Canamaler, I joke about the share price. For me its an emotional investment that I’ll pass to my parasites.

Did you see the thing about that mad hun banger that wanked his lottery win away and he’s now made millions again oan bit coins?

FFS, I bought Celtic shares to invest in Res12 with you. If we’d all bought bitcoin we could have pished all over Dermot D by now and still have a few carribean island under our belts.

You’re fired as my financial guru.

  2. BSR

Maybe he got better at recruitment after his first season with Pool and will do the same at Celtic.

The only ones in your minus column who weren’t bought as squad back ups were Kouassi and, maybe Comperr (Jack Hendry has, by BR’s own admission, been fast-tracked too quickly because of our sick notes Simo & Comperr). Musonda was a loan and does not belong on the list anymore than Benkovic does.

    AGCF,

    did you no buy bitcoin?

I thought everybody bought them, me I bought them to escape the capitalist fiat banking system, I suppose others done it for purely investment/speculative reasons :)

  4. Canamalar it looks like OCD obsession on

    time for baw baws

get day trading, its just like the bookies, and the markets are in for a doing over the next couple of months so bet down :)

  5. A Ceiler Gonof Rust on

Canameat, unfortunately not, I bought into my pension that has risen by about the width of a ghosts pube, and a house in Spain.

If only ye knew then. If I’d put my whole pension fund into Celtic shares in 2013 I could have retired yesterday with some islands to spare and an estate in Spania.

Me, I enjoy the punishment of the rat race, the worry, the bitching wife and the greying hair. What’s not to like……………………………..:_)

    AGCR,

:oD)))) indeed, what’s not to like, no struggle, no life, challenge makes you live longer, or it just feels like that, no sure now :0D))

  7. SANDMAN’S DEFINITIVELY UNREPENTANT RATINGS

‘I though making the new Halloween movie was scary, but I’ll bet my tremendous funbags it’s nowhere near the anxiety levels of a Celtic away performance in Europe.’

    Jamie Lee Curtis.

‘Coloureds, bitches, skanks and witches – I’ve super-injunctioned them all, but my fat bigoted pompous butt won’t clench tight enough to defy a Sandman Ratings publication.’

    Sir Phillip Green.

‘The wean’s no mine right? It’s Harry’s. Now f### off ma doorstep and go back tae yer Child Support Agency, mate.’

    L.Griffiths.

    Gordon: 7.5/10

The Pink Panther pulled off an astonishing save to stop a humbling turning into a rout. Inspector gadget fingertips got enough on that low rasper to shake the post and spare the blushes. Nearly blocked the second, no chance with the first. Still the best shot-stopper in Paradise since The Wall.

    Gamboa: 4/10

‘He’s only good for taking care of petite fanny Neymar…’ was the cry. And with good judgement. Great pace and enthusiasm for the cause coupled with flashes of mentalness. Blew it at the second by attempting to savage the advertising hoardings, And missed them. And the ball. And the man. Ended up scratching his arse while we were scratching our heads.

    Boyata: 6/10

Long live the King of the New Sieve! Fantastic Dedryck moment of non-ball-watching which delivered the opener on a plate. What’s that, you say, argumentative reader – Kouassi put him off? No, he shouldn’t have. Big D should have been primed for deflections, nicks, chaos. It’s his job. January. Windae. £10 million. Taxi.

Recovered well enough but damage was done.

    Jozo: 5/10

Ghostly presence was no early Halloween rumour. Spent the game tying to find his mojo. Ended up ineffective, marking and chasing shadows and timing everything poorly. Hope this excursion gets him back on track.

    KT: 6.5/10

One of our very own still burning the fuel like a fighter jet on an aircraft carrier runway; but can’t get the momentum for his season to take-off. burnout might be right – he’s all action but the zest is missing. Still played his captain’s role well.

    Kouassi Eboue : 5/10

Looks the part. Acts it occasionally but can’t get his engine or tackling up to speed. Rather than drop him, give him a run of games to prove his worth or ship out in Jan.

    Sam Jackson : 5/10

Muthaf#### ain’t gettin’ his muthaf######’ goddamn act together. Played like a muthaf##### for most of the game before he shaped up to give us some righteous muthaf##### moments but blew his big chance late on – although it was some muthaf##### save.

    Morgan: 4/10

Damn, hoped the kid would shine but he disappeared. Stuck to the wing when he’d have been as well roaming freely to link up with Eddie.

    Calmac: 3/10

Pranced, scampered and gave the ball away. Manager’s pet got found out.

    Broon MkII? LOL #1.

Sorry, the wee mhan was all at sea, and drowned. If the iron curtain was still up would have traded him for a stale loaf, three bananas and a picture of Debbie Harry circa ’78.

