Also not advocating we play without a keeper but assuming Gordon, Broonie and Armstrong already pencilled in.

It’s reckless and foolish in my opinion. Never mind anything else Gerry, the tackle itself has put us in a situation.

Personally, I think it merited a yellow.

Yes,we all thought the same, but it was a “Red”.Reckless is not a “Red card”.No studs shown, did not leave the ground, etc. The excuse was,”It was the speed”Utter bollox.

Would love to see the stats on JF and PR

I personally think the stats would favour PR ?

I do not hide the fact I do not rate McGregor

He has been given more game time since league has been won ( full games) –

Again I think we would get more from LH, or RC had he still been with us

Only passing my opinion, and not asking for full scale changes

Erik has been poor for several weeks, Brendan also appears to have picked up on this :-))

I will back Brendan’s choices and support the team as picked

Why not call them out last week – or the week before, or the week before that.

We stayed stume ( publicly ) when there was an attempted assault on Scott Sinclair

in the very first game of the season.

Oh wait, a minute…………………… it happened again last weekend.

I blame Celtic, and Celtic alone for the continual public ‘dingies’, a statement is no use, we action

now in fact we want action tonight…………………….man the Car Park.

Is it only when Celtic are dominant that the ‘honest mistakes’ start ? …..is it a pathetic / biased/ bigoted attempt to destabilise …?

    ………………………………..

    Absolutely agree HT.

The Catholic Church is not the buildings, it’s not the priests or the Bishops. It’s not even the Pope. It is US the Laity. We are the Catholic Church. Dare I say it? The People. There is no doubt that we have been let down by some of our priests, bishops, cardinals and even a Pope who refused to investigate these criminals. However, the detractors do a disservice to the hundreds of thousands of honest priests who have dedicated their lives to us and the Church without fault, in trying circumstances. Many of these priests are under daily attack in their presbyteries, in the streets and on public transport. The offenders are criminals, pure and simple, and should be dealt with as such. They abused their positions of trust but let’s not judge the thousands of good living priests we have with the same yardstick. They have dedicated their lives to their congregations and deserve our whole-hearted support.

Having said all of this I respect every individual’s right to follow their own beliefs. However, I would ask all former Catholics not to tarnish all of our priests with the same brush a a much smaller criminal minority. For those who still hold true to the Catholic Church I would urge them to, without trivialising the phrase,

    Keep The Faith.

  7. Ryan Christie has played 10 times for Aberdeen since joining them on loan. 6 of these from the bench. He has scored 3 goals.

I don’t see him getting much benefit from sitting on the bench for Aberdeen. He may have had as much, maybe more gametime , if he’d stayed with us, given the injuries we’ve had.

  8. COWIEBHOY

Don’t disagree with any of that.

Callum isn’t really a wide player, thats why he got moved back inside when Rogic went off.

James Forrest gets selected regardless of who the Celtic manager is and remains the subject of

‘debate’ regardless of whom the supporters are.

Erik lost his place in the side after the famous Sevco draw, and was back today because Lustig was

unfit and we switched to a back three. I think he’s better in a four.

  9. 67Heaven .. CHALLENGING THE LIE ..I am wee Oscar...... Ipox belongs to the creditors on

We don’t need the Celtic Board to come out and formally complain, citing all the evidence of this season alone…..the SFA / SPFL will deal with this, just like they have always done …. hahahahahahaha

BRENDAN ….. YOU CAME, YOU SAW, AND YOU CONQUERED ….!!!!

  10. The remarkably good thing about todays double cheat (player and officials) is the timely reminder that being 1 goal up is not enough – we can get through the season unbeaten in domestic competition but its really difficult in the circumstances; there will be a lot of officials out there mad keen to spoil the party…. would be awesome to put them in their place

  11. With reference to what do Celtic do debate. We have to call the cheats out. If you act like a carpet you have to expect to be walked on.

I would start with the difference in how Robertson treated not only the O Brien tackle on Tierney today but also his yellow for the tackle on Tierney in the Murderwell game and the yellow for Joe Swash in Huns game v Hamilton.

There is not a doubt in anyone’s mind that we are reffed differently and there is plenty of evidence to attest to that fact. We are also aware of why that is the case and we need to use this to demand video reffing of controversial incidents. FFS what other association in the world would allow a season ticket holder of one club to officiate in a game against their bitter rivals. Would this happen Madrid v Barca, Gala v Fernabache, Inter v AC, Roma v Lazio et al?????

Better to light a candle than complain about the dark.

    HH

  12. ....PFayr ..SACK THE BOARD on

    Bsr

I’d call them out every time

    Today

Robertson is either incompetent or biased …neither is an acceptable trait

But they need to know we won’t take it quietly

  13. Broony will never have the Cellic cuteness…..imho.

Broony has been at CP for ten years and yet, he still didn’t realize that, the Cellic players are governed by – different rules!

Ah mean, down to his own selfishness, he has just done to Brendan what he did to Neil Lennon a few years ago vs FC Barcelona at CP when he put the importance of the Cellic team secondary, whilst he pursued his own agenda in bringing down Neymar, at the “third” attempt as Neymar raced in on goal.

Indeed, it was ironic that Barry Robson was in the TV studio today.

