SFA finally acknowledge Rangers EBT issue

1494

Stewart Regan today gave a welcome update on the SFA’s on-going investigation into Rangers.  In response to Hugh Adam’s comments in today’s Daily Mail, Regan said:

“We are, however, aware of the most recent allegations made against Rangers FC today by a former director of the club. We shall investigate this matter thoroughly before making any further comment.”

SFA president, Campell Ogilvie, was general secretary and director of Rangers from 1978 until 2005. News broke about HMRC’s dispute over Rangers Employment Benefit Trust in 2010, you knew then, I knew then, the SFA knew then, but Ogilvie was subsequently elevated to the role of SFA president in 2011.  He is still on the SFA board.

We have waited almost two years the hear the SFA would investigate this matter. Now, with all the old certainties crumbling down around them, they realise they must act.

Can I be the first to congratulate Dundee FC on winning the Scottish Cup in 2003.

Right Bhoys another serious ? Would you rather win title at ibrox or parkhead against St.Johnstone?

    ————————————————————

    Good question.

It would be great to win it at Ibrokes, but if that’s not possible winning the league at home v St Johnstone would mirror our previous historic and unforgettable win and let the fans safely enjoy our celebrations. Either way happy days all round!

You are most probably right and that is purely the fault of the Criminals who ran that club the way they did. It is just more exposure of what that club really is all about.

    Bottom Line – Cheaters

They will cheat at everything and anything to be what they are.

This is not only Rangers we are talking about here, it is the SFA every bit it is Rangers. Rangers are nailed, it is time to concentrate fully on the SFA.

  3. Let’s keep up the pressure and the heel on the throat, just in case anyone, journos, huns, lurking media, think we are all smug in our beds, there’s still a long fight ahead and we have the stomach for the fight, fathers, cousins, uncles, grandparents all fought for the

end of days, let’s go full throttle with the new media. HH

If I may be excused an amble through the wilderness that is my mind… I’m gonnie get all sorts of shit for this

When this all blows over, many years from now, we’re going to need to – as a society – address an issue.

What is to be done with “the peepul”. And before anybody thinks thats patronising, I would add that there are a few – only a few – of our own I would classify with that mindset. We’ve all seen the odd post on here which testifies to that.

Bigotry, in the beginning and the end, is born of ignorance; a lack of education. I wouldn’t claim to be the most educated person on the planet, or this blog, but I know that you don’t shout your mouth off about something until you’ve at least read the subject in detail, and from authors who take opposing viewpoints.

Hard as it sounds, given a different upbringing and a different focal point, these people would be mates – rivals, but mates. The environment forms the man. They’ve been mugged, and they’ve allowed themselves to be. They’ve been brought up with ingrained prejudices, and haven’t been able to think themselves free of these.

There needs to be a change in this society, and a radical one. There needs to be recognition of an embedded mindset, and educational initiatives put in place to address it. As an atheist, I’m more than comfortable in saying the problem isn’t with Catholic Schools – thats just a focus and excuse for bigotry; there isn’t the slimmest of veils over that.

The problem is a lack of recognition of the true history of the people of this country, the impact of Irish immigration, and the lack of will to teach this in state schools.

I’ll rejoice in the demise of that club, not just because of the arrogance, hypocrisy, and bile associated with it, but because it is a magnet and focal point for much that is wrong with Scottish society.

We need to get back to a common humanity in this country – there is no banter, just disguised poison.

Good evening fine bhoys and ghirls of CQN. I have not posted for a while as others posters have said pretty much everything i wanted to say before i’ve had the chance to cobble together my thoughts into something resembling a coherent train of thought other than ‘stupid huns grrrrr!’ I have read just about every post these past couple of years and feel compelled to chip in with a sincere thank you to Paul67 and all the regular posters for a fantastic site which is my first port of call in the morning and my constant source of news and views concerning celtic.

The events of the past few weeks have been incredible! Had it not been for the relentless pursuit of the truth from this site, the RTC blog and Phil Mac we would still be in a position where we knew we were being cheated but did not have anything tangible to utilise as proof.

We now know that we were not ‘paranoid’, that the dice were loaded against us for years.

Anyhoo enough of my yacking, I just want to say thanks to all for a great site where the true spirit of the celtic family can be seen in the amazing charitable gestures made, in particular the last few weeks where the amount raised toward the Vanessa Riddle Appeal has been phenomenal!

Here’s to the treble and to the fact that you can NEVER have enough jelly and ice cream.

There is no bad answer as well. :)

I have bought tickets for the St J game for me and the wee man, even though he might be playing that morning but there is no way I was gonna miss out after the Hearts game and deflation before, win win this time.

That being said, I think it would be much better to Win it there at the home of hatred and do it with much Love. The away support has led the way and I’m sure the Excellent Home Support will fully understand if we decide to do it there. ;)

    It’s a major point.

It can be talked about, and seminars can be plentiful.

The real start is removing the vehicles.

That’s what’s happening here. We’ll never really know what goes on in the backgrounds, in the murky undercurrents of polticics et al.

But when you see it from that point of view, it’s clear a battle has been going on, and they’re losing.

But I don’t see a romantic notion of someone pulling these strings. I see the bigger issues being covered up by the demise of the huns for the benefit of murkier issues. And SDM and Alex Salmond know all about that.

  19. Truly amazing match tonight in Portugal from 2 great teams. Wonder goals, good saves, red card, incredible atmosphere in the stadium. ex-Celtic target Janko was in good form for Benfica – a real quality forward. Also cardoso – who tore us apart in Lisbon. 2 big formidable goalscorers. For Porto, Hulk is simply devastating, and one of the best players in the world IMO.

  20. I could see why a lot of fans want to win it at ibrox, i remember walking out of Hampden when we lost final to them, listening to them sing and rub it in was a bad feeling.

I remember walking out of Hampden when we beat them 3-1 in a league game. The polis did nothing to contain their ugly hoardes, although to be fair, they were’nt particularly large in number. But they were no less unpleasant then.
