Taxpayers do not sponsor lazy gossips

1055

I know what you were thinking; Zenden, like Ljungberg, but older.  We need experience in the squad but with Commons, Ledley, Samaras and McCourt all able to stake a claim for the left midfield position this is the last place we need to bring in a 35-year-old.  Best of luck to the player but I’m pleased he has left Glasgow.

Today’s Sun report that a senior policeman witnessed a crime being committed but instead of doing what he is paid to do, he reported the incident to Uefa.  You have to wonder about the veracity of the crime.  The officer will do well to explain his actions if they amount to anything more than a few lines in a newspaper.

We are all partisan in this city but Justice is blind to such emotions and taxpayers (that’s you and me) do not sponsor lazy gossips.

James Forrest I feel your pain on living in this bitter wee country but I would hope younger guys like yourself wouldnt emigrate to get away from the bad influences that surround us.We need clever articulate young guys to stay and have a voice of opposistion against the mindless majority who try to persecute us at every turn.H.H.

  8. I find it funny how a so called Strathclyde SENIOR Officer heard Celtic fans singing secterian songs against Rennes at Celtic Park.

The same cops who have never heard rangers fans at a euro home game. Never heard them at CIS cup final in March and of course never heard them in the cup tie against Falkirk with their full repertoire;this is an evening up process and whataboutery of the highest order. Deep rooted hatred for all things Celtic, Catholic or Irish will take generations to get rid of; this is all that is being proven by The Sun’s article.

    Keep the Faith!

    Hail Hail!

  9. 9 days since the Rennes match and I imagine that the club will have been in receipt of the UEFA match delegates in that time

What puzzles me is that Celtic have made no mention of any complaints arising from the said match through any of the clubs official media outlets

Typical Sun article no names of any sources named throughout A club insider ? A police Big wig ? A UEFA spokesman ?

Welcome to my world. I know exactly what you mean but the difference between us is I am out of it for the most part and glad I am.

Britain is finished and Scotland away from sobering influence of Westminster would be ten times worse. We are seeing the start of it.

Get out if you can, you’ll feel better for it and you won’t lose your love of our club and what makes us a great bunch of people collectively.

It was the best decision I’ve ever made.

Im quite relaxed with the UEFA investigation I expect a clean bill of health. This will be another blow to the Offensive Bill and also make the Police Officer concerned job untenable (in the real world). The bigots are cranking up the pressure but wait until the pre-pack happens I believe a few stories will be flying around that day whilst the neanderthal try mass suicide. Is it true James Joseph Traynor is in the Knights and is the unseen fenian hand?

  15. God bless all mothers..

Some amount of beggars in Glasgow now, it took me an hour and a half to get my taxi fare last night.

Good luck to you all, off for a pint.

You say it will take generations before this stops, yeah? I think you are being hugely optimistic, hugely.

You can bet all you have that as we write, plans are being drwan up so that hun get away with the minimal of upset and even the point deduction will be either dropped or maybe kept at 3 points, wait and see. ” They” are not to be trusted.

Your wrong and of course right at the same time.

What you have very eloquently said is why I left too. So the day has actually started well because you sound like you have made a positive decision regarding where you want to live. Come to Australia brother where you can still get a fair crack of the whip.

I agree that I would miss parts of the country. I do believe we have friendly, open, warm and decent people here for the most part. For the most part.

But we have institutions, like the media, which pander to the lowest common denominator, a political system which relies on ignorance to operate, a history which is not one to inspire pride and we have … traditions … which belong in the dark ages.

I am very dispirited today about the whole place.

  23. …Malone 19…

A summary of the Sun article and my thoughts:

The Sun running with Celtic being pulled by UEFA. It’s understood a senior Strathclyde officer working at the Rennes match earlier this month approached UEFA delegates with the chant claim

So the process to even things up has begun. IRA chants aren’t unlawful so this story appears to be nothing to me but an attempt at tarring the “Old Firm” with the problem and not the orcs.

I would also add that although IRA chants are not unlawful, there is no place for them at Celtic Park.

I never realised Zenden was so highly thought of.

No wonder he wanted to go to Scotland with all the fans he has there…

  26. James Forrest, you do sound a wee bit (maybe a big bit) down. Why don’t you go along and meet up with Kitalba and the bhoys, it’ll help Kit and you can sound out you’re thoughts to fellow tims over a cold one.

  27. StMichaelsBhoy2 on

Reading the report on Scotzine, they seem to be quoting a UEFA spokesperson as saying, “We have opened a disciplinary case against Celtic.” Apparently to be heard on the 8th December.

IF this turns out to be true, and IF it’s about rebel songs, then we should have nothing to be worried about, but if a couple of idiots have been singing sectarian add-ons to something, we could be in bother.
