Samaras astonishing journey

557

Georgios Samaras journey over the last twelve months has been astonishing.  The player was subject to treatment by those who enjoying booing at the football and suffered the indignity of being subject to an exchange at last year’s AGM which must have made it difficult to rebuild confidence and form.

Now he is the most effective man in the team.  He was involved in six out of Celtic’s eight Champions League qualifier goals.  He has found his position, wide on the left, where he scores and creates more goals than he ever did as part of a forward two.  The space on the wing allows those long legs to stretch and get behind defenders.

I’m not paying too much attention to the scare stories which emerged from Latvia last night following his elbow injury, we will need to wait on the results of a scan to know the extent of the damage, but there is modest alarm ahead of our opening Champions League group game against Benfica in 11 days.

  1. A Ceiler Gonof Rust on

I posted a link the other night of Rod and Amy Bell at the SECC. The legend is that Rod was walking about Glasgow and spotted Amy busking somewhere up near the Buchanan Galleries. Apparently Amy is a hun.

No surprise there then, a hun looking for a handout and begging on the streets of our country’s finest city. Just a pity that more huns own flutes than guitars.

She is a wee honey though and she scrubs up quite well :_)

Saw an article in the Evening Times the other night, regarding a picture of AB busking in the streets of Glasgow.

I didn’t know this about her. And I didn’t know that Rod plucked her from obscurity to singing with him in concert.

I always remember her singing with Rod, ‘ I don’t want to talk about it’ in that concert he done for ITV.

She’s parterned up with some other girl now, still trying to make it big in the music idustry.

ScotsPatFan, It was a big deal at the time. Rod bringing someone off the street to sing with him at the SECC. She’s blatantly extremely talented, extremely fit, and very very pleasing on the eye.

But, FFS a hun? Rod could have looked harder. What’s wrong with him picking ups some munter from Bairds?

  5. Pizza was a Bollywood Special.

Chicken Donner, spicy beef, red onion, green peppers, tomato and green chilli.

Young Ceiler posted his first ever sub 70 round today. The wee man shot 69 gross over the Buddon course at Carnoustie, including 3 three putts.

Me? I lost five balls on the front nine. I did shoot 35 on the back nine. Young C shot 34/35.

In a strong wind too. I love that young Ceiler, he makes his dad so proud.

Now I know he is a murderous sociopath, but really?

Who could put up with her?

  11. Gutted for sammi. This was his time to be a hero. Gutted for Celtic as in the first 2 games, especially Moscow he could be so important as an out ball .

A real shame as I would love to see him prove the pathetic moaning ‘sheep’ who bleat at CP wrong.

They will have to find someone else to vent at and try to Break.

Sammi like Murray last night showing great mental toughness.
