SFO, IPO, hell will freeze before SFA act

1068

An appropriate course of action when you are the chairman or a non-executive director of a PLC when a fellow director and, until last week, chief executive, has been reported to the Serious Fraud Office for matters in connection with the company, would be to immediately contact the accuser asking for full and immediate disclosure of information which could materially affect investors and the company’s trading position.

The “compelling evidence that Messrs Green and Ahmad received a letter before claim in December 2012, having received previous correspondence, and chose to ignore it” sounds like a signed-for receipt.  If this was received before 22 December, the date of Rangers International FC PLC’s IPO, it is of critical importance that the board ask for sight of the evidence, irrespective of what Mr Green says about its existence.

This season’s Third Division has nine days to run and it would inconvenience many if these matters were brought to a head before then, but the duty of directors is clear; they cannot postpone attending to the interests of investors until after the football season.

Lawyers acting for RIFC PLC should politely request full disclosure from the other party, without delay.

Some in the SFA may be tempted to attempt another Grand Plan to prepare for and accommodate and almighty collapse at one club.  Grand Plans don’t work in these circumstances; the last one led to the current Lawyers at Dawn scenario.

We await the SFA acting in relation to RIFC PLC’s claim that Sevco 5088 Ltd, a company Craig Whyte is a registered director of, is part of their group.  This is in direct contradiction to an earlier representation made to the SFA, and breaks a condition of their membership of the Association.

Current SFA president, Campbell Ogilvie, is a former Rangers director.  My prediction is that hell will freeze over before he allows the SFA to act on this matter.  The SFA shall wilfully ignore its own rules.

They would have told people on the letter that they have received telling of the seat change if the price was going to be hiked.

They would need to give you the option, It would be the first time that I have ever heard of that they change you and charge you more.

‘Can someone please tell me what “pacific shelfer” is reference to? I have seen some Sevco fans use it.’

It’s a term used to refer to us by that section of the hun support who don’t understand company law (that’s about 99.99999999999999% of them at the last count)* who think that because Celtic changed from a ltd to a plc that we are in some way on a par with the huns being liquidated.

The 0.00000000000001% includes Whyte, Green and Minty and I’m not sure they are all really huns, so the figure might not be entirely accurate.

    Faithful.

    They walk, we march.

    They’re staunch, we’re devout.

  5. If you are moving any group of fans then move the bottom 10 rows. They get soaked everytime it rains. Fill the upper tiers first.

    Or is that too simple?

  6. Thanks ernie lynch for explanation. Still don’t get how they get that name from the explanation?

Fair enough all I,m saying is why not wait and see what seats are available before condeming the club .As you have seen this season I don,t think finding 5 srats together will be a problem.

I am also convinced that if you are looking to buy 5 STs and tell the club you won,t be doing so because you are unhappy with the alternative seats they wont be hard to deal with

Palliative radiotherapy starts tomorrow: 12 daily sessions. Then the chemotherapy mob will look at it again, but have been emphatically told that all I must expect is an extension of time.

Suddenly, time seems the most precious commodity of all.

This is how it is for everyone. Much worse things happen to others; some have much better.

I am where I am, and I just have to get on with it and remain in light.

The off the shelf company used in the formation of the plc was called Pacific shelf.

You have to assume that whoever came up with the name pacific shelf for an off the shelf company was wasted doing company formations.

    Brilliant just brilliant !!!!!!

Good to see you posting miki hope your doing well mate

  12. Been sitting in the same seat for 17yrs you start to think of it as our own. You get used to who is around you, might end up sitting next to right pain in the ass. The letter is very vague as to the reason only saying they are looking at a reconfiguration of seating and then say the good news is that it is a fantastic opportunity to move to a better seat. I don’t want a new seat.

    Mick

  13. Guys I posted above the wording of the letter regarding people ‘ being TOLD their moving from their seat’

    Here it is again…

“If we have not heard from you by 12noon on Tuesday 5th June, we will automatically relocate you to the best seat available and we will send you details of your new seat, together with your new payment schedule on 6th June”

Now to me that reads that if the price has increased (or decreased..unlikely) then you will pay the new price.

My seat at the moment is one of the cheapest in the stadium, its £50 discount for restricted view.

If my new seat goes up, also losing the £50, then I expect to be paying over £100 more for my new seat…that I don’t want.

  14. No way will there be cash turnstiles at Parkhead.

Firstly, the polis would never permit it and secondly, the Celtic board would never do anything that might have a negative effect on ST sales.

  15. Incredible that this is happening under the (blue?) noses of the SFA and they remain silent. except to say they need more clarification from the perpetrators themselves, a farcical attitude at best, and a totally corrupt way of dragging the case on until it becomes so confusing and laughable, that little will be done in the way of proper justice and honesty once again.

If this was any other club, action would have been taken long ago, it all stinks to high heaven.

All the other member clubs should now voice their opinions on this fiasco, and Celtic (Peter Lawell) should lead the way, its time to stop being politically correct anymore just because its the manky mob, time to get the truth out in the open, and speak out, the truth is all that matters anymore, or else we can just carry on as we have for the last century or so, with the cheating and corrupt practices as before.

Its now time for stout hearts, and leadership, as that will not be forth comeing when we have the corrupt, weak and over friendly to the accused, as we have in the SFA.

And if there is no one outside in FiFa who will take action then WE have to clean up our own backyard.

It has now become time for CELTIC to lead the way, silence is not a option anymore.

Can someone please tell me what “pacific shelfer” is reference to? I have seen some Sevco fans use it.

Dear Lord! Are they still at it?

The answer to your question is that huns and sevconians are very stupid people.

They’re trying to use whataboutery with regards to us calling them SevcoFC.

It’s all about Fergus in 1994 when we changed our company name to Celtic PLC from The Celtic Football And Athletic Company Ltd.

We had to change it because we were no longer a limited company.

The same day he changed the company name, he created a new company with the name Pacific Shelf 595 Ltd. (An off the shelf name as is Sevco)

He then changed this name to ‘The Celtic Football And Athletic Company Ltd’.

The reason he did this, clever chap that he was, was to stop anyone else using our former name and also to protect the rights associated with our former name.

  20. For those who aren’t sure about the new seats, you can make an appointment with the TO and go have a look ate your seats. Last year I just went in, it wasn’t busy and Eammon(spelling) took me to look at a couple of different seats.

Might help you decide if you can get along to the Park.

Lot of huns on here tonight worried about where the 40, 000 plus Celtic supporters will be sitting next season.

    Sad sad people.

Luckily they will have no problem picking the seat they will be boycotting at ipox next season. There’s 40, 000 of those.

I see what you are saying….I’d be amazed (excluding the restricted view discount) were you charged more.

Just my thoughts but will be interested in the outcome.

  23. cliftonville celt, thanks for the heads up re BBC2 NI, looking forward to the game, best of luck.
