  1. eddieinkirkmichael on

Hamiltontim- seriously? I was bored ridged most weeks. Every now and then we would play a blinder, some of the games against the huns were classics but they were few and far between for me. We used to grind out results most weeks with no flair.

I actually get excited these days as this team wants to play football, granted it doesn’t always happen but at times it’s a joy to watch. For me anyway.

  2. Sorry canamalar

    I was watching Sportscene

I mean you can’t even keep track of what you are saying, as far as I can see

You’re not seeing very far- You said I had said “it”- I had no idea at all as to which sentence from War & Peace you were referring to- I asked nicely if you could be specific. I might be able to keep track of my stuff but I cannot be expected to keep track of what you intended to mean.

You start on about Rangers as if there was any comparison to today’s situation, aye really, can you see any other Scottish club splashing anywhere near the cash needed to topple Celtic ?

It won’t be a bigger spending club that topples us but we will be toppled nonetheless. Rosenborg eventually lost the Norwegian league. Every dynasty club eventually loses out through tiredness, complacency or carelessness.

Wtf has socialism got to do with anything I spoke about ?

I was referring to your austerity bullshit comment which tried to paint me as a right wing board lover.

If you pay peanuts you’ll get monkeys, and you’ll drop spectators and that is the vicious circle we are now in.

And if you pay bigger money for better players how much do you get back through the gate and via CL earnings? Not enough, we have learned by tilting at the big boys who have talent in their 3rd team that they paid more for than we did for our first 11. There is no spend, within our limits, that guarantees success. And if we spend money we don’t have- we are just being Burlington Bertie FC All fur coat and nae knickers FC.

every one has accepted that there is not one player in the world that would be happy to stay with Celtic if an EPL team came knocking but Henke did, qualifying for the CL year in year out

And Henrik left too. I accept he resisted the offer from Man U and Petrov and McGeady did us the turn of signing a contract before leaving. But leave they all did and none of them would rush back for half the wages to join a 4th seed team even with regular CL qualification. Anderlecht, Zagreb and some Danish teams can offer them as much prospect of that as us.

    Oh! and Porto

Have a population twice the size of ours and, like the Ukraine, offers free access to 2nd tier Brazilians that turn out to be a lot better than first tier Europeans. If only we had moved the Darien colony to Brazil and taught them Scots.

Because you can’t think of any other way than what you have accepted as the only way, the only way our barely competent board have told you is the only way does not make it so.

And yet you have not outlined your alternative plan. You claim Lenny implemented it but you do not spell out what you think Lenny did that was different. There are no factual grounds on which to engage with you- just free-floating vitriol

    As far as I can see Lenny was accused of the same things as Ronny- agreeing to downsizing, being a Board puppet, picking his favourites, no Plan B, tactically naive, a novice etc;

Like you, I am off to my kip too. It’s been a pleasant bumping of gums but we’ve solved nothing. Unless and Until we can get a move to a league that will repay a higher risk “speculate to accumulate” policy then you can rest easy that it has not been disproved. No one is doing it and no one is funding it so it cannot fail. Even Dave King has kept tight control on his £30m war chest and over-investment.

  3. U21 game vs Chelsea from midweek is being replayed on Chelsea TV just now. Obviously Chelsea have huge resources, but we look awful. It is quite remarkable how much faster they are than us. As well as better players, they seem to have far better athletes. Fasan has been great, and our defence have tried hard (getting numbers back whenever they can) but the commentators have been totally dismissive of us …”Celtic huffing and puffing but showing no quality in any area” etc.

  4. klopp takes players in Dortmund style hand in hand line to the fans

pundits say hes unique, its clever, creates connect between team and fans

how did the msm and some on here appraise the ronny roar ?

get behind ronny whilst he is our manager. give him the support any celtic manager deserves.

  5. CultsBhoy can not relate to Celtic Board ambitions on or off the park on

My prediction is that Rogic will return to Australian football. He lacks pace for SPFL. Great technique and vision but I’d rather have McGreggor as he’s direct and a goal threat as he shoots on sight.

  6. C’mon Ronny.. give us the Treble.. We can do it.

After a miserable Euro campaign.. the trip back from Turkey, the pressure of our nearest challengers closing the gap, some of our top players missing, away to the ‘form team is Scotland’ on a shitty surface.. we turn in a second half performance like that.!! Well Done the Hoops.

10 out of 10 wins immediately after Euro games, is perfect.

Give us the Treble, and get us ready to go again at Europe.

Even the doubters must now be converting to the Ronny way.

    Hail Hail.

Any manager could manage Celtic to winning domestically

  8. Cultsbhoy,

You’ve mentioned a couple of times now about commons being on the bench.

When was the last time he was fully fit and didn’t start?

  9. “Any manager could manage Celtic to winning domestically”

    With respect, utter garbage.

Picking your best 11 on a match day is about 10% of their work

  10. You know, being a ‘Supporter’ is just that… behind the team, win / lose / draw.. taking defeat and turning up again the following week. Credit when we win, constructive criticism when we lose, question the team selection, yes.. but stop comparing us to teams were not.. enjoy what we have, be ambitious, but be realistic as well. What Team in Scotland and many many in England and further afield would not give everythin to be Celtic.

No one hurts more than me after a defeat or a very poor Euro campaign, but, this afternoon made up for it.. C’mon the Hoops, give us the Treble.

    COYBIG.

