Happy man after yesterday. Always tricky at Perth, even back when wee Kenny Aird was playing for the , the Muirton team.
Good to see Nadir getting a bit of a boost and Big D causing some havoc in the correct penalty box :-)
On other matters – somebody must have some seriously dodgy photos of Tom English, he has become rabid, I used to have a bit of time for him but he has lost it.

Morning Bhoys a wet morning here in Central Scotland .The treble will be very difficult to win it is easier in a one off game for the mason in the black to influence the game as we seen against St,Johnstone last season.I think we have the manager and the players to do it but the officials will make it hard. I am not sure who we will sign in the January window but the MSM are throwing names around like snow balls.H.H.
No, your missing the poin AGAIN, I made my posts pre game and predicted a 3-0 win, you may be getting it mixed up with posts on guys backing up posters in here who would have liked Celtic to get in Turkey, no?
Celtic to get hammered in Turkey….was my point in the last

I enjoyed the game yesterday. All three goals were well taken and the team looked hungry, making use of the whole squad and good substitutes.
St. Johnstone were tough opponents and caused us problems but the result speaks for itself.

I really like Istanbul . Did the tourist sites yet again.. Fabulous food and the delights of the Cagaloglu Hamam . A nostalgic trip to the Pudding shop near the Blue Mosque . Great night at Nardi’s jazz club ———-raki and PKK hash ..Mrs S of T delighted to discover that Prada is cheaper in Turkey than it is in Italy ..
Roma ? -security around the Vatican is mega .
Now it’s back to work -will watch yesterday’s game at lunchtime and then catch up with what looks like being the most competitive Serie A in yonks.
Don’t know if it has been mentioned already but I watched Sportscene. I rarely listen to the pundits’ analysis. Since Willie Miller was on, I decided to tune in. Not only was he praising Celtic but the wee numpty, Nevin, was too. Maybe he’ll sober up and be true to himself once again. If he does, he’ll be able to sleep better of a night. Of that, I’m sure.

Sure 5 in a row will be great and 10 in a row will be even better, but this may have as much to do with the huns liquidation, as it is to our current on the pitch abilities. We currently have a fitba budget that absolutely dwarves any of our domestic rivals, and quite a few of our European rivals too. It’s not really unreasonable to expect to win the domestic title with such a financial advantage. In fact, it might be unreasonable not to expect domestic success with such a huge advantage. (And long may it continue)
When measuring our success we, can we ignore the plight of our rivals? We had an era where they spent every penny that they had plus lots that they didn’t have, to keep their blue noses in front of us. They bought nine in a row. That is the value of financial clout. They don’t have that now. We do.
I have seen far better Celtic teams than the current Celtic squad win nothing at all. The 2003 Celtic team didn’t win anything , but we all know they were among the best ever Celts. Even during that god forsaken period of the huns 9IAR we had better Celtic teams and often better individual players playing more entertaining fitba than we have now. Andy Thom, Pierre, Di Canio, Cadette and John Collins etc. seem better than anyone we have now.
Sorry guys, but I’m afraid that in a hunless league, where our financial domination hides a multitude of sins, slips and slackness, our European results are the measurement of success. We play against many sides who themselves may have financial clout. Even a domestic treble doesn’t compare to a good European run. The European games are the source of credibility, the accumulator of euro seeding points, they put money in the bank and bums on seats.
To claim that domestic success is good enough with the type of financial clout we have, is living in denial. (There are more than enough folk in Glasgow doing that right now)
