I’m sure all on here who attend the”Hoots” and Golf outings enjoy themselves immensely – talking to fellow Tims is enjoyable and putting faces to names must be fun.

This is not my thing and not why I choose to post on CQN, the best Celtic blog, bar none. I have a wide circle of family & friends with whom I do ‘hooting’every other day,

    ……………

    YOU have ” Friends” ?

    I refuse to believe that.

What percentage of your ” Friends” love Boris ?

You’re welcome. I enjoy reading your posts and working out who you are referring to exercises my brain. 🤣

Incidentally, Avfew years ago you stopped posting and I hoped that you would start again because I think that you post some radical ideas, some of which I never thought of and some which someone at the club should consider taking on Board. I know you have your critics on here but I know that you’re a passionate Tim just like they are.

  3. To those Chumps on here ONLY NOW looking forward to being invited to a Hoot…You had your chances over many years, but to be at a Hoot was somehow ” BENEATH You.

As my wee Granny used to say…” There are folk out there that are SO MISERABLE…..that they OWE THEMSELVES a Drink” !

    Short arms and long pockets.

  4. The constant putting down of fans who love Hun games, very strange to me.Not shared,I am glad to say by the vast majority of fans who go to games.Try getting a ticket for the 2nd.We need rivalry. The greatest feeling in football for me is humping them. Not the team,THEM..Be it the old entity,or the new,or even another in the future,THEY remain, and need a right good grubbing.

  5. Talking of wild goal celebrations.

When Celtic faced Man U in the CL at Celtic Park I was living in Australia. It kicked-off about 4am and I watched the game on FOXTEL.

I had booked the day off work and was enjoying a few drams and beers. When Nakamura scored I went ballistic. I opened the flyscreen and ran out into the garden, dancing like a lunatic and screaming like a banshee.

Later that day as I slept it off, my missus was in the back garden when our next door neighbour spoke to her.

“Did you hear that awful screaming early this morning?”

“No,” she lied. “I can’t say I did. What time was that?”

“About half past five I reckon. Scared the shit out of me and my Sheila.”

“Could it have been a fox?”

“No. It was definitely human. It sounded like someone was on fire.”

    I kinda was.

  6. St Tams :- And you don’t like Ryan Christie either. Maybe you can erase him from our history, like the Communists did with Trotsky

  7. Comments on ACSOM last night after our heroic victory, proved without doubt these co hosts are paid puppets of the main stream media. They are sponsored by the company that owns the Herald &Evening Times, he who pays the piper plays the tune. Assault on Starfelt was an accident. He was to blame for losing his discipline. The Celtic Way is not fan media its owned by same media group which sponsors ACSOM. They appear on Sky Sports News in spite of the Morelos/ translation scandal where Celtic fans were accused of racisim. Avoid these 5th columnists at all cost. They are Celtic fans , but bought &paid for. One is a former Daily Record journalist too…

  8. Big Jimmy,

Hootenanny’s were always an open invitation. You did not require a personal invite.

  9. Rimtim @828am….Post of the year…. Get the Celtic-haters banned…. It’s rippin’ oot them.

Sore one for them last night….

  10. MM

I didn’t know Stevie Nicks played for us😎

Took me a bit to realise it was Nakamura

    TV watch

on Hesgoal – Craigan reckoned Juranovic was a play actor and also Starfelt (despite the blood). He then waxed on about Starfelt being too honest and should rough White up a bit. Strange guy

On BBC – McFadden said probably not a penalty as arms were at his side . Clown.

Foster thought Strafelt was harshly treated and had a right to complain. He also thought Hart should have got involved at their goal. I like his commentary every week. fair and reasoned. Cool specs too.

Sevco – looked very dominant vs St Johnstone. Physical, playing more cautiously in defence which means the go direct more. Seems to be working. On the 2 Jan, we ned to keep the ball and when they have it, be alert to the ball over the top and stay tight on Kent. Aribo is a worry as he has found a good touch and shot these days to add to his physicality. We won’t be man marking so when our attacks break down, we need to funnel back fast . Having our FBs narrow may help in this respect as their FB threat will not be as great under GVB

  13. Ta BADA – in addition to Muir’s being blighted by that crippling temporary blindness ailment, it has to be said that Mr Kamara’s acting skills in clip 1 are absolutely DeNiro-esque! Cheatin is the method (acting).

    Bassas!

