Tantric Tuesday

908

After yesterday’s action-packed fast moving day in the political world that is Scottish football today has been Tantric Tuesday as Rangers administrators, Duff and Phelps, took their time and examined all areas in consultations with players over redundancies.  Gregg Wylde and Mervan Celik left the club early afternoon as the first hard consequences of years of abundant excesses manifested, leaving Duff and Phelps joint administrators locked in talks with the rest of the players.  No one can accuse them of not working for their £600 per hour per head.

I would like to be the first to congratulate Aberdeen on winning the treble in season 1992-93. An outstanding achievement.

  2. Paul, someone earlier on pointed out that given the time theye’ve spent on discussions with players today, the Administrators have probably ‘spent’ the money they saved by getting rid of Wylde and Celik. They’re doing some job!!!

  3. I see there is an inquiry into the Rangers Charity Foundation and the Legends game now. It just keeps coming but I just can’t get enough!

I hope there’s not a Sting in Tantric Tuesday! (obscure reference I know, but couldn’t resist it).

Met a Rangers supporter today who actually looked embarrassed about the situation. Rather like a wee boy who was caught steeling money from his Mummy’s purse.

Just wish rangers would limp away, find a quiet spot, put the gun to their head and pull the trigger…

  17. Last year, the world saw the Arab Spring and the domino effect that had in removing corrupt despotic leaders.

How will we tag the saga that is unfolding daily in Aul Scotia, now that the dominoes are just beginning to tumble?

I find there is something quite poetic about the Whyte Spring.

If their management team ‘walk away’, what will Ally’s comments be I wonder?

  19. All hail The Red Lichties victory over Ragers.

The second division outfit trailed by 4 goals to nil but managed to snatch a remarkable 3 nil victory.

    Gers boss said,

” If you look at the stats you will see we had 80% possession, our keeper had no saves to make and I am absolutely very proud of our performance. If I am honest with you, I cannot believe we lost that game.”

  20. EmeraldBee\o/, indeed.

BOBBY MURDOCH’S, need to stay on your toes.

Jelly And Gelato, it’s all true.

    Agent Craig, who knows!

Highland Tim, !*!* Wish I’d thought of that one! Tried for an angle for Sting.

    Patrick27, indeed.

That would be a double crime as he would have also stolen from his sister/grandmother’s purse as well. ;-)

  22. Am I imagining things or is our host suggesting that this will go as far back as 20 years?

Should give the Dons a big boost for the 2012/13 season, 20th anniversary of their great treble winning side. As memory serves they absolutely ran away with the league that season!

  23. The Onlooker on

SFL dont want to join the party: see below

( probably because this would take them into 9 in a row territory- enough sacred cows (goats?) being sacrificed )

    The Onlooker

The Scottish Football League (SFL) has no current plans to investigate allegations of ‘hidden’ contracts at Rangers, STV understands.

Former Rangers director Hugh Adam recently claimed former players were paid using Employee Benefit Trusts (EBTs) from the mid-1990s, potentially pre-dating the SPL.

The club are facing a probe from the Scottish Premier League (SPL) over claims not all payments to players were declared in playing agreements, as per league rules. The Scottish Football Association (SFA) are also looking into the accusations.

The SPL’s investigation dates back to the inception of the league in 1998, prior to which the Premier Division was controlled by the SFL.
