On Paddy Roberts. His improvement under BR has been startling. He is now mixing his game up.Great wee football brain.Magical feet.Packs a fair dig as well. His assists since he came have been terrific to go with his goals.
On another note. The Celtic midfield looks the most balanced I can remember.Mc Gregor and Armstrong dovetail beautifully with Broony. The improvement in these two players is amazing.BR is a genius. If Kouassi lives up to what we have seen, could be a terrific midfield for the CL.Add Rogic in there, and I dont think we need another midfielder.Spend the money on Paddy.

I know young KT got man of the match today, his interview was magic, but for me Leigh Griffiths was head and shoulders above anybody on the park, scored, hit the bar, corners, free kicks, everything, Leighnis my type of Celtic striker

Paddy Roberts, he was brilliant today but lets not kid ourselves, he was up against nobody. There is no doubting Paddy’s ability but anything in excess of £5-7m is too much. He has lots to add to his game in a defensive context, especially when playing at a higher level. So whilst he is ever improving, he will not be anywhere near the Man City team next season. The experience up here will have done him the world of good. Like many he will not realise what he had at Celtic until he moves on. Best case scenario he goes back to City, starts pre-season, they then want to loan him to another middle of the road EPL team where he will be on the bench or abroad much like Denayer. If that does happen, he should come back to Celtic in whatever fashion a deal can be done, possibly permanently with Man City having a first buy back option. His style of player isn’t suited to the EPL, certainly as a first 11 player, he would be better off abroad. So lets wait and see, i think he will be with us next year but I’m not certain.

Would you give Paddy a game on your 5 a side team ?
In 5 to 7 years I honestly think you’ll look back on that opinion and think what the thingimy was I talking about. Paddy will make it to the top and be a national hero for England in the not to distant future. IMO.

Our first priority should be to tie down Armstrong, i was literally in awe of his performance, in the first half particularly. Sometimes TV doesn’t do it justice, but the ground he was covering was nothing short of incredible. Get the deal done, 5 years.
I very much doubt we will see Paddy at Celtic park after this season, Pedro won’t weigh in IMO.
I reckon Brendan’s scouts will find us a player as good as Paddy for a fraction of the cost, Scotty is the bench mark, a couple ish of mill, a steal, there will be more to come from Brendan.
Brendan put Paddy in last weekend as last season England u-20s played Malta and Paddy ripped Beerman a new one, personally I would love Paddy to stay, but even this far down the line I don’t Paddy is for staying …….
By the way Brendan was correct again as Paddy has ran Beerguy twice now in 7 days……

As the lad Beerman sleeps tonight, Paddy will still be running him in circles, he will wake in the middle of the night in a cold cold sweat!
We have the player as good as Paddy and he is proven not only domestically but also in Europe. Think back to Man City. The Bhoy has it and is outstanding. Is pay Celtic £15m to keep him if I won Euro lottery on Wednesday.
You won’t get a player like that without risk on the market for less right now. I watch German and Spanish footy and I don’t see players in those leagues if take over Paddy right now. I also think he’d fit right into a Barca or Real team the way they play without a second thought.

I’m positive about Paddy. I’ll reckon 70% chance he’ll be with us next season.
I agree though, Brendan will already have targets in mind. I hope we can execute the deals quickly and to his liking, in time for the qualifiers. He said he wants two players, I’m fairly sure it will be one centre halve and one winger/striker.
I agree with you but I also have the Pedro thoughts at the forefront, he won’t weigh in, end of and well you know it, that is a fact.
I also watch footy from all over, watching South American footy tonight and it’s kwality, but none of them have a Paddy, my point is we will sign another maybes not as good but one who could be as good for a fraction of what Paddy would cost us, back to Pedro.
I doubt we will spend more than 3 mill on a player, 4-5 at a major push, but only if we are in the groups again otherwise we will spend feck all and Paddy will be but a dream.

Paddy Roberts is a good player, but he isn’t as good as Jinky, and I don’t think Celtic will pay 15 million for him
Hyndman is a decent player in a terrible team
Bad move for him coming to Rangers, his confidence looks shot
I agree that Brendan could turn him into the player that Fulham thought he would be when they brought him over from Dallas as a kid
