However, the late Joe Strummer would have welcomed the content of the speech Mhairi Black gave. I’m not a SNP supporter,I only support my family and Celtic. Her speech was a lot better than the usual stuff spouted by a new MP at Westminster.
When Michael Martin was the speaker at Westminster , the English media derided Michael because of his accent , referring to him as Gorbals Mick despite him being from the north of Glasgow.
It was good to hear a Scottish MP using her natural accent .

I can’t stand Mhairi Black or her politics and I find her view on Celtic repulsive. She is imo a pure Ned made good, having said that – by any measure her maiden speech was highly impressive. Ideally it would be tha last we hear of her but I suspect we’ll hear a lot more before she ultimately destroys herself..
