Spartak Moscow today sacked manager Unai Emeri after a 1-5 home league defeat against eight placed Dinamo Moscow. Spartak are confirmed as bottom of Celtic’s Champions League group before they head to Celtic Park for the final game on 5 December.
Emeri has been increasingly unpopular since taking over earlier this year when his spell at Valencia ended, while rumours of dissent in the dressing room were never far away. I had hoped he would remain in place for the visit to Glasgow but there will be a new man in charge by then.
A group of around 200 supporters demonstrated after the game, many chanting for the foreign players to ‘Go home’.

It’s bad for Celtic in my opinion.
Biggest Spartak problem at the moment was the discipline in the dressing room and on the pitch.

That word coachxxx is Russian idiom that comes from word “coach” but as a new noun it’s offensive word. That stands for coach but the poor one, useless and stupid. I don’t know if similar idioms exist in English language?
I can imagine the coach who will come and make the discipline the priority. That is half of success. Players like Dzuba will be kicked out the door.At least few Spartak players spent the night before derby game in the most expensive night club in Moscow. Pictures leaked out to the media today.

Spartak will play against Zenit St.Petersburg in Moscow on 2 December
Then the game against Celtic.
They will play last game against Rubin in Kazan on 10 December. Winter break after that game. For the rest of the teams winter break starts after 12th.