Ye see, if Broony hadn’t been suspended in the run in and, replaced by B.Robson in season 2007/08 well, WGS wouldn’t have won 3 in row…..imho.

Also, see all of these hauf baked MIBs that are on the scene, they’re products of Dallas’s fast tracking environment.

But, but, but, but……..Don’t blame Dallas, no no,…..not him.

To blame him would be to take the easy way oot.

The blame should be left at the door of those who chose to look the other way as the, just dismissed for distributing anti Catholic emails, Hugh Dallas was ‘strangely’ appointed to an influential position with UEFA ?!?!?

So, the mystery for me has always been – why didn’t Celtic FC complain to UEFA about the appointment of Dallas ?

    Cowardice ?

    Complicity ?

Ye see, by they’re silence, Celtic FC have, willingly or, unwillingly, helped to conceal Dallas’s sacking from UEFA ?!?!?

    Stinks, eh ?

Bottom line is……anybody who thinks that, Celtic FC is run by snowmen…..is a Dafty!

How can ye sort the MIBs when, those who appoint the MIBs know that,Celtic FC will look the other way ?

    Anyway,….

    Thoughts an Prayers for all

    Supporters of Glasgow Celtic.

    ………off-oot.

I’ve defended Broonie to the hilt, as i said at the time i would have smashed Boyce or Shalk had the chance presented itself. I have no qualms with what he did. It was a red card though. If the shoe was on the other foot we would all have been roaring for a red card.

  15. STARRY PLOUGH on 16TH APRIL 2017 8:05 PM,

Liam Henderson has not been much favoured by a few managers.Even at Hibs last year he was not an automatic choice.the boy has stamina problems, usually subbed in the second half.An average player, nothing else.Who would you drop to play him>Broony,Armstrong,.He is now well down the pecking order with Eboue on the scene.Hibs would suit him well enough.I think thats his level.CL certainly is not.

    Christie,i would give another year,who knows.Not confident,but deserves a chance.Henderson has had his.

    Turkeybhoy

It was not a “Red card”.Yellow would have been suffice.Maybe we would have been yelling for a Red,but how many times have we to see ,nothing or a yellow being shown. There were as bad tackles in the game that went unpunished. The same referee let the tackle on KT go.You remember that beauty?.Remember the tackle that put Rogic out for three months?.As I said, the excuse for the Red was”It was the speed of Brown”Utter bollox.

  17. Cowiebhoy

I don’t think LH has a future, he looks like he could end up at Hibs, Lenny will want him, Kris Commons and Efe Ambrose there next season. I also think our own Eoghan O’Connell would be a good fit for Hibs next season on a season long loan. I’m leaning towards bringing in John McGinn, we could use LH as leverage in any deal. Wee McGinn doesn’t put up with any shi*e and having had a look at Kouassi he doesn’t look like a destroyer, more a ball player although he is getting up to speed and that may change. RC has genuine quality and i would definitely keep.

  18. The was it red or was it yellow debate is a deflection for what caused Scott Brown to react the way he did.

BR has already backed the player publicly beats me why supporters want to blame him, for having a temper

that the man in the moon already knew about, and that he’s handled exceptionally well, given his disciplinary record.

The SFA and not this particular cheating player are the root cause.

Yet again I never disagree, I have a funny feeling that Brendan isn’t for sitting back and letting the media and the refs get away with cheating his players…… Am not going to slag the board, their job is to keep the club operating, and in many businesses am sure not everybody plays by the rules…just survive

Brendan has experienced the EPL and I am sure even though he is a Celtic fan his eyes are being opened, and as any good manager he knows he will be judged on how his players perform

Brenda has had a few opportunities so far this season to call out the refs yet hadn’t said anything until today, I’ve been surprised at how passive he’s been until today.

  29. It is all very well that all of us are disappointed with the penalty decision but no one will be more gutted than Don Robertson himself.

I say this on behalf of Stuart Dougal, Craig Thomson, Kenny Clarke, Andrew Waddell, RH Davidson, etc.

  30. Broony getting stick from some because he is a diehard Celtic player.Total commitment to the cause.Best captain since Roy Aitken.Cut from the same mould.Unflinching, unbowed,Wears his heart on his sleeve.

Give me 10 Broonys on the park all day long. The boy lives and breathes Celtic.Like Lenny,he is an easy target for the “Haters”.We dont need Celtic fans backing them up.

  32. Just on the point about Paddy Roberts and James Forrest, would Paddy have the success he has when he comes on if James hadn’t already run the legs off and the heart out of the opposition defence?

It’s a cumulative effect, James runs at them, tires them, both physically and mentally, then Paddy comes on and finishes them off, if James hasn’t already done so.

That Ref today was a cheat. Two decisions that he was happy to give.

There were others he didn’t give, when Boyce went through Brown, nothing.

Anyone but Celtic! A film well worth seeing if you get the chance.

I can’t imagine he will allow blatant cheating to pass without comment

I’m expecting him to subtly apply pressure through his various media duties this week

  34. By the way, brown should have kept the head. However, not only did the penalty debacle raise temperatures but he was kicked several times in its immediate aftermath. Never mind some of the industrial tackles on our players throughout.

Failure of refs to protect our players is an issue that will create problems. Always has.
