  3. There better b a Superbru inaugural wooden spoon for…am guessin WeeBGFC…place yer bets ladies n gentlemen u

    H.H.

  4. Just about calmed down after a most wonderful way to finish a game! After Muir blocked CalMac from getting the ball at the edge of the box, ignoring the County player using both arms to block the shot and awarding a corner instead of a penalty it was sweet justice that we then went on to score the winner in the 97th minute.

Craigan, a bitter Hun hammer thrower as a player and a bitter Hun as a pundit. The nonsense he spewed about the assualt on Starfelt was embarrassing. He has no idea whether the County player ‘had intent’ how could he know? Starfelt was injured, bleeding from an injury and the game should have stopped for treatment. I don’t know what he said to Muir but it was justified. As for the second yellow? It was a foul and a free kick nothing more. On at least 3 occasions Celtic players were fouled after they no longer had the ball, he saw them as he waved play on, no yellows for any of them. Not even one of those cosy chats referees are so fond of having with opposition players after they’ve assualted a Celtic player.

As for some on here posting about Starfelt having to ‘get used to it, it’s the way the game is played in Scotland, man up’ etc. behave yourselves in every other league in world football that’s a free kick, the clearly injured player gets the required treatment, the only decision to be made is it a yellow or red card.

Here’s to the League Cup final!

  5. Gooooood morning all Tim’s around the Globe.

You will be able to tell them this morning as we all will have a big cheesy grin.

Reading back why is it some guys on the blog have never met any other cqners at Hoots, Mini hoots or bletherathon’s, is it a distance thingy? Or ……..

    Anyway onto Sunday we march.

I thought the exuberance of the Celtic support was outstanding last night.

    D :)

  6. Guys,

Can we not celebrate a Celtic win with an amazing last gasp goal without trying to berate and insult fellow posters.

It seems point scoring is more important than the actual game to some.

As for hoots, it was always expressed that they were open to all. I know that was the intention of the master hootsman who now overseas our other channel. A meeting where Celtic supporters of all persuasions could gather cordially and discuss all things Celtic and beyond over a few swallies.

If this has changed then CQN and SC should be told.

HH to all, the journey continues.

  7. Back to Basics - Glass Half Full on

    GERRY123 @ 1:38 AM

If Ross County had scored in the 97th minute would he have complained ?

    ————

    Indeed.

Starfelt treated for a long time.

    Six minutes added.

Another delay in the game after that.

    Ralston scores around 96:03 ?

Getting out there early with “ref helped Celtic” message works.

Pushing against an open door with SMSM.

Otherwise Neilson, Alexander and MacKay wouldn’t do it

  8. Absolutely devastating news from Tasmania where 4 children have died and a further 5 injured (4 critical) when their bouncy castle blew 30 ft in the air. Cannot imagine the parents pain.

  9. despite the best efforts of the referee, we won.

bankier saying that there is nothing we can do about the refereeing in this country was a big mistake. they now feel embolded.

an empty taxi pulled up outside celtic park. the door opened and out stepped bankier and nicholson.

    celtic’s invisible men.

  10. Credit to Matt Bushell on the main BBC sports desk who mentioned a ‘ minor pitch invasion’ – keeping it real

  11. I have seen a few references to Neilson,Hearts, recently.Just to say, after the Ibrox match, his comments brought him a fine and a ban. When asked after the weekends game,he said” I can’t say anything,I will get banned again”.Its not just decisions on the park that take their toll.

  12. Greenpinata @ 06:51 : No! It’s time to flush out the imposters among the posters on here

Every cloud has a silver lining they say and that was the context when Celtic were in the football doldrums last season and new posters appeared on here to take advantage of our despair, to turn on our players and club in a way that was unheard of in the years of CQN. Not only in the daily blogs but in the match updates, demeaning our players, predicting failure and muddying the waters. They thrived when Celtic were on their uppers and they desperately want that to continue. Those of us who esteem GG , MCelt and so many others who kept us up to date on the action in games for so many years can see the phonies from as far away as Bridgeton Cross.

Take last night for example. Imposters like Inquitousiv and An Dun are experts at talking us down, seeding doubts…being ever so wordly in the process when the truth is they are deadbeats. Philboy has been so scunnered by Celtic’s winning streak that he kept a low profile last night, concerned that his jibes would come back to bite him as they always do. Although he was still being feted by a couple of fifth columnists on here as he is one of their their svengalis.

I was glad to hear that Paul 67 has taken measures this week to admonish those imposters on here who seek to divide us. Fierce criticism has always been the norm on here and kudos to Paul for taking it, but when it degenerates into abuse then these imposters show you their true colours and need to be exposed.

  13. Not too disappointed at big Malky’s comments, he’s just protecting himself & his job. He knows better than anyone that when the board shows 6 minutes, it means a minimum of 6 after which the referee exercises his discretion.

  14. GENE on 16TH DECEMBER 2021 8:22 AM

Hope none of the fans Tony embraced after the goal have Covid

    ___________________________________________________________________________________

I doubt even if they did have Covid it would lead to instantaneous transmission to Ralston, where has that ever happened? They embraces for a couple of seconds not 20 minutes

Not too disappointed at big Malky’s comments, he’s just protecting himself & his job. He knows better than anyone that when the board shows 6 minutes, it means a minimum of 6 after which the referee exercises his discretion.

    _____________________________________________________________________

And having watched the referee and his ahem ,decision making does Malky really believe that he would have done Celtic any favours?

  16. I thought we scored a last minute winner

Irrespective of the clock showing 96 mins 3 seconds

How long to treat Carl Starfelt after his assault

Was there not also 5 subs ?

Or does it just sound better saying we scored our winner in 97th minute

PS email from Celticshop @ 06.20, last minute sale to get your items for Christmas 🤣🤣🤣

  17. BBC Site:

” The end-to-end contest looked to have tilted in County’s favour”

This `end to end contest` was not quite reflected in the 75/25 possession nor in the 25/7 shots stats in favour of Celtic.

“County will feel aggrieved at the amount of injury time played,”

Why would they feel aggrieved? Could the seven minutes not have favoured them to win it against ten men?

  18. That Phil Goodlad on Radio Scotland must be a very hurting hun. He quoted Richard Foster as effusively praising the deid team; he failed to quote the same pundit as effusively criticising the MIB in Dingwall for booking Starfelt for being elbowed (as did McFadden, to be fair). Foster also felt Celtic deserved to win and Malky MacKay didn’t really have a leg to stand on with his criticism for the MIB allowing so much injury time.

  19. SOCIAL MEDIA ANGER CONFIRMS A HIDDEN IDENTITY!!!.

    INSTRUCTIONS:

Get yourself a badge, say it is a belief and keep shouting it louder to get noticed. Blame & smear others to deflect.

Others of your ilk will join in and you will believe you are popular.

Cowards only threaten when they feel secure – anonymity is their security- social media their perfect weapon.

  20. GENE

Indeed it’s one of those moments you can never know how you’ll react, players and supporters alike!

  21. Nobody deserves that more than big Tony.Apart from the goal,he had a terrific game.I thought that Juranovic deserved a shot at RB to see what he could do,but it really shows how much Tony has come on,when he deserves the Jersey, before a Croation international.

    Gain yersel Big Yin.

  22. TURKEYBHOY

It says everything about Tony that, as a right-back, he is lurking on the left side of the box and leaps to meet a cross from the right to head home the last gasp winner.