    Christie: 6.5/10

Determined. May shape up into a promising standard of midfielder. No longer lightweight or hiding, added some grit, has the feet to do damage – like Kouassi, needs a run to prove himself. First suggestion – shave yer heid son, look more menacing.

    French Eddie : 6/10

Our quicksilver spiv playing the loner role looked a handful to begin with – sooo close to opening the scoring – but was isolated again and suffered from no service. He’s no lone striker so the midfielders need to get up to him quicker. And provide options.

    Subs:

Nah. Mick was solid-ish, however JH and SS – played like men reluctant to take part but forced into it. 4/10.

    BR: 6/10

He’s a nice fella with an attacking philosophy and a dynamic outlook. But without Broon in the side we lack the true grit (see what I did there, Marion Morrison fans?) mentally to succeed. and even then, many players seem to feed off the managers seeming insouciance for taking a Euro-pumping.

We don’t have the level of player he worked with down south, the depth of squad to maintain his utopian ideals in the arena of European conflict ; this Celtic side seems to lack the scrapper’s attitude that can bridge the quality divide in vital moments during games where we risk being swamped.

Digging in is not our thing, or Brendan’s desire. But it’s how we achieved some of our finest Euro results in recent history. Sometimes we have to think more Franco Baresi than Doctor Socrates. Can BR do that?

    OVERALL: Pish/10

The Baldrickian cunning plan to dress up as Borussia Dortmund had them fooled for half an hour. Then they realised we were more Yellow Mellow (see what I did there, hippies) than Yellow Peril (see what I did there colonial xenophobes?).

Ever ridden a daunting rollercoaster full of anticipation and swagger then realised the experience is a bit too much for you and will induce giddiness and nausea? Welcome to being Celtic in Europe.

  8. More of the same pish, a game where weren’t outclassed,we are the European experts at losing 2 goals in 5 minutes , we would be better starting away games in Europe at -2,it gives us the 90 minutes to try and get a draw.We do not defend as a team, no cohesion, no partnerships ,…..was anyone surprised we got beaten? ….I doubt it….what does that tell you?

  9. debut in the Champions League group stage.

The 40-year-old referee endured an eventful night in the Russian capital as Porto ran out 3-1 winners on Wednesday evening.

Madden awarded penalties to both sides – with the visitors converting their spot-kick through Moussa Marega after Manuel Fernandes had been denied by Iker Casillas – and dismissed the hosts’ midfielder Solomon Kverkvelia.

  10. Well I’m glad that’s out of the way.

I said earlier this week that we should be focused on Sunday, especially with the injury situation.

Brendan’s focus Friday and Saturday should be to lift the players.

Kieran looked knackered near the end, and I feel he could suffer a dip in form due to the amount of games he is playing.

Boyata had a nervy game and I hope Benkovic is back to partner him.

Calum is not dependable and has been MIA too often recently. He could do with an opportunity to regain his appetite.

Ntcham is suffering from a drop in confidence and is maybe taking his position for granted. He needs something to gee him up and in the absence of Broonie I don’t see anyone to push and cajole him on the field. Maybe Lustig should be more vocal.

James will return on Sunday to rampage down the wing on Murrayfield’s expanses.

I hope Tom is fit enough to provide a bit of the unexpected, the piece of skill defenders can’t account for and creates chances.

I may have to light a candle Saturday night. Not for the team to win, but for me to settle my nerves and approach the game with confidence.

  11. ‘GG, I’m having a sleepless night. But it was good to read your post. You are still retaining some hope. I can only think of bad things just now from the board down to the management. I don’t blame the players, they are what they are. But I’m fed up with our performance in Europe. From a club that was once proud in Europe to a joke. I don’t think anything will change until PL & DD hang their heads in shame and walk out the door.

  12. PL & DD might be feeling good about themselves in any other business, but this is a football club. And not just any football club. They are in charge of Glasgow Celtic. Swines.

And as I have said previously PL is no big hitter, he is lucky to have a captured audience. Try being in charge of Tesco Peter! Naw you wouldn’t dare!

  13. As for DD, has he ever started a business from tiny acorns? No! All he has ever done is having a bit of money and SPECULATING. He couldn’t start a firm and grow it to save himself.

Speculation is the name of the game. He is a son of Thatcher.

  14. Remember the financial crash from 2008? It was based with financial speculators, not businessmen/women. Gamblers! Enter DD. Not that he has a risky bet with Celtic. He was a clever gambler with that one!

    Except!

    Maybe!

    What If!

    Surely not?

    The tap tier?

    The Ends too?

  15. Good morning CQN from a dark and cold Garngad

    Morning Tims..

I see there is a lot of pages to catch up on, aye right so a will.

I’ve got paint to watch dry instead.

Still Maybees it was all thought provoking and positive, then again Maybees it was awe tripe.

H.H and onwards to the rugby ground who ironically will have a better playing surface than our opponents that live roon the corner fae them.

