows yet,so we will have to wait. One thing I know,If Jason had stayed longer with us,he would not be in the position he is now.

  20. Woke up this morning with lovely feeling of joy and contentment now that is what it means to be Celtic

  21. No trumpet blowing, but I did keep on saying that Boyatta was only a wean as far as appearances go.Too many people who know football more than me saw something in him,Belgium,Man City, although a bit raw they saw the potential.I think we have as good a pairing as a team with our budget could possibly have in central defence. If they stay together, can only get better.

Jozo fell into the same category, regarding first team football.Another wean.

Developing into big hairy assed weans now.
