Firstly Celtic were not at their best today. Too slack for long spells but had done enough to win.
The dive is the biggest dive of the season. Worse than the one Walker got because that at least looked to the naked eye as if some kind of contact may have taken place in one look.
This one was not even close.
Schalk is a cheat and should be at Hampeden for a ban this week.
Broonie should not have dived in and that is no more of a red card than OBrien on Tierney.
Celtic must appeal.
Does it put him out of the semi or the following league match? Doesn’t it depend if the ref deems it as violent conduct or not?
I thought cup games were separate unless it was for violent conduct?
Surely Celtic will appeal Broonie’s red card and he’ll be able to play in both of these games.

You just know the refs will be high diving each other all week at their wee training sessions all week. Their next job is to get their heroes through against us next week. Their task is set. Mr Dallas expects.
What we learned today. 1 Paddy has to start next week a far superior player to James F. 2 Refs in Scotland can act outwith the rules of the game with impunity. They know that there will be no action taken against them by the Scottish games ruling body. 3 As long as we are successful the ‘dodgy decisions against us will continue to mount. 4 Scott Browns’ red card is evidence why Celtic players more often that not do not retaliate when booted all over the park. The other team’s player gets away with a wee word of caution or a yellow for a bad tackle but if a Celtic player commits a similar tackle it’s straight red. Our players and management are wise to this.