  17. blantyretim is praying for the Knox family on

ALL I want is for defenders to defend

Is that too big an ask?

  18. 50 shades of green on

Imho a few bust myths last night.

1 McGregor can do Broonie’s job.

2.Gamboa is better than Oscifer MIK

3.Jozi is fit. And Jozi is the best CD at Celtic Park ( awe right that wans my comment)

    4 .Ollie’s a hard man.

5 .We awe know better than Brendan.

So in conclusion, leave the managerial work to the manager.

  19. morning bhoys from a wet damp Cheshire ,feck Europe lets just concentrate on winning all the trophies in Scotland.hh.

  20. With some perspective – still not surprised we got beat. I thought we might get humped mind.

    I don’t have an idea. :)

I don’t have an idea…………………………… what we need to do to fix European issues. For me this is the main area we have to judge improvement or otherwise.

I’ll let Brendan Rodgers, The Celtic Manager get on with it I think.

    HH All Hoops.

  21. 50 shades of green on

One other thing that bugs the bloody life out of me in European football, why do we always conceded goals like animals going into Noah’s ark eh.

Supposedly your at your most vulnerable when you’ve just scored, not our opponents no siree they think “hey that was good why dont we do it again “.

    Heedsdoon.csc

  22. There is a trend now that cannot be ignored. Rank poor defending and when we lose a goal very often we lose another in the next few minutes ( The stats are there )

The trends also suggest we are not learning anything. It is in Europe I judge our progress.

We most certainly need psychological help to correct our European mindset.

I still believe in BR and think he is the best fit we could possibly hope for, but maybe he just needs a little help.

  23. BOBBY MURDOCH'S CURLED-UP WINKLEPICKERS on

Didn’t watch the match, missed it due to the Thursday split shift. Read back there, had to laugh at times, and I know I shouldn’t. I take every defeat, every bad performance like a stone in my shoe-or kidney!-and a boot in the balls.

But hey,I’ve found my reason to be cheerful, and it was written on these very pages. So,for every one of you facing the smirks of the huns at work-you know, the ones who had been more into the rugby or the golf for the last six or seven years-just hit them with the truth.

None of your fake news on here,oh no. You ready…

    *

“This was no digrace or embarrassment some cynics feared and had Ntcham scored near the end 2-1 would have been a reasonable result who’ve already lost by the same margin, in a more important tournament at present back in Kilmarnock.”

    *

No need to thank me,and I know the contributor is too modest to push for the plaudits that comment deserves. But we all owe him big-time,he has got us out of jail with a riposte that they certainly won’t have seen coming!

  24. BIG-CUP-WINNERS on

One of the frequent posters used to sign off with something along the lines of “everyday’s a schoolday on CQN”. In other words, a source of enlightenment.

In the last 12 hours I’ve read football at Celtic’s level is indeed a simple game.

Moaning at the players is somehow going to result in a positive.

Dermot and Pedro are the source of all failure.

And now our players need psychological help.

Where do I find a cave, without the internet ?

    *

Good advice, sir. Send it to PL.

  26. It’s the hope that gets you in the end.

The hope that we can perform to our individual levels of talent.

The hope that we can play to our full potential in a foreign land.

The hope that we can produce our best and then some.

RBL — pretty ordinary if truth be told.

However they played as if they wanted to win.

We played as if we wanted to keep the score down.

After the first goal went in it became every man for themselves.

The plan and the structure evaporated before our very eyes.

CMcG — poorest display in while, totally hopeless.

Worse than a man down — took up space then did nothing.

ML — the fear was strong in that one.

He plays like the main man in an Ingrid Bergman film.

Just waiting for it all to go belly up.

KT — when our structure went he was toast.

He desperately needs coaching — everything from running style to passing.

Playing as if he is pigeon toed.

Basics need work like strength, conditioning and fitness.

We are one step below the required standard.

Last night showed it in all its gory detail.

Get the physicals right and then we can work on the attitude and the appetites.

We are currently playing like flat track SPL bullies.

  27. I believe that keeping it tight and error free straight after scoring or losing a goal is vital.

Instead, on Saturday, ‘comfortable 3-1’ near instantly became ‘interesting 3-2’. While last night, ‘recoverable 0-1’ Quickly became ‘unassailable 0-2’

iPad lag saves me a red card card. See if you can join the dots. The s was the first letter of a five letter word I had already used. There were another four letters in the next word too

    Had it,offski.

  29. The throw ins give it all away.

No-one wants to put in the effort.

Seen as a chore that belongs to someone else.

Fix that and it would be progress.

Even when playing well on Saturday it was a case too often of after you Claude.

Generates a sense of laziness, entitlement.

That we can win games without doing the basics.

Boot up the erse needed, and needed quick.
