Spinning Struth, high integrity and some great Celtic fans

749

It will make little difference to those who really should be paying attention.  Malcolm Murray left the Rangers International board yesterday with a statement to fans unlike anything previously heard from a departing director of a Scottish football club.  His warning is loud and clear, “Events of the last year have seen behaviour that would make the late, great, Bill Struth spin in his grave (no, he doesn’t mean the fact that all faiths are now employed at Ibrox)”.

It’ll make little difference because the groundwork has already been laid to ignore anything Malcolm Murray says by those who in previous years did the bidding of David Murray, Craig Whyte and Charles Green.  Notions of having a club “run by men of the highest integrity” don’t fit the narrative, talk of “mysterious individuals” will not be heard.

We’re now watching the equivalent of the opening scenes of Police Academy 4, the same farce will unfold with increasingly less interest from the wider world.

I know lots of good Celtic fans, lots and lots of them. Respect today to those who buy Overseas Season Tickets, meaning they can attend five games per season, but they buy tickets to 16 games for underprivileged supporters.

We are part of a genuinely incredible body of people. Stories like this simply don’t happen elsewhere. If you’re part of ‘the programme’, well done.

Just checked, Police Academy 4 was subtitled ‘Citizens on Patrol’. If only!!

I’ll never forget driving home from 0-0 at Easter Road 2nd last WGS game and he came on the radio and said it was a good game for the neutral, still can’t get my head round that.

But as bad as that football may have been conceived it seems better than the nonsense we see these days while folk sing the managers name and he waves. I like the fella but he is lucky at the lack of criticism he gets.

I think he is scared by that 424 with Maloney in Inverness that has made him over cautious ever since, sad to see that fear in a Celtic team.

  2. No true Muslim would ever dream of insulting Our Lady. She is honoured by them as the mother of the Prophet Isa. Outside the chapel near Ephesus where she and St John are supposed to have lived there is a treelined pathway. The branches on the trees are bedecked with white ribbons; the ribbons are tied there by Muslims as a sign of prayers answered.

  3. So Big Vic has actually gone. Will he be missed? Impossible to say, really but I can almost guarantee that the first time we drop points, we will be told by some on here that those points would NEVER have been dropped had Big Vic being playing!

Incidentally, how do we know the fee was £12.5 million?

The use of the term SCIAF as a derogatory one on relation to fat Sally does not originate with Celtic supporters – another delusion of stupid huns.

The full title “Sciaf loving monkey” was applied to mccoist about 5 or 6 years ago by huns, after the fat one had been involved in some promotional work for the Scottish Catholic International Aid Fund much to their chagrin.

    The airport is special :o)

Oil and gas I understand is another ball game, I might look into making the move, but from what I understand once I got the visa I’m a bonded worker, one step up from slavery.

Met a few sepam, now understand what you were saying, if I didn’t know any Irishmen that mob would give you a bad first impression, well the management anyway.

As I said, I’ve taken all I’m going to, I’ve been biting back for a few weeks now and they seem to be buckling, problem is everything is done on a firefighting basis, even the client is bottling it and that’s what frightens me most, I keep telling them to write a letter so I can demand compliance, no. I go to other meetings and they threaten to write letters, I pipe up and the threat disappears :o)

I’m starting to think if anyone demands compliance the suppliers just storm out in a huff and never come back :oD

World Cup ha ha ha ha ha, I know at least one airport I’ll never use and a World Cup I’ll no be attending.

This is a message that you and I have been advocating for almost 10 years now. I do wish someone could tell me what has prevented the Club taking such a route.

  8. jj,

And chances are they’d be right, had Vic stayed or even wanted to stay, which is more to the point, it’s quite clear it was part of his strategy to move to a more demanding and competitive competition.

It’s likely we would not have dropped them points

  9. Good luck to Victor on his new quest i’m sure he’l be a star where ever he goes.a fantastic young pro and to see the messages on twitter coming an going left me with a lump in my throat thanks for the memories big mhan hail hail y.n.w.a

I think we all knew when Neil was appointed he would be learning the management game as he went a long. Now it is only natural when you are learning a new job that from time to time you will make mistakes and that is part of the learning process. However,if we review his progress to date it must in my opinion be more than satisfactory and yes he can be to cautious at times and sometimes appears not to say the correct thing but he says it as he sees it and we cant ask for more than that.I believe he will continue to improve and if he chooses to stay with us he could well become the most successful Celtic manager ever.H.H.

I went from there to oil and gas, it’s worse, brain numbing madness. I’m blind to it now, listen to the lies all day, try my best then switch off and go home. Can’t change anything.

Indeed.I go to Marys House once a month for mass.My wife, who was brought up a hun, bless her, also goes. She loves it.This country is non secular. Not so in other Muslim countries.I worked as Terminal Manager in Saudi Arabia for 8 years and regularly saw the customs take bibles and crucifixes from people coming into the country. They banned all christian services and expelled any religious personnel.

  13. EN,

Was meant to open 2009, I’m still working on the tardis ffs, I’ve got to get the tardis ready then go back and get it open 2009, but as usual the flux capacitor manufacturers are refusing to submit a commissioning method statement and I’m damn sure I’m no writing it, I could use one I had from a previous project but bugger that, they’d want me to take out half the tests anyway, so it’ll be 2014 whether they like it or no, earliest chance if they pay attention, if no then it’s definitely inshallah

Customs in Saudi also confiscated and destroyed a hand written copy of the Qu’ran when a young muslim brought it in when he came to do the Haj.

His father had spend many years lovingly reproducing his holy book, and when he died it was passed to his son.

The Wahhabi madmen who were responsible for the destruction of this are also the madmen who sponsored the taliban through the madrasa in Pakistan and sponsored and spread the ideas of al q’ada.

And who are the wahhabi’s biggest allies and supporters. Good old Uncle Sam. You could not make this shit up.

  17. Turkeybhoy,

I am well aware that Bibles and Crucifixes are regularly confiscated from people entering the likes of Saudi; Brunei has been the same since independence. But they still have great respect for Miriam (Our Lady).

Money Muslims are as hypocritical as money Christians, masons the lot of them mamon is their only god, corruption of any decent message is their goal.

  19. Re Saudi – worked there and fe*king hated every minute of it. We lived in a camp guarded by soldiers and surrounded by AFV’s and tank traps even when we were working miles into the desert we were always accompanied by armed troops a bloody dangerous place for westerners. After a while I refused to live stay there and used to commute from Bahrain each day – major pain but well worth it. Used to take forever getting through customs / border checks on a Thursday with all the alleged devout Saudi young men piling across the border to sin in the flesh pots of Bahrain. Very good book describes how the Wahhabi control Saudi. ‘Kingdom of Hatred’ can’t recall the name of the author but well worth a read for anyone considering taking a position there.

    Tiny Tim,

We are in a similar place on how we spend the Big Vic money.

Sorry to see the guy go, but, in short to medium horizon it is a fact of life we need to get used to.

Eventually, the EPL model will burst.

For most clubs in EPL there business model is built around cash flow.

Few make a profit, and most have huge debts, which are sustainable , and survive purely on cash flow.

Eventually the bubble will burst, it always does.

Anyway, I said previously, we should use 50% of Big Vic money to buy Carlisle, Hartlepool etc, and the rest to fight the legal battle.

I am sure there is a rule in Engerland that clubs can relocate up to 90 miles, without going through strenuous hoops .. Could be interesting for us.