PS Glesga hoots are hard for us exotics and out-of-towners. Plenty good Sellik men at large in the big bad world!

I know that, but I usually try to avoid places where I know that I wont be welcome ?

Its amazing on here this morning how those who have NEVER been to any Hoot, feel free to express / ASSUME how EVERYONE at any Hoot MUST get on with EVERYONE else enjoy themselves ?

Ive been to Hoots, and met some characters that I walk away from asap.

Coolness personified. The through ball from CalMac wasn’t too shabby either.

The fear (there’s always a fear) is that he attracts a stupid money offer.

  19. ConeyBhoy

Agree regarding Foster. Whenever he’s on Sportscene, I always find him to be reasoned, honest and to have good insights. I think he’s one of the very few in Scotland who doesn’t try to be controversial for the sake of it and tries to be professional. Willie Miller and Michael Stewart (to a lesser extent) try to do the same.

  20. Tony Ralston is fast becoming the epitome of a Celtic player. Coming through the ranks with a passage that was far from easy. Written off by managers & fans alike, farmed out to the provinces, only his love of Celtic has kept him going and now he gets his reward & recognition.

Last night he was like Superman, blocking a certain second goal at one end, and scoring at the death, at the other. As Tom Rogic collected the ball on the right, I swear I saw a text-bubble over AR’s head saying “well if no one else is going to do it, it’s down to me”

He deserves all the plaudits going – well done Tony!!!

  21. 67 European Cup Winners on

    A worrying observation

We are hanging on (a credit to the manager/team)

Recently we don’t give ourselves a cushion – the second goal

We then hang on particularly the last quarter (20 mins)

Winning by one goal is obviously good enough – but the pressure and tension on the players is exhausting

Also as a footballer if you know that a 50/50 is likely to go against you or if you are in line you will get called off side and you also know if you get smashed in the face it will be judges accidental

Playing to win under these circumstances is a huge task

The Huns are probably boring to watch – but they seem methodical

When they score they seem to control the ball and push for a second

    When they get the second

The bore the arse out of the game

it seems like they know their squad is weak so they play to maintain fitness and injury free

But I really do believe (and yes I am paranoid) they know the referee will give them a helping hand when and if needed – the exact opposite of what Celtic players are playing under

This relaxes them and has them playing with confidence knowing if they need help there is a good chance it will come

    It makes a huge difference

For this reason, with our injured squad, I believe we should protect our key players on Sunday and play the team that lined up v Betis Winning on Wednesday v St Mirren is so much more important than beating Hibs on Sunday

Obviously winning both would be brilliant – but prioritise the League

  22. JHB on 15TH DECEMBER 2021 9:06 PM

Well you can’t say it wasn’t coming – five minutes of pressure and we collapse – wouldn’t bet against big White grabbing the winner.

    Lest we forget

Just for the record, myself, all family members and closest mates would rather they didnt exist (as in really didnt exist).

We’d get new rivals and then we’d maybe hope they didnt exist either ;-)

I enjoy doing puzzles Jimmy. Crosswords, Sudoko, Word Puzzles, Jigsaws and Madmitch’s references to current and past players using only their initials. I lead a sad life indeed. Perhaps you could advise me on how I can improve my use of my time and make my life more like your own.

  26. Anyone thinking Ange won’t play the best 11 available on Sunday, has not been paying attention.

Ridiculous idea.A Cup win will give the team an enormous boost.Much needed. What manager or player does not want to win a final?.

  27. Uncle Jimmy @ 11:33

    Yer what?

Please don’t try to school anyone on here about how to treat imposters. There have been plenty of polemical posters on here down the years ; negative anon, the bold paddy and james forrest to name just three but they never resorted to personally insulting our players. Sure, they had a go at Paul Telfer, Lee Naylor, Ross Wallace or whoever but within boundaries and limits. When Neil Lennon, misguidingly, started taking a pop at the players for being unprofessional towards the end of his reign this led to an increase of criticism from our own frustrated support. The footballer James Forrest getting called the Invisible man was symptomatic of this. And as some on here began to show a lack of respect towards our players rhe trolls saw a golden opportunity to strike. Take last night again, Bheaver posts at exactly 1945 that it doesn’t look good tonight. This is followed by a more natural post immediately afterwards.i. e. “Cmmmon Celtic!” Sensing however that Celtic are not the basket case he is portraying us as we hear no more from Bheaver for the rest of the night. May that silence last long.
