    Fatal combination of a cheating referee and a Celtic team not up to the task

     

    Which element of the defeat is of greater significance is up to the individual

     

     

    Efe Ambrose being sent of was a shocking decision IMO, it was not deliberate, intentional or a professional foul, the contact was accidental and minimal indeed it is highly debatable if the Ross County forward would have reached the ball before Craig Gordon, no justification for the sending off as far as i am concerned. we cant argue the Penalty award, however i would like to hear Scotlands top referee explain the difference between the yellow card at pittrodie and the red at hampdump, watch video below

    PL cant retire until he’s got his feet under the SFA and UEFA desks, getting a place man is a long game.

     

    PL for SFA president that’s what I say. And maybe he wont liquidate them either which would be a shame.

    The only safe thing to do for Celtic defenders in a situation like yesterday’s penalty/red is to run the opposite way, being careful not to fart in order to avoid receiving a card for ungentlemanly conduct.

    Spoke, separately, to five Tims at work this morning.

     

     

    A couple were at the game the rest had watched it on the box.

     

     

    All were agreed on two things:

     

     

    1) This team has no fight

     

     

    2) Deila must now go

     

     

    BTW, before Ambrose was sent off, he should have been on a hat-trick. To me his missing of those two gilt edged chances was as bad as giving Thomson the opportunity to send him off.

    Biggest problem was not clear foul on keeper.

     

    It was two free headers that Ross County took full advantage of.

     

    Hard truth is that defensively Celtic are crap.

    It’s hard to believe that one BBC commentator actually said there was so much wrestling going on in the box it was hard for the referee to see the ‘keeper being held. Even if that was true, wrestling is against the rules. The referee is there to apply the rules, that means to blow his whistle and stop the wrestling. This laddie failed again.

    Surely questions should be asked about PL and the PLC.

     

    What the flying feck are they playing at.

     

    These people have put themselves in front of Celtic.

     

    Its about how much money you can get.

     

    But its obvious that you cannot just ignore the wishes of the supporters.

     

    The PLC need to take responsibility for this shambles.

     

    Everybody else has to take responsibility in their lives…Why not the Celtic PLC.

    what sort of tosh is that, players miss chances all the time, including strikers, I think you just don’t like Efe, in fact going by your previous criticism of him, I know you don’t like him, so anything you have to say on him is best ignored, you can not be objective on him as many on here have shown, Lustig put Efe in the shite and Efe gets the dogs abuse for trying to dig his captain out the shite, typically those who already have it in for Efe will never be able to see anyone else make mistakes as long as Efe is on the shit end of the stick, think Samars.

    If we all agree that having a team full of boys that we’ve developed ourselves is ultimately a good idea (and some maybe don’t that’s fine).

     

     

    How long do you think that takes to get going? I’d say at least 5 years, starting from where we were when RD arrived.

    Charlie Richmond was a top grade SPL and FIFA referee. He made no honest blunders that I can remember. Yes he did make mistakes, but they seemed to even out over time, which is what real honest mistakes do.

     

     

    He retired aged thirty two or so, after being given few top matches to control. He later revealed that he had been quietly told by a refereeing functionary at the SFA that he didn’t join in things with fellow referees. That therefore he wasn’t one of the good ol’ boys, hence his exclusion. Charlie has remained tight lipped ever since.

     

     

    His story would be interesting. I wonder what “activities” he refrained from joining.

    i will say it now the squad as it stands wont get us into group stages of champions league

    The foul was blatant in its manner and was not hidden from view, shocking punditry such as pushing goes in the box and the referee cant be expected to see everything is complete and utter pash from an a******* of a pundit as Paul Hartley clearly demonstrated last week, the whistle should have been blown and IMO anywhere else in the professional world of football it would have been a foul

    the penalty incident was down to him sleeping and efe having to react to it.

    We will qualify for the CL next year with a decent draw.

     

     

    We will still do the double.

     

     

    We lost yesterday was because we gave Craig Thompson the opportunity to decide the game.

     

     

    We don’t win trebles is because they put more obstacles in the way.

     

     

    It will be all the more sweeter the next time we do it (next year perhaps?)

     

     

    I think next year will be the year we see Ronny’s efforts come to fruition.

    Griff got the ball, knocked the ball to the otherside of the defender, gets round him and got a shot off. The Staggies defender had a handful of Griffs jersey but he didn’t go down and got his shot off.

    I agree the defense were posted missing when the ball was headed back to the RC player BUT as lionroars67 says the foul on the keeper is so blatant that the referee should have blown for a freekick before the ball reaches the RC player.

     

    If only we had referees not working to a set agenda.

    Thanks for that link. I guess it’s too easy to say one more deserving a red was a yellow, whilst the one more deserving of a yellow was a red. From the same referee.

     

     

    As for those now slating defending at the corner. Really. Have you not been reading the stats at defending corners. I’m not going to resurrect them. Suffice to say, we don’t lose many, domestically.

     

     

    And remember the keeper is one of those who defends the corner. But he was being held. With two arms round him. He would easily have saved the second header. IMO.

    My mate,lives in Essex now,is a ref in the local leagues. Loves it. He’s in his mid-50s and it’s a hobby to him.

     

     

    He’s 6’4″ so takes little or no crap!

     

     

    I so wish he had taken up the whistle in his early days and gone through the ranks wi the SFA. Wi his background,he’d have been a Grade 1 shoo-in,no problem

     

     

    School,religion,the lot. Ticking the boxes.

     

     

    I’m sure the Masonic bassas would have appreciated the irony of his conversion to über-TIM being a secret!

    On that performance yesterday, you would have to say that most Scottish teams, would have a decent chance of beating us.

     

    We cant even be sure of beating Ross County, never mind anybody else.

     

    Now…Id suggest that far from good enough.