  11. Hi/morning all. The fact that our Chairman/Board were complicit in drawing up the “Five-Way Agreement” should have set the alarm bells ringing for all real Celtic fans. The Bigot Pound is the bottom line for these guys,

My one major disappointment of the day was Ciftci’s celebration of his second goal. He attempted a kind of roll /somersault which was neither a roll or a somersault. Hoopy or The Michelin Man would have done a lot better.

Corkcelt – It was straight out of an ISIS training video.

  13. SFTB and Canamalar great to see a clash of minds and ideas instead of personal attacks. Very engaging and good stuff lads. Keep it up. This is what I want to see on CQN. Hail Hail.

  22. Suburb the othersideof the Darnley dams salubrious is not a description that is normally associated with my ain grey toon but it should be. Hail. Hail.

  23. So, when do the trophies get stripped ?

When does all the stolen money get paid back ?

When do Rangers get banned from playing at ibrokes on safety issues ?

When will Glibby get pulled for perjury last week ?

    When will Lawwell GTF ?

Neil Lennon goes to watch, Diawarra….gets back to find that, Lawwell has signed Bangura for £2.5 million of Celtic supporters money and, he still got his bonus ?….Think about the long list of strikers that have been brought into the club at considerable cost ah mean, they brought in about six strikers who couldny kick their own erses rather than….sign Johnny Russell ?…Was it coz Russell didny have a foreign agent ?…That’s just one instance of a scunnering spell of – condoned mis-management – over the recent period….Only, severely, severely, severely, severely neutered Celtic fans would accept such incompetence…did Lawwell and Park get a better deal for themselves off the foreign agent ?….Celtic supporters should be asking why ????…The likes of Phil Mac, Auldheid, Paul67 etc….arent asking why the likes of Lawwell and Park havent been reigned in ?….Then again….who’d do the reigning in ?…DD disny give a flying duck….we’ll probably not hear from him now until….it looks like the huns are coming over the hill ?…..No harm to Ronny but, he disny seem to have the devious, shifty, shady, streetwise, flyer-than-a-jiler qualities about him to deal with….all the evil that the huns will bring to the table….Then again,…maybe it suits Lawwell and Park to have a nice guy in the dug-out rather than a shady shark which….you will have to be to deal with managing Celtic.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! The rudderless ship scenario is so feckin frustrating…..but, ye know what ?….From a selfish pov, I can console myself by the knowledge that….it’s not my money that Lawwell and Park are…doing whatever their doing with it……But, it’s a shame that so many goodwilled folk canny see that, Lawwell and Park are destroying Celtic FC from within….that’s the saddest aspect to all of this.

Dont let a win over St Johnstone take yer eye off the ball….Celtic are not in the CL because of a scandalous period of condoned mis-management over the recent period whilst, the supportes have been distracted by events at Sevco. Dont any of you ever stop for one minute and think….if these investigative-bampots can dig out so much stuff about the carry-on over at ibrokes….why, dont they get to the bottom of the condoned mismanagement of Celtic FC ?

    ………canny be bothered, bye……

  24. Great result yesterday, I noticed (predictably) some ( the usual suspects) still not happy, …the team win the board gets it…..the team drops point/points the manager gets it…..to me these people will never be satisfied until we have a CEO turning up at his office with jeans cut at the knees, a combat jacket with ban the bomb and Palestinian badges on it and a Bob Marley T-shirt with a hash leaf on it, sitting in his office playing Bob Dylan CDs all day, while sparking up the odd joint and dreaming about the pretty colours of the flares that the GB let off.

A 3-0 was predicated in here yesterday by me :) did I bet that? No, but it sure as hell beat the negativity in here, oh and trying to take the shine off the victory with BUT our European record was rubbish? Aye ok we get that, oh! And wait for the……a treble is easy it’s no a big deal……..REALY? Well there’s a certain Wee organisation here in Scotland working on that as we speak, sorry for the possativity, but supporting your team in here is allowed.

Lurking Huns and the negativity mob…..GIRFUYs

    No European Hangover For Celtic!

Celtic returned from Thursday’s Europa League tie in Turkey against Fenerbache to face an in form St Johnstone at McDairmid Park at lunchtime today.

If ever there was a ‘banana skin’ type of game has to be this one. We dropped points at the end of last season there so it was always going to be a tough task.

With captain Scott Brown still missing, Ronny had also to do without top scorer Leigh Griffiths who’s still out with a calf injury. That meant a first league starting place for Nadir Ciftci since October.

That decision was to prove decisive as Nadir helped himself to two goals, one in each half, in a convincing 3-0 win, with the commanding Dedryck Boyata scoring with a powerful header just after the break.

The performance was typical of Celtic playing after a midweek European tie under Ronny Deila. A…

Despite what the SMSM tell us, winning 16 games out of 16, scoring 51 goals for the loss of 7 is hardly ‘indifferent’ as described by BBC’s Tom English today! That record IS worthy of talking about, although they won’t.

And to rub salt into their wounds, the result takes us back to four points clear of Aberdeen at the top of the league with a game in hand, with our much maligned defence conceding only 12 goals in the league, while our goals scored tally has reached 44.

As much as we all want to do well in Europe, winning and getting a settled team in domestic games goes a long way to achieving that. We should get behind the Bhoys in EVERY game not just the European ones….

My impression is that the European hangover was always after a good result in Europe, when we were playing for something, and the players minds seemed to be elsewhere. I doubt that was the case after the meaniningless draw in Turkey.

Still, a wins a win, and is to be welcomed.

We are however not yet at the stage where beating Team Perth comes as a surprise.
