Rhetorical magic from old Lumley-troubler

1149

Old Lumley-troubled used a classic rhetorical technique yesterday. Give your target audience lots of points to consider which you know they will agree with; build empathy, get heads nodding, fists banging on tables, then slip in the line you are trying to sell. As a piece of prose, you have to respect the statement. This guy, or his writer, has not only read the Greeks, he’s understood their importance.

If Sir David is right, Rangers issued no side contracts, all non-discretionary payments to players in connection to football were registered, if the redacted contract which appeared in The Sun in March was a piece of fiction, if the prima facie evidence presented by Duff and Phelps was an error, he and his soon to be liquidated former club have nothing to worry about.

No worries mate, appreciate you were not saying we would get Rhodes. Apart from what he would cost, I hear we have had second thoughts about if he is what we need. Personally, not convinced with Rhodes.

I do know and know it was in the MSM but we did make an enquiry for Simon Cox, his move to Blackburn Rovers didn’t go through…

On a different subject any CQNers going to the Cropredy Festival this year? Squeeze is the headliner on Thursday

  4. We have said on here they will get big crowds for the first month. The novelty of playing the likes of Elgin and Berwick will soon wear off.

They wont always have glamour cup ties like tonight against opposition from a higher league…

Best game I’ve watched in ages, it had the lot skill, endeavour, brains, spills, drama. Everything that is misssing from sterile men’s soccer.

  12. Commentators saying Ki has had a great tournament.

I still only see him good positionally but offering zero forward momentum.

He shows for the ball but only goes sideways and backwards. His pass percentage is good but he has to start moving the ball more in a forward direction.

Koreas forwards also outnumbered as he sits around halfway line and never goes forward in support.

Great he is being bigger up in tournament so increasing our price

No offence but that’s probably why Ki is being chased out the door and others are clamouring for Brown and McCourt to be in our starting 11.

Ki will go onto much bigger things than probably all his other team mates at Celtic. Scottish football needs to change quick.

They are continuing in their reincarnation as they were when they snuffed it. TFOD are in full swing with the sad old msm as their PR department.

I would think that some kind of direct action is required.

Basically,we’ve all beeen conned so that the season can get going and the powers that be think nothing can be done about it and newco sevco rankers is a hard reality.

I suspected this would be the case all along.

As always I support Celtic. Anything else is a joke. A sick joke.

The continuation of the bigots in any footballing form is an absolute travesty and a proper slap in the face of us all who actually love the game, unlike the muppets from Govan who are only in it for the aggro, and because they arrapeepul.
