Before joining us last year, Urhoghide and Shaw played in the team with the worst defensive in the English championship.
Good to see the team again. More so on a Saturday afternoon for me.

Fair result. We were outplayed for long spells. Goals were soft ones to lose though. Hope we see something closer to first XI in next game.

Only caught the last half hour. Not a team I would expect to see in any competitive match as the season progresses. The defending was poor. Big Chris J took about a dozen games to get going when he first joined us. He looked well off it from what I saw. Right back was poor. No control in midfield.
Minutes in the legs, lessons learned no doubt and we move on.
tbf I’d always go with an inswinger, ye need to find the sweet spot.

Aye we still have a fair bit to go yet, but not downhearted or even close to it, we have the makings of a very very good team there, just need a couple of first team starters in and away we go, it’s not an easy task getting all the pieces of the puzzle to fit, I trust as the season goes on Ange will figure it out.

We nearly won
No obvious injuries
Both teams each half played the same style
Some players played well
It’s only a pre-season not-too-friendly match
Negatives
They broke our press fairly comfortably
We struggled to break theirs- too many passes to players less than a yard away
Defending crosses/corners weakened as the game went on
Our passes were too easily intercepted
We are fouling too much- even accounting for their play acting
We nearly lost
On to Ostrava, Blackburn, Legia and Norwich
Celtic looked very fit in the first game for most of those players and scored three good goals. Normal defensive pairing wouldn’t have lost the cross ball goals, great work out for AP’s side against a good side who are still horrible after all these years.

Not enough leadership in the first half.
No leadership at all in the second half.
We are well off where we need to be.
Looking at the last game / first game situation — we have no heart / emotion.
We won the SPL because of that — if we lose it then we are in trouble.
CCV is not worth ÂŁ6mill.

I wasnt overly impressed by the performance of many players. CALMAC, KYOGO, TURNBUL, BAIN all did okay.
Big GIO MUST learn TWO things…how to hold the ball up and then how to find a team mate.
Wee Greg Taylor is so much better than out recent left back signing…so far.
The goals we lost were shocking.
Big Julians HEID is obviously elsewhere…..Sadly.

What did this match mean.
Absolutely feck all,
What do we learn from it.
Very little.
Players playing out there are putting in heavy training sessions, they are not 100% physically or mentally to play at their best,
The camp, the match is all about building for the Aberdeen game, That is the only game that counts.
The work continues.
Our biggest issue is that we do not have the quality needed to play AP’s tactics.
Even a starting CB and a starting CDM will not be enough.
Our FB’s get support from their winger not the MF.
We struggle against a quick counter if the winger on that side is not close enough to the play.
Leaves the FB all too often facing two guys / overload and they are away.
CJ should not start for us again.
He is becoming a danger to himself.
Not focused enough to play competitive sport.
Pre season and all that but I see no reason to think we’re going to tighten up at the back in Europe. We will concede by the barrowload in the champions league.

Guys we are in heavy training, The game is part of a programme to have us ready for next Season, had we won today 6 nil it wouldn’t make any difference,
