Tantric Tuesday

908

After yesterday’s action-packed fast moving day in the political world that is Scottish football today has been Tantric Tuesday as Rangers administrators, Duff and Phelps, took their time and examined all areas in consultations with players over redundancies.  Gregg Wylde and Mervan Celik left the club early afternoon as the first hard consequences of years of abundant excesses manifested, leaving Duff and Phelps joint administrators locked in talks with the rest of the players.  No one can accuse them of not working for their £600 per hour per head.

I would like to be the first to congratulate Aberdeen on winning the treble in season 1992-93. An outstanding achievement.

institutional sectarian racism is becoming more and more apparent every time you pay attention the scottish meeja.

  2. The financial argument for rangers avoiding consequences is hilarious – let them back into the spl – the clubs need them – yeah the clubs really need another 20 years of tax avoidance/evasion/ illegality/ non payments/ unadministration/ reneiging.

re Huns winning the Diddy Cup, sure they only qualified for it by getting beat by us in the Scottish Cup Final

    Any idea how Dynamo qualified.

Was it a loser from Scotland v a loser from Russia.

I heard Neil Doncaster on shortbread earlier and heard his comments about procedure to bring Newco into SPL etc .

I read it a bit different to the views expressed here earlier.

I thought he was hiding behind procedure when Jabba was trying to get him to express his opinion. ie “I am there to ensure the rules (that the clubs put in place) are followed.

Admitedly I did not hear it all.

I still feel pretty down in the dumps about Paul McBride. Although laughed at many of the hilarious posts on here today. I still feel sad.

The Celtic Board – tactically, legally, timely etc.. – have been magnificent. A large part of that has definitely been down to Paul. He was brilliant.

The thought that Paul has sat the board down over the last few months, and schooled them on what Rangers would do, makes me feel better. They will be well prepared.

    No Newco.

Paul McBride – On eagles wings…

  10. i must admit i hate all this stuff about rangers/ newco/ players going, its getting boring i’ll be checking back in if/ when the huns go bust.

if they are allowed back in to the spl then ts the death nail in scottish football and if celtic agree to it i’ll switch the lights out on the way out the door and i’am sure that willl be the case for many of fans of clubs throughout the spl

Is it true that three quarters of the clubs in the SPL have credit facilities provided by HBoS (Lloyds)?

You would think that any discussions of a Newco walking straight back into the SPL would have lenders threatening to withdraw credit facilities in case they got burned by other clubs going down the same route as RFCIL.

On the other hand, a single lender with so many clubs dependant on it’s credit would be in a very strong position to influence the decisions made by the management at those clubs. Such as protecting the Sky TV deal by voting to admit Newco RFC into the SPL.

    Is that Financial Fair Play?

Celtic have not shown any signs of helping rfcia out in any way so that will deffo be 1 vote against. Celtic have never done anything to the detriment of CFC or its support since 1994 and I don’t believe they tried to before that(just incompetent).

I agree with you that the blood lust and craving when the chum line runs out is a bit boring and possibly unneccessary and the final result is all that matters.

In mitigation though, many punters on here will have their own personal example of injustice or just plain sadness at the bile thet have been covered in over the years so each of us with have a different time when we feel just like you do now.

I got out of Scotland a long time ago so am not feeling as excited as someone working, living, drinking with those who feel they are a cut above through birthright.

I used to rage against that particular machine and would be dancin on the ceilin if still in Glasgow with ma man Mabawsa. Oh no it was Lionel!!

Day of reckoning will be soon.

    Absolutely.

This scandal has outgrown the kailyard, and the SFA rednecks know it. Europe is watching intently, and Europe is not in the The Ludge.

This is the turning point for Scotland:

Acknowledge the existence of the cancer.

    Operate to remove it.

    Recuperate.

    We’re at stage 1.
