    Nothing like a Celtic draw, oh wait last minute winner to bring the zombies out of the woodwork, SMSM awash with gnashing teeth.

     

     

    Five goal Tony Ralston take a bow along with AP who insisted on resigning him in June, a free scoring right back, from under the noses of BR and NL who’d have thunked it.

     

     

    We were playing like a side with no strikers, Dingwall as ever the leveller in a frantic game where we performed another great escape despite ‘obstruction’ by Alan Muir, more than once. Ironic, the waved on stonewall penalty led directly to a switch of wings, a Tom Rogic assist and a salmon leap winner from Ralston.

    agree league is everything , poor defending by both our centre backs at their goal ,both go chasing players other than following the flight of the ball that both forwards were never getting as ball is to high and go beyond the front post leaving far too much room in the middle of the goal for them to attack.

    I thought it during the game and still now.

     

     

    Can anyone imagine a hun defender receiving two yellows in an identical situation (unless in Europe).

     

     

    My take on Starfelt’s complaint to the ref was clear – he had an obvious head injury (regardless of intent) and the ref made no attempt to stop play.

    It was an exciting finish and I’m really pleased for the lads after putting in an enormous shift with ten men and in the end there we found a way to get a winner. I think it was just reward for their efforts.

     

     

    It looked like you’d have to settle for a point but Tony Ralston popped up with the winner after a great delivery by Tom Rogic.

     

     

    I don’t think we were settling for anything. In the end we were trying to win the game. The spirit of the lads with ten men is that we won’t settle for a point. It’s not what we are about, we wanted to win the game and they did it.

     

     

    What were your thoughts on the two yellows and the red card for Starfelt?

     

     

    I think the decisions went against us tonight but I’m not going to complain about it. I just want to win games of football and that’s what I keep telling the lads. We keep just keep doing our thing, winning games of football and not worry about these other things that can potentially try to derail us.

     

     

    You’ve had a lot of injuries. How did that affect team selection tonight?

     

     

    Yeah, we’ve had a lot of injuries, particularly in that front third so we had to get creative tonight. Liel did a great job in leading the line and young Moff as well when he came on and gave us a bit of energy which was pleasing. We had to dig deep and we got the rewards.

     

     

    And the three points, it’s important to keep pressure on Rangers as well.

     

     

    It’s just important to get the three points, I’m not really worried about anyone else.

     

     

    Any update on Kyogo?

     

     

    No, not really. It’s a day to day thing. We will see how he is in a couple of days.

     

     

    Is the focus all on Sunday now?

     

     

    Absolutely. It’s a big game for us so we will get down the road and recover and get ready for it.

    The point re Starfelt is it was a deliberate elbow, Ross County player should have been red carded.

     

    To add insult to injury Starfelt was down with a broken nose & Ref wouldn’t stop play.

     

    Starfelt no doubt crossed the line with his verbals but if Ref was doing his job, it would never have come to that,

     

    We also looked to have a definite penalty a few minutes from the end, again not given,

     

    So IMO that goal was a huge GIRFUY to all the forces aligned against us.

     

    Cant remember the last time I felt so elated at a goal, possibly Rogic’s last minute winner against Aberdeen in Cup Final.

    Just a reminder –

     

    tonight’s referee, who didn’t see Starfelt getting fouled and his nose bloodied and instead booked him for pointing that out, is the same referee who whilst standing next to the post as an AAR in a semi-final didn’t see a Griffiths header being punched off the line by an ICT defender which would have meant 1-0 up and a penalty against 10 men !

     

    Leopards and spots springs to mind !!!

    I’ve just seen that big horror Mackay’s post match interview on Sportscene , what a lot of mince he was spouting . As Bada Bing stated earlier Mackay’s comment they must wonder how they left with anything , defies all logic.
