  1. Tell you this – if you think Broon’s tackle was anything more than a yellow you ain’t played football, let alone watched it long enough.

That HUN Robertson had the red in his fingers before the RC player hit the deck – couldn’t wait to send off the Celtic skipper, compounding his penalty debacle – we witnessed the Scottish Referee’s eqivalent of the multiple orgasm this afternoon.

    Ten in a row.

Will sicken them beyond anything we can actually imagine. I can’t wait.

Days like today wake the team up – smash those Hun urchins into oblivion next week. The thought of Robertson, Madden, Dallas, Damien Dallas, and their ilk vomiting into their commemorative William of Orange basins should be motivation enough.

Corrupt, servile, soulless, guileless, vacuous, nipple-bearing, goat-pumping, defferential, spineless, gutless cheating scum.

  2. Brendan is a shrewd operator. He will plan his Media duties this week meticulously. Personally, i would talk the Hun and Pedro up to the extent that they think they are Barcafeckinglona. Then pummel them.

    Hammer them Celtic.

Well done Stuart Armstrong just noticed him backing his captain up

Weebobbycollins 10.15pm that’s what the blog is all about, much prefer that than some of the nasty stuff :-)

  5. I really hope Brendan and the players realise what’s going on. We are on the route to a treble, an invincible season, and ten in a row.

Those of us who have been around the block know the implications of this on the Hun mentality. It is kryptonite to them.

We simply must beat the refs in the following 8 games as well as our opponents.

Hmm, i don’t know if i like him in the deeper lying position where he has played the last two weeks. He’s given the ball away a fair bit. Prefer to see him in the no10 role going beyond the striker.

  8. If I was cheating someone I’d be delighted for them to be apathetic!

    Wee poll:

    Celtic PLC

    a) apathetic towards cheating

    or

    b) ardent in their work to fight the cheating?

Stuart got involved in defence of Broony put on his erse fae Naismith. Big Jozo then came in and a few of the RC players saw sense. Oor big Croat has a reputation for nae nonsense. :)

  10. I will try to word this carefully since … a) it’s a bit fractious on here at the moment and b) last time I tried to express this thought I got into a needless spat with philbhoy which I think was an argument between teo people not hearing each other properly.

We are unbeaten domestically after 33 league fixtures, 4 LC ties and 3 SC ties, 40 games in total. We face 5 more league fixtures and, we hope, 2 more cup ties to enjoy a 47 game unbeaten domestic record.

For me, that is an incredible record and one which I did not expect to see last this long. I would still put it as odds against that we will finish as 47 unbeaten but we are so close now that it is a reachable event whereas before it seemed, to me at least, an unrealistic target.

Any team that achieves it deserves our full respect, even the players we do not rate (current scapegoats like Erik and Callum have played 39 times each this season and perennial scapegoat James Forrest has 41 appearances) have contributed masively to this achievement.

I would not argue that they are above criticism but I would say they should demand more respect and credit than they are being given, even the ones that I don’t particularly favour.

In amongst all the rubbish and heartache that life throws at all of us (my own viewing circumstances for this game were poignant and private ones I cannot talk about) but Celtic are giving me joy just now. How much better does it have to be than unbeaten and on route and very close to a treble?

Even if this team fails, they will get a cheer from me for what has been a remarkable season so far.

And if they achieve the unbeaten domestic season, then they should be seen as, collectively, providing us with one of our finest years. It isn’t a Lisbon 67, and it isn’t either a Milan 70 or a Seville 03 year but it is, still, a mighty fine amd memorable season.

My post was more about Stuart getting in about it, his football ability is obvious but today I think that’s a wee bit more than we have saw of Stuart….. I just think that’s more about his confidence than anything else ….. Might sound petty but I think it’s just a natural progression at any level, half the battle is believing you are good enough and not just being good enough

  12. Celtic will be so up for this Sevco game.

    Brendan even more so.

The sooner Sky gets to f*ck out of Scottish fitba the better.

Today will be a blessing in disguise, of that I’m sure.

Paddy should start next week, he will exorcise a haunting Time.

Dembers will be up for it, that is certain.

Also noticed Jozo getting involved, I know it sounds childish but every single player should be in there, my point was, a few months back Stuart might have just sat back until things calmed down, having a wee nasty streak will make Stuart an even better player and the Bhoy can play

  15. SFTB,

It is understandable that some players have maybe looked a bit jaded. As you say, their contributions to what is an exceptional effort, can’t just be put to the side.

Brendan will have his best Team out there next week.

The efforts by all the players this season has been so Wonderful.

Great post as usual but Celtic and the fans have been sleepwalking into the semifinal for the last month, once we won the league we’ve not tried a leg.

You can’t just turn form on and off like a switch, we aren’t a form team at the moment.

I think that going undefeated domestically would be amongst celtic’s greatest achievements… very few teams in football have achieved it (I recall arsenal, juve, steau … I am sure there are others.. but it must be a pretty select group)

I am really hoping they can pull it off.

  24. The Huddle .

I disagree with you that the team hasn’t tried a leg since winning the league .

The focus and intensity perhaps . Which happens when the main objective ( the league ) has been achieved . The players are human beings , not machines and not lazy . IMO. HH

  25. Folks, chance for Broony to lay down a marker. Forthcoming Scotland game against England, pull out and say thanks but no thanks SFA and give today as an example of why. Why should Celtic help or facilitate the same SFA who cheat us at every opportunity.

The same team will struggle in the semi final because they’ve shut off for the season, they ain’t on the A game.

You will now say this won’t happen we’ll win 4 nil cos we are great :o)

We may end up as “just another double winning team” but we will still have been nearer to the longest undefeated treble than any of those other teams.

P.S. I don’t think we are turning form on and off- we are being actually tested by our manager- new formations and new players with rotation being based on more than mere form.

Brendan could have made it easier for us to do this final stretch but he chose to not make it “easy”. He is testing and developing these players with more than just this year in mind

  30. Like others, I am concerned that since winning the league we have lacked ruthlessness and focus. This, I feel, is inevitable – it happens to plenty of teams in our situation.

However, next weekend will be tough. They remain a desperately poor side but they are energetic again, and will have the officials on their side. They will be up for it.

    Will we?

From Brendan’s Celtic TV IV, I have to say he looked absolutely furious. Also revealing that he referred to “some really bad calls” he’s seen since he arrived here (first time he’s mentioned this). I really hope we use today’s fiasco as a motivation. Every player must be 100% committed to his cause, and that of his team-mates.

Celebration time is over. It’s back to work.

Richard Gordon asks Pat Bonnar (ex-Celt ???) about the penalty decision, Pat goes on to slaughter Scott Brown….again, again and again

I have been wrong many a time, but did Tommy Burns not take a young Jim macIntyre to Reading ?

  33. Brad McKay sums up Scottish football’s attitude towards us.

The clown currently plays with Inverness, big rivals of Ross Country.

County’s point today makes it more probable that Inverness will be relegated, but rather than be outraged at a decision that could affect his livelihood he is happy to have a pop at Celtic, with a tweet saying what comes around and going on about a pen John Guidetti was awarded at Tynecastle in 2014. What a pathetic man.

Thank you for a fabulous post. Some of the scapegoating that goes on here is very unfair, in my opinion . A lovely balanced post.
